Next Year In Jerusalem

The TV Guide

Last evening, at sundown, I was invited to enjoy a Seder dinner with my dear friends Emma and Josh in celebration of the Jewish holiday of Passover. As some of you readers may know, it’s been a couple of years since I celebrated Passover so it was really nice for me to get back in there and reclaim the holiday … even tho I’m not Jewish. Passover is such a special holiday where family and friends get together to be thankful for what they have while remembering the struggle of our ancestors. Last night’s Seder was Emma and Josh’s first ever held at their home and it was an honor to be included in their celebration. After our insanely delicious dinner, we rested for a bit while we waited for the lunar eclipse to take place at 12:06 AM PT and then we spent some time watching the Blood Moon take form overhead. Yeah, last night was a pretty special night all around. More »

‘Empire’ Overload

The TV Guide

Yesterday, as you may be well aware from my countless updates on social media, was Rex Manning Day which is a day that fans of the movie Empire Records can celebrate together worldwide. Last night, a few castmembers from Empire Records live-tweeted the movie so that fans around the world could partake in the fun altogether. As a HUGE fan of the movie, I was in heaven all day yesterday. I only ventured out for a quick trip to pick up some food but I spent my entire day partaking in the Empire celebration that took place online. It was fun. More »

Dunkin’ Donuts Is Releasing Peeps Donuts For Easter

A match made in heaven

Having grown up in Michigan, I am well aware of the amazingness of Dunkin’ Donuts. Because there are no Dunkin’ Donuts stores here in Southern California (yet), I’ve gotten used to living my life without a little Dunkin’ in it. Normally, I’m able to get thru the day without missing those delicious donuts … until now. Dunkin’ Donuts has announced that they are releasing Peeps-flavored donuts for the Easter holiday this year and they look so damn good, I’m actually contemplating a move BACK to the Midwest just so I can indulge. Ok, I’m not really planning to move but the concept of a Dunkin’ donut married with a Peeps marshmallow is enough to make me want to do some crazy things. MMMM. More »

Santa Patrick’s Day

The TV Guide

Yesterday morning I woke up in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA and right now, I’m back in my temporary home in Manhattan Beach, CA recovering from a very fun St. Patrick’s Day. I didn’t drink and party like you’re supposed to on St. Patrick’s Day, instead I spent my day in the company of really good friends on a very LONG day. We were able to enjoy a leisurely morning in Santa Barbara before we made the drive back home to LA. The weather was bright and sunny and traffic, if you can believe it, wasn’t Hell on Earth. All in all, it was a pretty nice St. Pat’s. More »

Mariah Carey Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day As Only Mariah Carey Can Do

"Erin go Bragh!!!"

Last month we got to see a batch of fabulously fabulous photos from Mariah Carey‘s Valentine’s Day celebration and yesterday, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, Mimi blessed her lambs with a few photos from her St. Paddy’s celebration. Unfortunately, MC did not commit as fully to her St. Patrick’s Day photos as she did to her VD photos (which came from full blown impromptu photoshoot on social media) but as you can see in the photos below, she did have some fun. Mariah showed off what looked to be a shamrock tattoo on one of her ta-tas but she confirms, it’s not permanent … it’s only for laughs. More »

Madonna Dresses As Daenerys Targaryen From ‘Game Of Thrones’ For The Jewish Holiday Of Purim

"Happy Purim!!!!!"

The Jewish holiday of Purim is upon us once again … a fact that I know only because Madonna has posted photos of the costume she has selected for the holiday this year. Purim, as you may know, is a Jewish holiday of deliverance that is celebrated by (among other things) the wearing of masks and costumes. In years prior, Madonna has dressed up as her teenage daughter Lourdes Maria, she has dressed as Charlie Chaplin, she has dressed as a Betty Page-like pin up girl and this year, she has dressed as Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons from Game of Thrones. Check out her fun photos below. More »

Fat Tuesday At Disneyland

The TV Guide

My friend Eileen and I made our way down to Anaheim, CA to spend the evening at Disneyland together and altho our visit was short, we had a great time together nonetheless. I registered for an Annual Pass event where I would be able to meet and get a photo with Captain America but honestly, that wasn’t even the highlight of the trip. Eileen and I decided that we were going to eat as much fun stuff as we could in honor of Fat Tuesday and we managed to nosh on many of our faves. Because both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure closed at 8PM last night, we didn’t have as much time as we would’ve liked to play in the parks … but we ate, rode some rides and had a much fun as we could anyways.
