Fox has formally and officially announced that our dear Britney has signed on to judge the forthcoming second season of The X Factor. Over the weekend, Vice President Joe Biden publicly voiced his support of same-sex marriage. One day later, Education Secretary Arne Duncan (a member of President Barack Obama‘s Cabinet) also publicly endorsed same-sex marriage. Today, President Obama himself publicly voices his support of same-sex marriage. In an interview that will air in full on ABC News (both tonight and tomorrow on Good Morning America), President Obama tells the world that he is fully in support of marriage equality. Last night a huge number of celebs hit up New York City and glammed themselves to the max to walk the staired red carpet for the 2012 Met Gala. The ball is a huge annual event at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, pretty much always knows as The Met, and has come to be known as fashion’s Oscars. It really is the one night of the year when you get all of Hollywood and all of the biggest names in fashion on the one red carpet together. This year Anna Wintour, Miuccia Prada and Carey Mulligan welcomed the most glamorous people on the planet to the Costume Institute’s annual ball. Adam Yauch Of Beastie Boys Has Died

Beastie Boys rapper Adam MCA Yauch has died at the far too young age of 47. As you may know, Yauch was diagnosed and treated for a cancerous parotid gland back in 2009 and in the years since has been receiving radiation and other treatments (both Western and Eastern treatments). Earlier this year, the Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but Adam was not well enough to attend the induction ceremony. Congratulations and love are in order for Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard because today we learn that two weeks ago, they welcomed the birth of their second child. Maggie gave birth to a baby girl they couple have named Gloria Ray on April 19. As you may know, Maggie and Peter already have a daughter named Ramona so now they have two adorable daughters.
