The news going around today is that Ashton Kutcher is close to signing on to play the late Steve Jobs in a biopic called Jobs about the Apple innovator. A film about Steve Jobs emerged pretty much straight after his passing. Reportedly, Sony began developing such a film merely days after Steve Jobs’ death last October. The film will be based on the best-selling biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson,and Ashton surfaced today as the guy in the lead to play the world’s most respected and powerful entrepreneurs in the business and technological world. Singer Elton John sat down with E! News correspondant David Burtka to share his personal story of being bullied. Altho most people believe that bullying takes place only in school settings, Elton reveals that he was bullied in adulthood. I find this interview very curious because it comes just 2 months after Elton and his husband David Furnish engaged in very public, very hateful bullying against Madonna (over her Golden Globe win for Best Original Song, a category that Elton was also nominated for). In his attempt to lend support to the powerful documentary film Bully, Elton is trying to show that he has been a victim of bullying … without really taking responsibility for his own bullying behavior. You might not believe that the photos below are of James Franco because of his UNCANNY resemblance to Britney Spears‘s ex-husband Kevin Federline … but trust me, it’s James. Lindsay Lohan, who is currently attempting to make a career comeback after many years of legal woes and drama, is confirming today that she will be making a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Glee. As you may recall, Lindsay‘s mother Dina Lohan got really angry last year when Glee lampooned Lindsay‘s trainwreck of a life when she was referred to as “crazy” on the show. Magic Johnson Buys The LA Dodgers Baseball Team

We’ve got some very exciting sports news creating quite a stir here in LA today … it was announced late last night that an investment group lead by LA Lakers basketball star Earvin Magic Johnson put in the successful bid to buy the LA Dodgers baseball team which is up for sale. Johnson‘s group’s bid of $2 billion dollars was not only the highest bid put in for the Dodgers but it is also the highest bid any group has offered for any sports team EVER in North America. For years, the Dodgers have been plagued by the personal drama of the current owner Frank McCourt and his wife (who’s nasty divorce put the Dodgers management in jeopardy). With Magic Johnson as a new owner, it looks like a bright and exciting new era of the LA Dodgers is about to get underway. More »

Bobby Brown Busted For DUI

Bobby Brown, the ex-husband of the late Whitney Houston and all around trainwreck in his own right, was *just* arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence … of something. Bobby was pulled over by police in Van Nuys, CA just about an hour or so ago and was taken into custody. The police will not yet say what substance they believe Bobby was under the influence of when he was arrested. Ugh. More »

Girl Gone Wild is the second single released from Maddy‘s M.D.N.A. album (which hits stores in mere days) and, if I do say so myself, is the best music video she’s made in many, many years. Movie Review: ‘The Hunger Games’

Yesterday afternoon I was invited to an early IMAX screening of The Hunger Games, which is TRULY one of the most talked about, most anticipated films of the year. As a HUGE fan of the books, I have been anxiously awaiting my chance to see this big screen film version in the hopes that the movie will be able to do justice the brilliant novel written by Suzanne Collins. While some changes to the original story had to be made for the film version, I am EXCEEDINGLY pleased to tell you all right now that the film version of The Hunger Games is an absolutely stunning live adaptation of the original book.
