Her boo Patrick Schwarzenegger picked it out...
The last time I checked up on Miley Cyrus, she was… wait. Yeah, no. I still have no words for what she was doing, but I’m pretty sure I was against it. Similarly, I find myself morally opposed to her comforter and matching onesie. Then again, I was just on Bed, Bath and Beyond getting myself a Happy 2015 You Need A New Friggen Comforter gift, and I realized that my tastes have certainly shifted over the years. Now, I love pizza as much as/more than anyone else, but Miley—you’ve gone too far (once again). Click inside for more!
The Reason for the Season
For many years here (HERE and HERE) on the blog, going back to 2008 (and even earlier), I’ve posted photos of various celebs giving of their time on the holidays so that they can help serve meals to those in need at the Los Angeles Mission. For various reasons, I didn’t post photos last year or the year before and even tho we’re on the other side of Xmas this year, I don’t want to let another year go by without posting these photos. I’m sure the cynic in some of you may discount this endeavor as a PR photo op but I can assure you, many (if not all) of the celebs who donated their time at the LA Mission this year have been doing so for years. I think it’s really a great thing that these folks give of their time so that others can enjoy a holiday meal, something that we may take for granted. Kate Linder, the actress from The Young and the Restless, has served meals at the LA Mission for at least the last 8 years (as long as I’ve lived in LA) and I’m sure she will return year after year. If anything, I hope these photos can brighten your day and maybe inspire you to give of your time as well.

My Xmas Day yesterday was a very fun-filled one. I spent the early party of the day on a hike with friends, then met up with a bunch of Jews for brunch … then I made my way into the Valley to spend some time with two pairs of friends and then I made my way to Santa Monica for a lovely Xmas dinner. Tamar and I planned on spending Xmas together so that she could share her Jewish Xmas with me … but instead of Chinese food and a movie, we amended the schedule a bit. It was way too much fun and I had an absolute blast. More »
But Chrissy says she's done getting into social issues on Twitter
It’s been so incredible watching protestors take to the streets all over the world demanding justice in the name of Eric Garner, Mike Brown, and the countless other victims of police killings in America. Some celebrities have taken to social media to voice their support, and I also really appreciate this new story coming out about John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. The husband and wife decided to quietly do their part by hiring food trucks that came and fed protestors at NYC protests. Click inside for more.

Last night my good friend Tammy invited me to attend the Warner Bros. holiday party at Good Times and Davey Wayne’s last night and I happily attended. It had been some time since I last saw Tammy so I was really more excited to see her than anything else … tho, the promise of alcoholic snow cones did have its own appeal. Davey Wayne’s is a really fun ’70s themed bar so I knew the part was going to be really fun. I got to hang out with my friend and I got to get slushed on snow cones so, yeah, it was a pretty fun night. More »

Last night my BFF Adriana came over to see my new place and hang out for a bit before we made our way to a sushi bar nearby. She and I had been texting all day about our NEED for a sushi dinner so our plans to see a movie fell by the wayside after we started stuffing our faces. Aide came by my place for a quick tour beforehand and then it was sushi time! Wee!! More »

Today is the day that my dad is scheduled to be released from the hospital but until he’s home in his own bed, I can’t really relax. My mom and I went to visit him yesterday before his last night in the joint and he was in high spirits, looking back to his old self. I have a flight out to LA this afternoon much earlier in the day than I like but because of the last minute nature of my flight reservation, it was the latest flight in the day that I could get. BUT, I’m hoping that dad will be released early enough that I can drive him home before I have to leave for the hospital. More »
'Michael Jackson was great. But Prince...'
I’m not sure why/how we haven’t had an André 3000/Outkast Throwback Thursday, but I’m going to change that very soon. In the meantime, we have some words of wisdom from the great mind of 3 Stacks, courtesy of Esquire Magazine. In the September issue, they asked André to share 27 things he’s learned about life so far, and he had some good ones on there—including thoughts on veganism and Prince. Click inside for more!
