"We're just so pretty"
It’s here! Ahead of its official release on Monday, Britney Spears‘s new single Pretty Girls (with Iggy Azalea) has made its way online for our listening pleasure and I am THRILLED to hear that it is a great pop song … destined to be the song of the summer. Because I’m not a big Iggy fan (at all), I was worried that her influence and inclusion on the song would hurt the track but, thankfully, she’s not too much of a hinderance. The song is catchy and the chorus is absolutely infectious. Click below to hear Pretty Girls and get your first taste of the song of Summer 2015. More »
Back to the '90s
Over the weekend, we got to see the cover art for Mariah Carey‘s new single Infinity, the only new song included on her upcoming greatest hits album #1 to Infinity. At the stroke of midnight last night, Mimi released Infinity for download on iTunes and made the song available for listening online with the release of the lyric video embedded above. As you can see and hear, this song appears to be TOTALLY about her soon-to-be ex-husband Nick Cannon … and how he lost the greatest thing he ever had when he messed up his marriage with Mariah. The song is really, really good. It has a distinctly ’90s sound to it, which is where Mariah Carey is strongest. This song has a very good shot at becoming Mimi‘s next #1 song. Have a listen, see what you think.

Featuring Brian Aubert of Silversun Pickups
Last month we learned the GREAT news that Garbage is, once again, releasing a new single in celebration of Record Store Day (which is this Saturday) and today we get to HEAR the song for the first time and SEE the music video for the track. Directed by longtime Garbage music video collaborator Sophie Muller, The Chemicals is the first of two new songs included on the 10″ vinyl single that will be released on RSD this weekend. The song features guest vocals by Brian Aubert of Silversun Pickups but longtime Garbage fans will hear immediately that this is 100% a Garbage song. I am really looking forward to picking up this vinyl when it is released on Saturday. Please enjoy.

Tiny is better than nothing at all ;)
Earlier today we saw a pair of behind the scenes photos shared by Britney Spears from the set of the music video for her new single with Iggy Azalea, Pretty Girls. Right now we get our FIRST LISTEN of the song by way of a fan shot video from the music video set. Britney and Iggy are filming Pretty Girls right now here in LA and an industrious fan with a mobile phone managed to film a tiny portion of the shoot … which includes a tiny sample of the song. It’s not much to listen to, unfortch, but it’s better than nothing. Watch the clip above AND DON’T BLINK. Then, click below to see a photo shot by a fan of Britney and Iggy tooling around in their Jeep on the streets of LA today. More »
Truly, this is the best thing ever
First, Carly Rae Jepsen got mashed-up with Nine Inch Nails back in 2013 … and today we learn that CRJ and NIN have been mashed-up again — and this one, by far, is the better of the two. An artist named YITT has mashed-up Jepsen‘s I Really Like You with Nine Inch Nails‘s Head Like a Hole to create the duet of your DREAMS! OMG. This mash-up is so flawless in its perfection that I could damn near cry at its beauty. Click the embed above to have a listen and see what you think. I have a feeling you’re gonna really, really, really, really like this as much as I love it.
