Starlight, Star Bright

The TV Guide

Last night, I met up with my friend Tamar for a night hike in Griffith Park so that we could pay a visit to the observatory to see a celestial event. The planets Venus and Jupiter aligned last night to look like a “twin star”, which is a feat that happens very rarely. We hiked up to the observatory at dusk so that we could see the planets as night set. After we spent some time admiring the view, I made my way home … where I was met with a surprise visit from my friend Jessie … who brought me a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup donut, right to my doorstep. Needless to say, I had a very nice night. More »

Into Everyone’s Life A Little Sprinkles Must Fall

The TV Guide

I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately so Eileen helped get me out of the house last night with the promise of cheese fries, donuts and cupcakes. I know, it’s terrible … TERRIBLE … but I can never resist and we did have a nice night out. Eileen came over and we made our way to Burbank and then ended up in Glendale at the Sprinkles Cupcakes ATM for a late night sugar fix and, well that was my night. Haha. Hanging out with Eileen did cheer me up a lot so it was all well worth the effort … and massive empty calories. More »

Travel Plans With Eileen

The TV Guide

Last night I finally got out of the house to hang out with Eileen. She and I had been talking about getting drinks so I picked her up at her place and she decided we should check out a new cocktail lounge in West Hollywood called Now Boarding. The bar is themed around air travel and it looks like you’re in an airport lounge. Like most bars in WeHo, the drinks were a bit pricey … but they were delicious. Eileen and I had a couple drinks each and a really great night overall. More »

Patched In, Pigged Out

The TV Guide

Yesterday was a pretty great Sunday Funday. The early part of the day was spent at Disneyland with my Sons of Anakin peeps, where we voted and patched in our friend Alex as our newest member. After a fun afternoon of play in the park (and another ride on The Haunted Mansion to get another look at the Hatbox Ghost), we decided to have dinner offsite at the INFINITELY amazing Korean BBQ place Mr. BBQ. Lorde have mercy, we ate and ate and ate and ate … and ate some more. We weren’t satisfied until the night ended in meat sweats. It was divine. More »

Coffee & Chayze Froys

The TV Guide

Yesterday was a very nice, very relaxing day for me. I spent the early part of my day having coffee with my friend Caleb and then I spent part of my night having dinner with my friend Eileen. Caleb and I got together for one of our chats and we ended up hanging out at the Bru Coffeebar in Los Feliz for over 4 hours. If there was a subject worth discussing, we discussed it :D After I ran an errand in Glendale, I met up with Eileen in Burbank for dinner at Outback Steakhouse — by her suggestion! I mean, I know I loved Eileen before yesterday but when she suggested we get cheese fries at Outback, I knew my love for her was strong, true and eternal. More »

Maybe Chrissy Teigen Lost A Bet At The White House Correspondents’ Dinner

"This is habanero pepper juice...."

Last week we were talking about body positivism and I brought up Chrissy Teigen‘s ability to look fabulous, according to modern beauty standards—even when she’s showing off her bruises and stretch marks. Today, I’m reminded that the model continues to look like a model, seemingly at all times, even when she appears to be on the losing end of a bet, and drinking habanero pepper juice. Incredible. Chill Easter Was So Chill

The TV Guide

Altho I usually spend my Sundays at Disneyland, everyone in my group decided to take the day off for Easter so I decided to follow suit. I ended up staying home for the entire day, lounging on the couch watching cartoons. It was very sweet. Then, last night, I met up with Tamar and her friends Jennie and Andrea and we made our way to Jeremy’s place for a little housewarming party. Jeremy has a new puppy and a new place, so a party was required. Chill day, chill night … chill Easter was so great. More »

Friday Night With Babes

The TV Guide

Yesterday was a really fun day for me, as per usual. I got to spend a bit more time hanging out with my friend Angie before she had to fly back to Boston last night. Then, I got to hang out properly with Tamar and her friends in Venice to close out the night. Angie and I were able to grab dinner and dessert before I dropped her off at the airport. Then I met up with Tam and we met up with a group of her friends to celebrate her friend Peter’s birthday. Great people, great day. More »

You Guys, I Went To The World’s Oldest McDonald’s And It Was Awesome

The TV Guide

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Jessika inadvertently introduced me to the world’s oldest McDonald’s that is still in operation and yesterday — after much delay — I finally got to pay a visit. When I first laid on this hallowed place, it was night and it was all lit up … and it looked nothing like any McDonald’s I’ve ever seen in my life. Back home in Michigan, I lived near a “’50s McDonald’s” that was a new store renovated to look like a McD’s from the ’50s (kinda like the Cafe ’80s in Back to the Future II). This one is a genuinely vintage McD’s so I knew I had to visit. Jessika suggested we check it out and that’s what we did yesterday. More »
