What. Just. Happened.
Listen everyone. I don’t want you to start treating me differently because of the pictures in this gallery. I’m serious. Yes, I’m a TV Editor at Paste now. And yes, this means I get invited to fancy hotels to interview fancy, award-winning actors who you love like cray… like the cast of Orange Is The New Black. And yes, I look kind of amazing in those bathroom selfies (#ASOS dress). But I’m still the same ol’ Shannon. I just hang out with Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Uzo Aduba, Taryn Manning and many other fancy people sometimes. It’s NO. BIG. DEAL. And I’m not gonna change on you! So just peep the gallery for more, and click inside so I can tell you about how
I’m better than everyone right now much fun I had yesterday!
10s Across the Board
Remember back in February when we learned that Rodarte created a fashion line that was inspired by characters from Star Wars? Well, today we learn that fashion designer Bobby Abley has just unveiled a new menswear line for Spring/Summer 2015 that is inspired by Disney‘s The Little Mermaid. As you can see in the gallery presented here, most of the pieces take inspiration directly from the Little Mermaid characters … like Ariel, Ursula and Sebastian. I mean, is it wrong that I totally want to rock the Flotsam & Jetsam sweatshirt (and SKATEBOARD!)? Yeah, probably, but who cares? I may not know fashion but I do know Disney and these looks are fun. With Sofia Coppola‘s version of Mermaid coming out and now this line of menswear by Bobby Abley, The Little Mermaid is so hot right now.
Why This Casting And Terminology Is Important
Let’s talk about terminology for a second here. Today I read the term “gender-fluid” for the first time and I thought, “Yes, perfect.” So much depends on language and the labels that we use (as I’ve said before), and in the conversation about identity, queerness, and the trans experience there’s a lot that many of us have to learn. Some people (many people) still have difficulty accepting that a person can be born one sex, and later identify as another. In a report about Sofia Coppola‘s new movie, I really appreciated the way Indiewire’s /bent shared news about Andrej Pejic. So. excuse me while I add the term “gender-fluid” to my vocabulary, and share this new understanding with all of you. Click inside for more!
Tilda On The Red Carpet DGIF
This week I bowed down to Cate Blanchett and created a massive gallery of some of her best red carpet looks. She continues to prove that Aussie women do it better, and I love the look she’s rocking in this week’s round-up as well. But I’m dying to hear everyone’s thoughts on Tilda Swinton‘s look… and can we please talk about Jenna Dewan-Tatum and how effing adorable she is? Annoying. Peep the gallery for more! Who rocked your favorite look of the week?

"Looking back on the past four years of high school ..."
Way back in the Fall of 2010 we learned that Madonna‘s eldest child, Lourdes Maria, started her first day at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts (the Fame school) and today — 4 years later — we learn that Lola is now a high school graduate. Um, what? In a blogpost that she wrote on the official site for her Material Girl clothing line, Lola looks back on the past four years and reminisces a bit about her time in high school and the first four years of Material Girl. I can’t get my head wrapped around the fact that Madonna‘s baby girl is now a high school graduate but, I digress. Click below to read excerpts from Lola‘s blogpost and weep with me as we come to the realization that Madonna‘s daughter is practically a grown woman now. More »
Cate Blanchett Edition
A while back PITNBr Cee helped me come to the realization that I am more than a lil’ bit obsessed with Australian women. I don’t know how this happened or where this came from. I’ve never been to the continent, and—sadly—do not have any Aussie friends. And yet, here we are. Celebrating the magic of Aussie women. This is the first of a series that will include some of my favorite looks from such beauties as Cate Blanchett, Miranda Kerr, Rose Byrne, Robyn Lawley, and Iggy Azalea. Today, we begin with the incomparable Cate, who had me writhing on the floor in ecstasy when I first saw her in Balenciaga.Edition. Let’s relive the magic with that red carpet look, and many, many others. Peep the gallery for more!

Here Are 3 Important Life Lessons She Just Taught Me
OMG. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Betty Draper is the truuuuuth! I was just on Complex and they’d posted this Throwback Thursday photo of January Jones as a 1996 bridal couture model, and I found myself going down the rabbit hole that is her Instagram account. Y’all. Where AM I?! Look, all I know is I saw a photo of her with Marion Cotillard at the 2011 Met Ball, and my brain literally could not compute. What did they discuss? And where was I? And why didn’t anybody call me? Please click inside so you can see some of these amazing photos, and learn the way of the Jones.

Do you guys remember when we were celebrating Ciara for Throwback Thursday a while back and I was obsessively obsessing over everything, but especially her Promise video? Ugh. Still love that video so hardcore! Anyway, I had an excuse to relive the magic all over again when I was hanging out on Beyoncé‘s Instgram page and started noticing a lot of comments on this one photo. Fans (or haters) seem to think that she’s totally biting off of Ciara‘s look from the Promise video. Click inside for more!

All of you who’ve been
stalking checking out photos of Miranda Kerr over the past couple of years with me know that this day has totally been coming. Miranda is a part of a select group of celebrities who have unusually, insanely, perfect-looking children. Marion Cotillard is at the top of this list. And as soon as I become a celebrity, I’ll be all up in there as well. We love seeing baby Flynn (yes, he’s still a baby to me) out and about with mommy, and now we get to see him in this Vogue Australia spread. It’s official, y’all. This is the cutest mother/son spread ever in all time. Click inside for more!
Most Sarcastic Headline Ever
Late last month Ciara gave birth to a bouncing baby boy who she proudly named Future Zahir Wilburn. Baby Future (named after CiCi‘s fiancé Future) has not made an official appearance just yet, although we did get a little peek at the teeniest, tiniest, cutest fingers via her Instagram page shortly after he was born. We may not know what Future looks like, but we have recently learned that he currently has more shoes than me. Click inside for more!
