Marriage Equality Comes To Maine As The First Same-Sex Couples Wed

Last month, for the first time in our nation’s history, marriage equality won in US states based on popular vote and at 12:00 AM this morning, the right for same-sex couples to marry went into law. Throngs of people filled the streets in front of city hall in Portland, Maine to celebrate the first same-sex marriages to take place in the State, extending further the freedom to marry in this country. It was a jubilant moment, as you can imagine. Back in September we learned that lovebirds Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got themselves hitched in a private ceremony that took place in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina and, as you may recall, not a single photo from the couple’s nuptials came to light. The day after, we saw photos of Jessica, the soon to be legally Mrs. Timberlake, showing off her wedding bling then … Justica was gone. Yesterday we learned that the very fertile Levi Johnston got himself married to his second babymama Sunny Oglesby in a small wedding in Alaska over the weekend. Today we get to see photos and VIDEO from the ceremony, which will be featured on today’s episode of Inside Edition. Apparently, Levi and Sunny struck a deal with Inside Edition for the exclusive rights to air their wedding and RIGHT NOW we get our first look at the happy nuptials which included the couple’s baby girl Breeze Beretta!!! Last month we got our first look at baby girl Breeze Baretta, daughter of Levi Johnston and Sunny Oglesby. Many of us had not-so-high expectations of Levi Johnston as a father of two, after his on again/off again engagement to Bristol Palin, with whom he has a four year-old son Tripp. But Levi is apparently not interested in having two babymamas (one will usually suffice)– and he got hitched! Levi and Sunny tied the knot yesterday in Alaska, y’all! Congratulations are pretty much in order.

Last week we learned that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake got themselves married in an intimate wedding ceremony in Italy and shortly thereafter, we got our first look at the couple’s wedding photos. Today we learn that Jessica has decided to change her last name to Timberlake, honoring an age old tradition where women take the last name of their husbands. It is not uncommon these days for women to retain their last name after marriage but clearly Jessica decided that she wanted to go the traditional route and change her last name from Biel to Timberlake. Yesterday we learned that People magazine won the rights to publish Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake‘s wedding photos here in the US (while OK! magazine won the rights to publish in Europe) by shelling out a reported sum of $300,000. to the couple for the photos. Today, we get our FIRST LOOK at Justica‘s wedding photos which will appear in this week’s NEW issue of People magazine. Congratulations are in order for newlyweds Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake NOT because they got marred in Italy last weekend but because they managed to seal a deal worth $300,000. for the rights to publish their wedding photos. According to a new report out today, People magazine supposedly coughed up $300k for the exclusive right to publish Justica‘s wedding photos in an upcoming issue of their magazine. Dang.
