Last night my BFF Adriana came over to see my new place and hang out for a bit before we made our way to a sushi bar nearby. She and I had been texting all day about our NEED for a sushi dinner so our plans to see a movie fell by the wayside after we started stuffing our faces. Aide came by my place for a quick tour beforehand and then it was sushi time! Wee!! More »

Today is the day that my dad is scheduled to be released from the hospital but until he’s home in his own bed, I can’t really relax. My mom and I went to visit him yesterday before his last night in the joint and he was in high spirits, looking back to his old self. I have a flight out to LA this afternoon much earlier in the day than I like but because of the last minute nature of my flight reservation, it was the latest flight in the day that I could get. BUT, I’m hoping that dad will be released early enough that I can drive him home before I have to leave for the hospital. More »
'Michael Jackson was great. But Prince...'
I’m not sure why/how we haven’t had an André 3000/Outkast Throwback Thursday, but I’m going to change that very soon. In the meantime, we have some words of wisdom from the great mind of 3 Stacks, courtesy of Esquire Magazine. In the September issue, they asked André to share 27 things he’s learned about life so far, and he had some good ones on there—including thoughts on veganism and Prince. Click inside for more!

I didn’t plan on doing anything fun last night other than packing but because the realtor that represents the condo I live in needed to show my place to potential new tenants, I decided not to be here when the showing took place. When I moved last, I had to deal with quite a few showing appointments where I was home working while potential tenants looked around my home on a realtor tour. I get that it’s necessary but it’s weird, awkward and can be uncomfortable. I got some work done yesterday afternoon with help from Emma, so I decided to meet up with my friend Jesse for a drink hang … wanna guess where we decided to meet? More »

Selena Gomez went too far with her birthday celebration this year. I’m happy for her or whatever, but I really feel like she’s trying to rub her lifestyle in my face right now. Please click inside to see the biggest, chocolatiest cake ever. I’m sooo hungry…

"Push Xtina Push!"
On Saturday night, Christina Aguilera celebrated the forthcoming arrival of her second child, which we learned back in March will be a girl, at a baby shower thrown for her by her friends. Today we get to check out the awesomely insane cake that Xtina‘s friends presented her with at the shower which, I might add, isn’t really for the faint of heart. Xtina‘s baby shower cake depicted the moment when her new baby will spring forth from her open vagina which sounds like an AWESOME thing to want to eat, don’t it? I mean, even if you think you don’t want to see what this cake looks like … you know you deffo want to see what this cake looks like. Behold. More »

Last night I met up with my friend Ollie for a quick hang session that turned into an all-night affair. Even tho I got to spend some time with Ollie at her birthday party a couple of weekends ago, I haven’t had the opportunity to hang out with her one-on-one for some time … we were way overdue. She suggested that we visit our fave place in Koreatown Toe Bang and I was ALL for a night of supping on kimchee pancakes, cheese corn and multi-flavored soju. We ate, we laughed, we had the best time ever … as usual. More »

And so, I am back home in LA after my lovely week-long visit to Michigan last week. As always, my time back home was so great but it really flew by this time. I had gotten really used to just chillin’ with Sarah and Mark and then, BAM, it was time for me to return home. I did consider staying a bit longer but I have a lot of stuff to get done here in LA than, blah, I just came last night as scheduled. My last day in Detroit was fun, mostly because I got to squeeze in a bit of extra hang time with Sarah and Mark … oh, and I got to enjoy lunch at Olga’s so, yeah, it was a pretty great day. More »
