Earlier this month, Disney released a teaser trailer for their upcoming live action film Maleficent and last night during the Grammy Awards, they released another new trailer for the film. In addition to featuring a lot of new film footage, this new trailer also features Lana Del Rey‘s cover of the classic song Once Upon a Dream from the Disney animated feature Sleeping Beauty. As you can hear in the video embedded above, LDR‘s version of Once Upon a Dream is pretty damn creepy. The song will be released on the soundtrack to Maleficent but you can download the song right now for FREE HERE for a limited time only. This is the stuff nightmares are made of, please enjoy accordingly.
Late last month we learned that Jennifer Lopez made her way to her hometown neighborhood in the Bronx, NY to film a music video for a new song titled Same Girl, which will be featured on her as-yet untitled new album due out later this year. While we wait for the release of Same Girl, we get to feast our ears on another new J. Lo track titled Girls that has made its way to the Internets. Girls was produced by DJ Mustard and as you can hear, it sounds a lot more R&B funky than her more recent high energy EDM song releases. As you may know, it’s believed that Lopez‘s new album will sound more like her earlier albums with that urban sound that made her a huge popstar in the early 00s. Take a listen to Girls above and see what you think. While I am more fond of upbeat songs, I am really excited that J. Lo is going back to her R&B/pop roots for her new album.

Back in September, songstress Charli XCX released a music video for her new song SuperLove and at the time, we learned that she was hard at work on the release of her next album. Today we get to hear, in full, a new Charli track titled Allergic to Love that may or may not be on her new album … reportedly due out this year. Charli has been excitedly talking about the new music she’s been making on her social media accounts so I’m not surprised that she wanted to share the goods with her fans. "It might look insane / But it’s hard to walk in my shoes"
Back in August of last year we first heard that former Making The Band girl group Danity Kane were officially back together and planning a return to the music scene (er, sans one member … D. Woods unceremoniously got the axe). Since that time, the ladies performed a reunion/comeback concert at the House of Blues here in Los Angeles, CA and were met with an audience full of appreciative fans. Today we get our FIRST LISTEN of the group’s just released comeback single titled Bye Baby. As you can hear below, the song has a bit of a 70s/Disco sound that works well with their collective voices. Have a listen, won’t you? More »

BUT, it won't be her next official single
Our dear Britney Spears is ready to infuse the danceclubs with a few new remixes of one of the songs off her new album Britney Jean and I, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled. When Britney dropped her single Work Bitch! she didn’t need any stinkin’ remixed for the song to overtake danceclubs around the world but this time around, she is letting a few remixers work their magic on her song with will.i.am It Should Be Easy in order to transform the track into a club banger. BUT, altho It Should Be Easy is getting released as a remix package, it has not been selected as Britney‘s third single. Click below to learn more about these exciting new Britney remixes. More »
A new version of Britney Spears‘s single Perfume has made its way to the Internets and it may be the most definitive version of the track yet. Previously we’ve heard the album version and a “more stripped down” version of the song included on Britney‘s album as a bonus track. Right now, we get to hear an acoustic version of the song that features Britney and the song’s writer Sia sharing vocals on the track. Britney‘s voice sounds most powerful in this version. Her vocal strength is highlighted as it is contrasted with Sia‘s vocals near the end of the song. I really love this version of the song, I think you may like it, too. Click the embed above to give it a listen and see what you think.
Early last week Shakira announced that she would be releasing a new single that features guest vocals by none other than Rihanna. A few days later, she hit us with the sexy cover art for the single Can’t Remember to Forget You. Today we get to hear the song in full. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this collaboration but the song sounds pretty much what you think a pop song from Shakira and Rihanna would sound like. It’s an upbeat and poppy number with a little Caribbean flare. Click the embed above to give it a listen then let me know what you think in the comments below. Does this sound like a hit song to you?
