First Look: Mariah Carey Releases A Teaser For Her New Song With Miguel, Titled ‘Beautiful’

Ohhh Shizz! Get Psyched!
Mimi + Miguel = Beautiful

I’m not sure… but I think Mariah Carey is about to do the damn thing. For the past few weeks she’s been sharing photos of herself in the studio and teasing about new music. What she didn’t tell us was that she had enlisted friggen Miguel for her first new single, called Beautiful. Ummm, I need to hear this song yesterday! Mimi and Miguel?! I just can’t imagine a universe where this song is not all kinds of sexy. Mariah took to Twitter to share a teaser for Beautiful, and that guitar is sounding hawt! Also, Joseph Kahn (who directed her video with Cam’rony’all know I love that one–and her video for The One) directed the teaser. It looks like we can expect the official release on May 6. Are you psyched?

Watch: Beyoncé Debuts A New Song In Her Mrs. Carter ‘H&M’ Ad

'Standing On The Sun'
Beyoncé As Mrs. Carter For H&M

You know what I tell myself when I see Beyoncé in a bikini? I tell myself, ‘Self, if you got a campaign with H&M and they were giving you jabillions of dollars, you’d do be sure to have abs like that too.‘ And then I finish my bowl of Froot Loops and continue to enjoy my life (and my body) as I know it. So there… lol. We all know Beyoncé is the new face of H&M and her promo pics for their summer line have been pretty, insanely hawt. She just dropped a video ad and in it she debuts a new song titled Standing On The Sun; it sounds like a hit, y’all. Peep the video for more!

Shouts-out to PITNBr Iris B for sending this my way!

First Listen: Janelle Monáe Enlists Erykah Badu For Her New Single, ‘Q.U.E.E.N.’

Dopeness

A little while back we heard a sweet little remix to a slightly throwback Janelle Monáe track, and I’ve since been waiting for a new jam. Although the Cover Girl has a strong fan base, I haven’t really, really gotten into her stuff but I’m definitely interested in the movement. Earlier this week Janelle released the single Q.U.E.E.N., and the Queen herself, Erykah Badu, is featured on the track. I’ve professed my lurve for Erykah before, so y’all know I was losing it when I saw this dropped. Click inside for your first listen!

First Listen: A Snippet Of Beyoncé And André 3000′s ‘Back To Black’ Cover Gets Released

3 Stacks Saves All

A little while back we got our first taste of The Great Gatsby soundtrack, and it was kind of a big deal. Baz Luhrmann‘s highly anticipated adaptation is coming with some brilliant music from some amazing artists. The other day we got to hear Florence + The Machine‘s Over The Love, which is on the soundtrack, and now we get a snippet of the cover everyone’s been waiting to hear. Beyoncé and André 3000 covered Amy Winehouse‘s Back To Black, and although everyone might not be into it (including Amy Winehouse‘s father… who thought Beyoncé should have paid to cover the song), I was excited to hear what they’d done with the original track. First Listen: Daft Punk Releases Their New Single ‘Get Lucky’

The Real Song, For Real
"I'm up all night to get lucky"

Last weekend Daft Punk teased audio and the music video for their new single Get Lucky, the first from their new album Random Access Memories. Today, after the illegitimate release of many fake versions of the track, Daft Punk officially releases the actual audio of the song. Get Lucky features Pharrell on vocals and can be heard in full above. If this is a sign of what’s to come on Random Access Memories then I think Daft Punk are going to do VERY WELL with this new album. I LOVE this track, can’t wait to hear more!! Random Access Memories will be released on May 21.

First Look: Lana Del Rey Releases A Music Video With Her Boyfriend For ‘Summer Wine’

This Time She's Covering Nancy Sinatra
LDR And Her BF Get Romantical

A little while back Lana Del Rey offered up visuals for her cover of Leonard Cohen‘s Chelsea Hotel No. 2. It seems like she’s in the mood to relive and re-lurve some of her favorite songs because she’s just released a video for Summer Wine, her cover of the Nancy Sinatra song. It’s LDR, so you know she’s going for the retro look in the video. We’ve definitely seen it from her before, but this is a nice little hold-over… until we get to hear that new track from The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Plus her real-life boyfriend, Barrie-James O’Neill (singer for Scottish band Kassidy), is all up in this too. Peep the video for more! I love this song, but I really love the little shouts-out to Billie Holiday at the end. I’m wondering if that’s a hint at LDR‘s next cover!

First Listen: Florence + The Machine Release ‘Over The Love,’ From ‘The Great Gatsby’ Soundtrack

Epic.

Earlier today I confessed that Drake‘s new song was on repeat, and I’m happy to say I now have two songs that I’ll be blasting all day. Right about now, everybody’s got Baz Luhrmann on the brain. Trent‘s been enjoying some of his old movies, and I’ve been mentally and emotionally preparing for the release of The Great Gatsby as well. One aspect of the film that I’m crazy-excited about is the music. Jay-Z produced the soundtrack and we got to hear snippets of some of the amazing songs when a new trailer dropped a while back. Today we get the full version of one of the songs I was most excited to hear– Florence + The Machine‘s Over The Love. Click inside for your first listen!

First Listen: Drake’s New Song ‘Girls Love Beyoncé’ Is Pretty Awesome

Featuring James Fauntleroy... But Seriously. Can't Stop Listening.

Well. This is awkward. The last time I put a Drake song on repeat had to be when HYFR came out, and I had just signed off on the paperwork to become a full-time writer for PITNB. LMAO, OMG… but those were special circumstances! I’m not… really… a Drake fan… am I??? When he first came out I vowed to never, fully take him seriously as a rapper/singer/anything that wasn’t my beloved Jimmy on Degrassi. But something’s changed in me y’all. He is dropping these new songs all over the place and… I really like them. 5 AM In Toronto was my jam, even Started From The Bottom grew on me a bit.. and now there’s this new jam! Girls Love Beyoncé (featuring James Fauntleroy) is currently on repeat and there’s nothing anyone can do about it, lol! The song dropped a couple of days ago, but click inside for your first listen if you missed it (or your thousandth listen if you loved it).

First Listen: Missy Elliot And Kelly Rowland Jump On Fantasia’s New Song, ‘Without Me’

'What Would You Be Without Me?'

Okay, so last time I checked I was not a huge Fantasia fan or anything. However. When I saw that Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliot were featured on her new track, Without Me, you know I had to checkie out. The 2004 American Idol winner has a new album (Side Effects) coming out later this month, and apparently she’s been putting in some serious werk on the music. Which is a good thing. I feel like she’s been caught up in so much drama over the years, I kinda forgot she made actual music. So this is good. Oh, and the song is kind of awesome! Click inide for more!
