Jessica Chastain Has Been Absolutely Stunning At The 2013 Cannes Film Festival

So. We’ve seen a lot of great fashion at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Carey Mulligan, Jennifer Lawrence, and Marion Cotillard have all been werking some fabulous looks at the red carpet premieres. However… I think I’ve found my Cannes Queen. Jessica Chastain has been absolutely flawless in these gorgeous gowns and we have to check out a few of these looks. My personal favorite is the one she’s rocking in the main picture– the white, sleeveless Givenchy dress. The hair, the make-up, the cut of the gown– agh! I love it all! Before that she wore off-white when she hosted the Cleopatra premiere, though this time she went for Versace, and the cape trailing behind her (plus those insane sapphires from the Elizabeth Taylor Bulgari collection– whew!) was perfect. And at the All Is Lost premiere she went for some serious color in an embellished purple Givenchy gown. Love, love, love all around. Peep the gallery for more!

This week practically all of the fabulous red carpet fashion went down at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Jennifer Lawrence, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, and pretty much everyone who’s anyone was in attendance, and they all had some fabulous looks this week. It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite, but supermodel Cara Delevingne and Zhang Yuqi both looked pretty amazing. And I’ve been really digging Carey Mulligan‘s red carpet looks for her Great Gatsby promo appearances. Peep the gallery for more!

Yesterday we got to check out some pretty fab pictures of Jennifer Lawrence at a film premiere during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. She was rocking a black and white Dior gown, and that short haircut was really looking amazing. Things were pretty much the same for her Hunger Games: Catching Fire party; in fact, the actress wore an almost identical look– another strapless Dior dress with the same detail on the waist. This white dress has a little more flair, as it features this printed Warhol Femme Head 1958 artwork, and the pink pumps make for some extra fun. Peep the gallery for more! Back in January we saw the first trailer for the new Coen Brothers film, Inside Llewyn Davis. The movie recently premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival to strong reviews and I cannot wait to see it when it hits theatres in December. Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan attended a photo call at Cannes, and they both looked pretty fab. Peep the gallery for more! Garret Hedlund, their co-star, was also in the building.

Coachella: Accomplished!

So … I survived my first Coachella Music and Arts Festival intact … and I am very happy to report that I had a lot of fun. Despite the scorching heat and the hordes of people, I managed to enjoy my one and only day at Coachella much more than I was expecting. Ollie, Caleb and I left LA around noon and made our way into the desert for the music fest. We made a pit stop in Cabazon, CA for lunch and then rolled into Indio, CA right in time to catch Johnny Marr‘s set. The rest of the day was spent relaxing as much as possible, catching other live performances, meeting up with friends, meeting a PITNB reader and then closing out the night with a stellar performance by How to Destroy Angels. I made it hope by 5AM this morning but, yeah, it was totally worth it all. More »

At last … at long last … I am FINALLY making the trek out into the desert to partake of the annual Coachella Music and Arts Festival for the very first time. In the almost 7 years that I have been living in SoCal, I have never once attended Coachella. As I’ve said many times over the years, I’m not a big festival person … and the idea of sweating in the 90+ degree desert heat with thousands and thousands of other people just never appealed to me. That being said, I must confess … I’ve always wondered what it would be like to attend so … since friends of mine are performing the festival this year, I figured it’d be the perfect time to give it a go. The Lollapalooza 2013 Line-Up Has Leaked Online

A good friend of mine suggested that I buy tickets to the 2013 Lollapalooza music festival this year, even before the official line-up was announced, because it would be a music fest that I wouldn’t want to miss. That friend was right because the line-up for this year’s Lollapalooza festival has leaked its way online and it reveals that NINE INCH NAILS is among the acts that will be performing this year. Now, the folks at Lolla won’t be officially announcing this year’s line-up until April 9th but somehow, an advertisement for the line-up has already been published in a magazine … that has been photographed and posted online. Y’all know how it goes. Another day, another celebrity lawsuit! Between her amazing fashion sensibilities, and that one time she hung out with The Game, Taylor Swift is having a pretty awesome 2013. However, the young pop star may be heading to court over a concert cancellation. Swifty was paid $2.5 million (in advance) for a concert that was later cancelled by the promoters. The promoters are now demanding that some of that money be returned, since Taylor never actually performed. Click inside to learn more!

Just the other day we celebrated the awesomeness that is Jennifer Lawrence with a really sweet Throwback Thursday post. As many of us know, J-Law can do no wrong, and she further proved that when she attended the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Jennifer rocked a gorgeous blue and black, Stella McCartney jumpsuit and  looked stunning as she accepted her award for Outstanding Performer of the Year. Peep the gallery for more! The Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival Reveals Its 2013 Line-Up

So … it looks like this year will FINALLY be the year that I actually attend the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival … and I’m not really all that excited about it. I thought I was going to go last year when it was rumored that Trent Reznor‘s new band How to Destroy Angels would be performing but when HDTA did not appear on the line-up, I sold my ticket and opted out. Late yesterday, Coachella released the official line-up for this year’s fest and How to Destroy Angels is on the bill … therefore, I will be there to see the band perform their first live performance in person. I’m not exactly sure if I’m going to attend all 3 days of the fest or just 1 day but … I’ll be there. Yep. I’m almost certain. More »
