OMG, Yes: Jay-Z, André 3000, Lana Del Rey, Florence + The Machine, And Practically Everyone Else Is On The ‘Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack

Plus Beyoncé & André 3000 Cover Amy Winehouse's 'Back To Black'

Apparently, the people responsible for this year’s The Great Gatsby want me, um, orgasming my way all the way to the movie theatre on May 10. I cannot deal with the tracklist for this movie’s soundtrack! It’s like when the Belly soundtrack dropped, and I was, like, 15 and somebody had finally figured out a way to get DMX and Sean Paul and D’Angelo and Jay-Z and Method Man and Mya all on one CD. Except now I’m grown, and I’m freaking the freak out because Jay-Z, André 3000, Beyoncé, Florence + The Machine, Gotye, Emeli Sandé, Lana Del Rey and hella other folks are on what may be the greatest soundtrack in the history of soundtracks (brought to us by the one and only Shawn Carter), lol! Agh! Oh, and Bey and 3-Stacks are covering Amy Winehouse‘s Back To Black. It’s not a big deal. Click inside to see the full tracklist and to watch a new trailer featuring all this insane new music!

First Listen: Janelle Monáe’s Single ‘Tightrope’ Gets A Dope Oliver Nelson Remix

French Funk + Big Boi = Awesomeness

Good remixes make life happy y’all. I’ll admit I’m not on the Janelle Monáe train as hard as a lot of people, but I can’t deny that I dig her style. Tightrope was the lead single off her last album The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III), and the Bad Boy artist enlisted the help of Outkast‘s Big Boi for the single. Now Swedish producer Oliver Nelson has put some french funk on it, and I’m loving the remix. Click inside to take your first listen!
