Tell-all book hits shelves next week
Madonna’s Brother Sells Her Out

As rumors about the dissolution of Madonna‘s marriage to hubby Guy Ritchie are just beginning to die down a bit and as reports of the very public split between Alex Rodriguez (of the New York Yankees) and his wife Cynthia begin to heat up (Cynthia‘s lawyer claims that Madonna was “the final straw” leading to their divorce), new deets from the tell-all book from Maddy‘s estranged brother Christopher Ciconne are starting to come out just days before the book, Life with my Sister Madonna, hits bookshelves on July 15. Early indications are that the book will make very bold claims about personal aspects of Madonna‘s private life including alleged marriage woes, drug use and sexual experiences. Something tells me that Christopher Ciconne is really lobbying for Brother of the Year this year. Here is the cover of Christopher‘s new book and some deets from within its pages:

Madonna’s rocky marriage to Guy Ritchie has survived because of rabbi Yehuda Berg who served as a mediator during their seven-year union, the singer’s brother Christopher Ciccone reveals in his unauthorized biography Life With My Sister Madonna. The book comes out July 15, as reports continue to grow about the singer’s close relationship to Yankees player Alex Rodriguez. According to Ciccone, a major issue in Madonna’s marriage to Ritchie, 39, has been been her desire to live in New York City. Ritchie feels England is a better place to raise their children, Rocco, 7, adopted son David, 2, and 11-year-old daughter Lourdes (dad is Carlos Leon). The bio is also expected to unearth details about the singer’s rampant drug use and lesbian flings. “The book is a warts-and-all account. Chris [Ciccone] was there for all the key moments in Madonna’s life,” an unidentified source told British tabloid The Sun. Madonna has had no part in the book, her rep has said.

Yeesh. It must smart like a mofo to have your brother try and cash in with a book full of sordid tales about your private life. To be honest, I imagine there must be some truth in the book’s pages but I wholeheartedly believe that fabrications and half-truths make up the majority of the book … if you consider that the book publisher may have suggested that liberties and embellishments be added to make the claims more interesting … well, I imagine the book won’t paint a very nice picture of Madonna. It’s no wonder that she and her brother have been estranged for so long … maybe this is his way of getting revenge as well as making some money on the side? On the real, I’d be interested in reading this book. Granted, I’d be taking everything I read with a big grain of salt but I can’t help but be intrigued by what her brother has to say. Nothing in the book would ever change my opinions but I’m afraid I’m dying to know what sort of sordid goss Christopher is trying to peddle.

It's a Family Affair
Williams Vs. Williams In The Wimbledon Finals

AWWWWWWWWWWWW SHIZZZZZZZZZZZ! It looks like the Ladies Wimbledon Finals are gonna be very interesting this year … after they each handily defeated their semi-final opponents Elena Dementieva and Zheng Jie in the tourney this year, the finals match-up will pit sisters Venus (28) and Serena (26) Williams against one another for the crown — this is the first time the ladies have faced each other in a Grand Slam Final in 5 years:

Elena Dementieva and Zheng Jie managed to make their second sets against the Williams sisters very interesting, but power, pressure serving and grass-court experience ultimately prevailed Thursday as Venus and Serena earned the right to make this year’s Wimbledon final a family affair. Such occasions were once the rule in women’s tennis, but it has now been five years since the sisters faced each other in a Grand Slam final. Venus, 28, and Serena, two years her junior, have both survived a wild, upset-filled Wimbledon in style this year. While their usual rivals Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic, who were seeded above them, were beaten early, the Williamses managed to sweep through their respective draws without dropping a set. Venus, the defending champion, went first on Thursday, serving and moving impressively to defeat the 5th-seeded Dementieva, an elegant Russian with a suspect serve, by 6-1, 7-6 (3). Serena played next against Zheng, the first Chinese woman to reach the semfinals of a Grand Slam tournament in singles. The two women of disparate builds and strengths had to work their way through two rain delays: the first one brief, the second one lasting more than an hour. And though Zheng lifted her compact, counter-punching game to a remarkably high level in the final set, she could not manage to push Serena into a third set, as Serena won 6-2, 7-6 (5) … Serena looked relieved and delighted as she clenched her fists and looked over at her parents, Oracene Price and Richard Williams, and at Venus in the players box. “We’re going to stop talking to each other now until the final,” Serena joked later. That would be difficult, considering that the sisters are in the semifinals of doubles here and are scheduled to play together on Friday. But Saturday’s match is the one that matters most to the sisters. Venus will be going for her fifth Wimbledon singles title. Serena will be going for her third. The last time they played in a major final was at Wimbledon in 2003, with Serena winning in three sets.

Venus is out for blood … I just know it. After they play their doubles game on Friday, Venus is gonna go straight for her younger sister’s throat … after all, she can’t let little sis have the last win ;) I keed, I keed … I’m sure the sisters will play very fair and very hard against one another. And no matter which Williams sister wins, I’m sure it will be much deserved.

Apologizes to Mary-Kate Olsen
Spencer Pratt Is Sorry

Spencer Pratt has had a change of heart over the remarks that he made about Mary-Kate Olsen (having said, among other things, that MK is the “less cute” Olsen twin) after she made some not-so-nice comments about him on The Late Show with David Letterman last week. Here is the full ‘mea culpa’ statement released by Spencer to US Weekly magazine:

Spencer Pratt has apologized to Mary-Kate Olsen for calling her “the less cute twin.” Pratt, 24, fired off a tersely-written statement to Usmagazine.com after Olsen, 22, told David Letterman The Hills star used to throw temper tantrums during their high school soccer games. “I apologize for getting caught up in trash talking, but she brought up an emotional subject when she mentioned the soccer stuff,” Pratt tells Us exclusively. “I know Dave was just doing his job in asking her,” he went on. “He’s the best in the game at that.” Pratt even admitted he was a bit envious of the twin. “I respect Mary Kate as a business-woman,” he said. “I’m secretly jealous of her. I want my face on a lunchbox, too!” Sources told Us that the Olsen-Pratt fight began after he sold high school photos of a tipsy-appearing Olsen to Star magazine.

See … and folks think that Spencer doesn’t have a heart. Hopefully this will put an end to this little feud that has been bubbling for years (apparently) and just recently flared up again. Incidentally, I believe it was the photo I posted HERE that Spencer sold to Star magazine. Now that he’s apologized, I’m sure both parties can move forward like grown adults … right?

Yo! Spencer
Spencer Pratt Responds To Mary-Kate Olsen

Spencer Pratt has issued a response to Mary-Kate Olsen‘s comments about him made last night on The Late Show with David Letterman. Earlier today, we learned that MK pretty much put Spencer on blast as she was being interviewed by Letterman while promoting her new movie The Wackness. In retaliation to MK‘s comments, Spencer gave his statement to US Weekly:

Hills star Spencer Pratt is flattered that Mary-Kate Olsen commented about his temper to David Letterman Thursday. “I don’t really get why she’d use my name to get press for her little indie film that no one’s going to see,” he told Usmagazine.com Friday. “She should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than on me.” While promoting her indie film The Wackness, Olsen told Letterman that Pratt played soccer at her high school and “he does not have a good temper. He would walk off the field.” But Pratt told Us that Olsen went to Campbell Hall in North Hollywood while he attended Crossroads School in Santa Monica. “I know I’ve made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman,” Pratt told Us. “I forgive her, though,” he added. “She’s had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough.”

OUCH! Dissing her fashion sense is pretty easy to do (hello, who can’t see the girl dresses like a homeless person) but to call her a “troll” and the “less cute twin” seems to be inviting a feud. Is there a battle royale to be had? Who do you suppose is going to come out on top? Everyone’s favorite supervillain on The Hills or little Michelle Tanner? Bring it on, bitches! I wanna see a fight!!!!
