Yesterday was my first full day here in Waikiki, HI and it was a gloriously warm and very relaxing day. Once I finished up with work, I ventured out into the city to soak up the sun and find some food. I did a bit of window shopping on my way to Duke’s for a meal of macadamia nut crusted chicken (which was amazing, btw) and ONE Lava Flow drink. Emma and I drank a few of these when we visited Hawai’i last year so I had to drink one in her honor. I spent much of the afternoon walking around, just generally enjoying the company of all the friendly locals. Man, this place is great. I spent my night in … but when you find out who kept me indoors all night, you’ll totally understand why. More »

Because Miley Cyrus was NOT nominated for a single Grammy Award this year she was not invited to perform at the Grammy Awards Nomination Concert inside the Nokia Theater in LA last night … but it really wasn’t a big deal for Ms. Cyrus because she was otherwise engaged with a performance at the annual KIIS FM Jingle Ball concert inside the Staples Center right across the street. As you can see in the gallery presented here, Miley used her performance last night to go buckwild on a dirt-ass, trashy Santa Claus proving once and for all that she deff belongs on the Naughty List this year. Have a look at the photos from Cyrus‘s performance last night to see exposed tongue, twerking and all around general Mileyness. Nothing says Merry Xmas like a young popstar rubbing her ass up against Santa Claus‘s crotch, right?

Home For The Holidays
Earlier this month we learned that Amanda Bynes would most likely be home for the holidays. Amanda has been in the Malibu rehab facility The Canyon for a few months now and has apparently been making some progress. This is great news because there was a period of time when she was first hospitalized and– according to reports that we were hearing– things just seemed to be getting progressively worse for her. But Amanda‘s officially home for the holidays! And according to reports, she’s looking into studying fashion in college. Click inside for more.

Mimi Claus Comes to Town
Mariah Carey has become about as synonymous with Xmas as Santa Claus in recent years so it should come as no surprise whatsoever that she was asked — AGAIN (and again) — to perform a short set of holiday songs in Rockefeller Center in NYC, NY as part of NBC‘s annual Christmas in Rockefeller Center television special. Mimi taped her performance (complete with costume change) in Manhattan last night ahead of tonight’s big tree lighting ceremony (which will all be aired on NBC). Click thru the gallery presented here to see photos of Mimi doing the damn thing last night looking as radiant and merrily festive as ever! Now that Mariah has started her traditional annual holiday push, it really IS beginning to look a lot like Xmas.
Yes, you read the title right
Christmas is coming so Love magazine has teamed up with popstar Miley Cyrus to remind their readers that the hallowed holiday is nearly upon us. Each day leading up to Xmas Day, Love will release a short video featuring an “It” girl of the day as a way to countdown to Xmas in a digital advent calendar sort of way. Miley‘s video has been released and, as you might expect, the video is silly, ridiculous and a tiny bit controversial. In the clip, which you can watch in full above, Miley lifts her skirt and flashes her flesh-color panties that feature a hand-drawn penis on them … cuz nothing says Xmas like the flashing of one’s penis panties. Watch the video above to have a look … or click below to see a screenshot of the offending penis panties.
Unfortch, low ratings mean not a lot of people have seen this performance
Back in October we learned that Lady Gaga was teaming up with The Muppets for a holiday special set to air on ABC on Thanksgiving night. Among the performances that took place on the Lady Gaga & Muppets Holiday Spectacular was a duet between Gaga and Joseph Gordon-Levitt on the somewhat disturbing (in a date-rapey sort of way) holiday classic Baby It’s Cold Outside (which, despite the creepy lyrics remains a perennial favorite). Honestly, this song isn’t really my favorite (due to the creepiness of the lyrics) but I do love me some JGL so I have to share the performance with all y’all. Unfortunately for Gaga and ABC, the holiday special didn’t really do well in the ratings so it’s likely that many of you didn’t even see this performance when it aired Thursday night. Click above to watch the performance and see what you think. While I’m not crazy about the song, I do appreciate the simplicity of the performance and, well, JGL in anything is worth checking out (sometimes repeatedly).
A Family Affair
Our dear Britney Spears had to stay close to her LA home for Thanksgiving this year due to the rigorous rehearsal schedule she has committed to ahead of the debut of her Las Vegas concert residency Britney: Piece of Me. As a result, Britney couldn’t go home for the holiday to see her family in Kentwood, LA. Instead, the Spears family made their way to SoCal to celebrate with Britney and her sons … and they brought all the fixins of a Spears Thanksgiving with them. Britney posted a collage photo on her official Facebook profile that gives us a taste of how she celebrated the annual day of Thanks with her family. A deep fried turkey was involved so, yeah, you know she enjoyed a great day with her family. More »
This. Is. Brilliant.
Altho Thanksgiving was a couple of days ago, I have some fun leftovers to share with all y’all this weekend. Jimmy Fallon had guests Rashida Jones and Carrie Underwood on his show Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this week and he got them both to perform parody versions of some of our fave pop songs of the day in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. I’ve tried to come up with a way to adequately describe the amazingness what Jimmy, Rashida and Carrie came up with but I think I shall let the video embedded above speak for itself. Check out the video to see these amazingly talented people perform renditions of songs by Daft Punk, Katy Perry, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Icona Pop, Robin Thicke and more. Folks, it’s brilliance … pure and simple. Jimmy Fallon always does the holidays right, watch above and see what I mean.

Okay, so maybe my Thanksgiving yesterday wasn’t the actual laziest day of all (especially due to the fact that my friends and I got up at 5AM to run the Detroit Turkey Trot in the freezing falling snow) but AFTER we finished our morning workout, it quickly became the laziest day of all. Despite the fact that I posted a few photos on Instagram early yesterday, I didn’t really take many photos for the rest of the day. I was really preoccupied with visiting with my friends that I didn’t even think to snap photos like I usually do. Photos were snapped of me, tho, so if you like, you can click below to see what I got up to last night. More »

Just a quick post to share some of the the fun that my friends and I enjoyed on Thanksgiving and to talk a bit about some of the many things that I am thankful for this holiday season. For the second year in a row, my friends and I participated in the annual Detroit Turkey Trot race that takes place in downtown Detroit every Thanksgiving morning. Of the approximately 470 races that take place on Thanksgiving day all across the country, the Detroit race is among the most popular (last year it was the third most popular behind races in San Diego and Sacramento, CA). It was cold last year but nowhere near as cold as it was this year. The high temp early Thanksgiving morning ranged between 21 and 23 degrees F. It was only when Mark and I (the first in our group to race, we did the 10K run … the rest of our group did the 5K run an hour later) were walking to the starting line that we realized that it had begun to snow. And if you can believe it, the 31st annual Detroit Turkey Trot this year was one of the funnest races I’ve ever run in my life! More »
