"Thought we belonged together ..."
Back in September we learned that newcomer Ariana Grande began work on a holiday album and today we get our first listen of the first bit of new music from that project. Ariana has covered the 1984 classic Wham! Xmas song Last Christmas for her new album and you can hear the song in full below. TRUST ME, I am SO not ready for Xmas to come just yet but we have to admit that it’s coming — fast and furious, whether we like it or not. I guess we might as well brace ourselves as best we can. Ariana sings the hell out of this song, click below and hear for yourselves. More »
PLUS, 'Perfume (The Dreaming Mix)' leaks to the Internets
Earlier this month, our dear Britney Spears released the ballad Perfume as the second single from her upcoming new album Britney Jean and today we get to see the just-released lyric video for the track. According to Britney herself, she is currently filming the music video for Perfume and to tide us over the lyric video for the song has been released. Late last night, the stripped down alternate version of Perfume (The Dreaming Mix) leaked its way to the Internets. Having heard the more stripped down Dreaming Mix of Perfume I have to admit, I really like the less produced, more raw version of the song. Check out the lyric video above and hang on tight, Britney will be comin’ at us with the official music video for the song soon (I hope)! Click below to hear Perfume (The Dreaming Mix) More »
"I’m not alone"
With mere WEEKS to go before the release of Britney Spears‘s new album Britney Jean, fans are getting more and more anxious to hear new music from the album. Today fans get to enjoy their first listen of Britney‘s new song Alien, which leaked online early this morning. Alien, as you may be aware, is produced by William Orbit and if you click below, you can hear the song for yourselves. I’ve already listened to the song a few times, I think fans are going to love it. More »

Back in September we got our first listen of Christina Aguilera‘s new song We Remain as featured on the upcoming soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (a song that, IMHO, works very well for the film). Today we get to hear a portion of Lorde‘s contribution to the Catching Fire soundtrack. A 90-second clip of Lorde‘s cover of Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears has been released and as you can hear below, her take on the song is quite a departure from the original version of the song (which was a HUGE hit in the 80′s). "You're just trifling"
Late last month, Mariah Carey gave us our first look at the cover art for her new album title single The Art of Letting Go. Today we get to hear the song in full. Letting Go was supposed to come out over the summer but, if anything, the delay has made this moment all the sweeter. Mimi‘s new song is a midtempo track that hearkens back to the pop music sound that made her a megastar back in the 90′s. Click the embed above and get your FIRST LISTEN of Mariah Carey‘s new song The Art of Letting Go.
UPDATE: Altho MC posted the song on her official You Tube channel, the video has been made “private” so that it could be debuted on her Facebook profile. Until the embed above stars working again, you can hear the song here:
Have A Listen!
A couple of years ago, our dear Britney Spears did Rihanna a solid by appearing on a remix of her song S&M. It looks like Ri Ri is returning the favor because a snippet of a NEW remix of Work Bitch has hit the Internets that is attributed to Rihanna on vocals. Supposedly titled Work Bitch (Twerk Remix), this short snippet from the song reminds us how hot it can been when Britney and Rihanna work on a collab together. Click below, have a listen … see what you think. More »
"I gotta mark my territory"
Britney Spears released the audio of her new single Perfume, the second from her upcoming new album Britney Jean (due out on December 3), which is now available for our listening pleasure. I have to be honest, the first time I listened to the song the whole way thru I did so with my mouth wide open. It’s such a different sound for Britney. The song is definitely one of her strongest overall, in very many ways. I will need to listen to this song a few more times to fully process everything it entails … but what do you think? Are you impressed with Perfume? Does the song live up to all of the positive talk we’ve been hearing in the past few weeks?

Eminem has been releasing a slew of new songs from his upcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Most recently we heard his collaboration with Rihanna (Monster), and today another collab has been leaked from his collection. Of course I’m psyched because it’s featuring my dude Kendrick Lamar, who actually popped up in Eminem‘s video for his first single Berzerk, so it looks like these two have been having a good time working together. Kendrick is busy sharing his amazingness with the world on the Yeezus tour, and we’ll see Eminem this weekend on Saturday Night Live. For now, let’s listen to the new jam!
A Film by Beyoncé Knowles
Earlier this year, Beyoncé debuted her documentary film Life is But a Dream on HBO and today we learn that the film is going to be released on DVD next month. To promote the DVD release, a video trailer has been released that features a portion of a new song titled God Made You Beautiful. As I understand it, this song is exclusive to this release and is only available to folks who purchase the DVD. Check out the embed above to hear a portion of God Made You Beautiful and be reminded of just how entertaining Bey‘s documentary film still is. Are you planning to pick up a DVD copy of Life is But a Dream?
"You think I'm crazy"
This month alone, Eminem has released the new songs Survival and Rap God from his upcoming new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 and last month, he dropped another new song titled Berzerk. Today, we get to hear the 4th new song off his new album, a collaboration he did with Rihanna titled The Monster. Of the new songs released thus far, The Monster sounds the most radio-friendly to me (much in the same way that Em and Ri Ri‘s earlier collab Love the Way You Lie sounded) and may be the biggest hit of the new music Em has released thus far. Click the embed above to hear The Monster in full and see what you think. It’s a shame this song didn’t come out over the summer because it’s a track that I can see pouring out of open windows as cars drive by. I’m loving this track, are you?
