Earlier this month, actor Neil Patrick Harris married his partner of 10 years David Burtka in an intimate ceremony attended by close family and friends at a castle in Italy, as one does, and as you may recall, he shared photos from the couple’s nuptials HERE and HERE. Last night, NPH paid a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman to share more details about his wedding ceremony and share more photos from his special night. Click the embed above to hear Neil talk a bit about his wedding ceremony and keep an eye out for two really amazing photos from Mr. & Mr. Burtka-Harris‘s wedding night.
Mr. & Mrs. Clooney meet the World
The first photos from George Clooney‘s wedding ceremony to Amal Alamuddin have been published here in the US on the cover and in the pages of People magazine and internationally on the cover and in the pages of Hello! magazine (the very same way that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt chose to publish their wedding photos). I had heard that the wedding photos might be featured in the new issue of Vogue magazine and while some photos may appear in the fashion mag, it’s clear that People and Hello! were willing to pay much more money for the right to publish the photos first. For a cost of €600
On Saturday we learned that actor George Clooney and fiancée Amal Alamuddin got themselves married in a lavish ceremony in Italy that was attended by family and A-List friends. Yesterday, we learned some deets about the wedding shindig as dished by folks who managed to score an invite to the affair. BUT, the couple weren’t actually legally married until they showed up at the city hall building in Venice, Italy this morning for their civil wedding ceremony. For the cost of €600, George and Amal got legally married today with far much less hoopla than the ceremony they enjoyed on Saturday night. Click through the gallery presented here to see the stylishly simple wedding attire that George and Amal wore for their civil ceremony at city hall in the Ca’ Loredan Building. As I understand it, the lavish ceremony was photographed for publication in Vogue magazine. The photos were sold for gads of money, which will be donated to charity, and should be published in Vogue‘s next issue. Stay tuned.
Bill Murray was at this crazy-lavish event!
I’ve never been the type to harp on wedding details. When a celebrity gets married, I’m happy to share the news and move on with my life. But not this time. Something about the few details we had on George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s wedding made me thirsty for more. So I was happy to see more tidbits had emerged about the couple’s big night. Maybe I’m just obsessed with Clooney, and I didn’t quite realize it… or maybe I’m just hella jealous, but I need to know about what else they had popping off at this thing… in addition to those incredible taxi boats. I feel like they had the most amazing wedding ever
It is finished. We’ve been following all of the news about George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin‘s upcoming nuptials, and the wedding ceremony officially went down today. They are hitched, y’all! Let me just say that I finally watched Gravity recently, and definitely had one of those “This guy is never going to stop being hot, ever,” moments, RE: Clooney, so props to Alamuddin for locking it down. Yesterday Trent shared photos of this beautiful couple in Venice, Italy, and—considering the location—I have to assume that the whole affair was lovely. Click inside for more!
Earlier this week I attending a showing of Tom Hardy‘s new film The Drop and I was reminded that he and girlfriend Charlotte Riley have been engaged for a few years now and briefly wondered if the two had set a wedding date yet. Today we learn that the couple have not set a wedding date in the future because the pair reportedly got married in secret over 4th of July weekend. As far as I can tell, neither Tom nor Charlotte have confirmed this news but The Sun is reporting that the couple have, in fact, been married for the past 2 months. Clearly, this is the year of secret celebrity weddings. More »
They didn't make their $2 mil. back
At the start of this month, we got to see the photos from Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s wedding in the pages of People magazine. Today we learn that altho People paid $2 million dollars for the rights to publish the photos, they weren’t able to sell as many magazines as they hoped. When People bought and published the photos of the Brangelina twins when they were born, the sold gads of magazines. For the Brangelina wedding photos, tho? Not as many magazines were sold. Hmmm. Yesterday we got our first look at Lauren LC Conrad‘s wedding photos on the cover of this week’s issue of Us Weekly magazine and today we get to check out a photo of LC‘s dress in full. All of her wedding photos are featured in Us Weekly this week but I know some folks were wondering what her dress, designed by Badgley Mischka, looked like and you can see it in full below. Back in October of last year we learned that Lauren LC Conrad, star of the MTV reality shows Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills, got herself engaged to be married. Last month, we got our first look at the bridesmaids dresses she designed herself as featured in Martha Stewart Weddings magazine. Today we learn that LC went and got hitched last weekend and shares her wedding photos with the world this week in the new issue of Us Weekly magazine. Alas, LC did not get married to Stephen Colletti, Jason Wahler nor Brody Jenner. Instead, LC got hitched to William Tell. Last week George Clooney announced publicly that he would be getting married to fiancée Amal Alamuddin “in a few weeks” in Venice, Italy and every since then folks have been looking for wedding signs. Today we hear that the Belmond Hotel Cipriani will be the location for the Alamuddin/Clooney wedding and that the hotel is working feverishly to be ready for the big day. I’m hearing that the couple will enjoy a few wedding ceremonies in different locales but it sounds like the ceremony in Venice will be the big one. Click below to see photos of the place where George will reportedly say goodbye to his bachelorhood. More »
