Here it is y’all. So, Kanye West teamed up with McCartney a while back and released his track Only One. The McCartney collaborations continue, with this new song we sort of heard about the other day. Kanye West debuted this track at the iHeartMedia Music Summit, but we had no idea Sir Paul McCartney was the musician behind the acoustic guitar. You can go HERE to listen to the track, and click inside for more!

"This is my heartbeat song and I'm gonna play it"
A few days ago, Kelly Clarkson employed the aid of her baby daughter River Rose to help her tease the release of her new single Heartbeat Song. Today, Kelly has FINALLY unleashed the song upon the world for our listening pleasure … and quite unsurprisingly, the song is a smash pop hit. Kelly has an uncanny ability to write catchy, upbeat songs that you want to bop along to — not just dance, but bop bop bop. Kelly Clarkson is back! Thank the gods! Have a listen, have a little bop and enjoy.
Click below to read the lyrics in case you want to sing along as you bop to the beat. More »
You've heard this song before
Marilyn Manson continues to promote the forthcoming release of his new album The Pale Emperor with the release of a song titled Cupid Carries A Gun. This song, tho, isn’t necessarily new as it is used as the theme song for the WGN series Salem (you may recall we got our first listen of the song as the Salem theme song back in April of last year). This is the first time we get to hear the song in full as it will appear on MM‘s new album so click the embed above and check it out. The Pale Emperor is out on January 20.
"Hey River, what are you listening to?"
Kelly Clarkson has been teasing the forthcoming release of her new single on Twitter for the past week or so and even though her new single won’t feature a guest performance by Dr. Dre (THAT I KNOW OF), we do know that it will be titled Heartbeat Song. Just a few minutes ago, Kelly posted a video on her official Twitter profile that gives us our first listen of Heartbeat Song. As you can see below, Kelly is using her adorable daughter River Rose to help promote the release of the song … which means you MUST have a look/listen immediately. More »
"You're the cure"
Ellie Goulding has released a new song titled Love Me Like You Do which will be featured on the original motion picture soundtrack for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. As you can hear above, Love Me is a very anthemic and catchy song … and is a good sign that even tho the movie may not live up to expectations, the film’s soundtrack may end up being the best thing about the Fifty Shades movie release. Have a listen of Ellie‘s new song and see if it puts you in the mood for a little Fifty Shades of Grey action.
'Kansas City Choir Boy' opens on Thursday
Courtney Love will make her musical theater debut this Thursday night when the new opera Kansas City Choir Boy opens in NYC. Yes, you read that right … Courtney Love is starring in an opera. In this new show, Love will play a “[teenage character named Athena] who leaves her boyfriend in Kansas City to pursue fame and success in New York. Problems arise when he tries to follow her and discovers that Love has already been wooed by the thrill and vices of the city”. Well, OK, then. Courtney Love and the show’s composer Todd Almond (with Eric Allen on cello) perform the song All I Ever Wanted from the show in a showcase performance for The New York Times, which you can watch in full above. I must admit, I don’t really know much about opera but this performance doesn’t sound very operatic to me. Nor does it sound particularly good but, hey, that’s just my opinion. Have a listen above and see what you think of C. Love as an opera singer. Kansas City Choir Boy will run from January 8-17 but all performances are already sold out. That said, if the show is a hit, I’m certain more performances will be added. Have a listen and then please let me know … are you a fan of Courtney Love: Opera singer?
Gwen Stefani and Pharrell, who have been collaborating a lot lately on new music together for her new album, have teamed up again for an original song that will be featured in the upcoming US release of the live-action/computer-animated film adaptation Paddington (based on the beloved children’s book series Paddington Bear). Shine was not included in the movie when it was released in the UK back in November but it will be featured in the movie when it is released here in the US on January 16. Click the embed above to hear a leaked version of the song, which doesn’t offer the greatest sound quality. To be completely honest, I’m fairly underwhelmed by this song … as well as the other Gwen/Pharrell collabs that we’ve been hearing so far. Have a listen and see what you think. Do you think Gwen and Pharrell have a hit on their hands with Shine?
Happy New Yeezus
Without much fanfare or hoopla, Kanye West dropped a new song last night just before the US welcomed the arrival of 2015. The song is titled Only One and it is a collaborative track that Yeezy wrote with Paul McCartney (who plays the keyboard on the track). The song, which you can listen to in full above, is a fairly autotuned lullaby/ballad that sounds much different from the music that Kanye released on his last album Yeezus. With the release of this song (HERE on iTunes), Kanye appears to be signaling to the world that he is about to unleash his next era of music on us. Happy New Year, indeed. Have a listen, see what you think.
