Last week we got our first look at actress Yaya DaCosta in character as Whitney Houston as she will appear in the upcoming Lifetime made-for-TV biopic film about her life. Today we learn that Yaya will NOT be heard singing Whitney‘s iconic songs in the film … singer Deborah Cox will have the honor of providing Whitney‘s singing voice in the movie. This week, Cox recorded her version of the song I Will Always Love You (which Whitney recorded for The Bodyguard soundtrack back in the early 90s). Click the embed above to hear a portion of Deborah‘s version of I Will Always Love You and see what you think. Is Deborah‘s version of the song good enough to represent Whitney‘s version of the song? Back in April we learned that boybanders Nick Carter (of Backstreet Boys) and Jordan Knight (of New Kids on the Block) were teaming up to create a new music duo called Nick & Knight with a forthcoming album and tour to come later in the year. Today we get our first listen of the debut single One More Time by Nick & Knight and, I gotta say, the track isn’t all that bad. In all honesty, I can’t say that I was all that interested in hearing music by Nick and Jordan primarily because I didn’t believe that their new music would be able to surpass the fun pop music they’ve already released with their respective boy bands BSB and NKOTB. But, after a couple of listens, I’m really enjoying this new single. The chorus is really catchy and I’m telling you, you’ll be singing along with the Woo Oohs by the song’s end. Have a listen above, see what you think. Are you a fan of Nick & Knight?

Last week Paris Hilton released the cover art for her surprise NEW single (one of two new singles, actually) titled Come Alive just a week or so after she announced to the world that she was in production of a music video for the song (both songs, actually). Today we get our first listen of Come Alive. Paris quietly released the song at around midnight on iTunes and, to be 100% completely honest, it’s a pretty good song. Now, I say “pretty good” in terms that it’s a Paris Hilton song but still … good is good. Click below to hear Come Alive and see what you think of Paris‘s return to the music world (again). More »
Morrissey broke the hearts of his fans AGAIN by canceling his US tour about midway thru last month but, undaunted, he is readying the release of his new album World Peace is None of Your Business … which is due out next week. But today, we get to stream the album in full before the album becomes available for purchase. I realize that Moz has pissed off many of his fans but the diehards (and still curious) are going to want to hear this album as soon as possible … and now’s your chance. More »

Listen to her new single 'Run-Time' NOW!
Imogen Heap, who I love SO MUCH, is readying the release of a new album titled Sparks and I am FREAKING out with excited anticipation. I fell in love with Imogen when she toured with Rufus Waiwright on his first US tour way back in the late 90s. Rufus was great on that tour but my first boyfriend and I became obsessed with Imogen. Her debut album didn’t do much here in the US so she released her next album under the moniker Frou Frou and found the success she deserved. I’ve been hearing crazy things about the creation of her new album Sparks, things confirmed by the press release that is posted below. Click below to see the cover for Sparks, learn more about the album and listen to her new song Run-Time in full. More »

Last week we saw the tracklisting for Robin Thicke‘s new album Paula which is full of songs that are meant to try and woo back his estranged wife Paula Patton. You may recall that one of those songs is titled Lock The Door. Today, we get our first listen of that song. A minute and a half preview of Lock The Door is featured below for your listening pleasure. If the songs on Robin‘s album are meant to be a message to Paula, then in this instance it would be wise for her to listen to him … and lock her damn doors. More »
