'Hey politicians, the 1950s called....'
One of my favorite moments from the
Beyoncé show MTV Video Music Awards the other night, was the FEMINIST sign that flashed on stage behind her (which may or may not now be my Facebook cover photo). I am all about The Feminism, and I am all about celebrities who are not afraid to speak up and say Women Are Watching. I always knew I liked that Scarlett Johansson, and now that I’m hearing she’s teaming up with Planned Parenthood on some new T-shirt designs, I’m officially on Team ScarJo. The mom-to-be is not interested in a political climate that so strongly resembles the 1950s, for women. I’m with it. Click inside for more!
So many 'What am I looking at?' moments, so little time...
First off, Amber Rose took to Instagram to let the world know that absolutely “no f—s were given,” in case you were curious. Her husband Wiz Khalifa wore a shirt promoting the prevention of suicide, which I thought was cool—but I’m sure nobody in attendance caught that. Looks I loved include Iggy Azalea‘s, Nicki Minaj‘s and… well.. Amber Rose. LMAO. Peep the gallery for more!

Michelle Dockery, FTW; Tyra Banks, WTF?
Don’t you just love when you find a new red carpet fashionista (or -nisto) to start stalking? Friggen Michelle Dockery is my new jam right now. That green Zac Posen number, and that Roland Mouret crop top/skirt combo platter just did me in. Also, OBSESSED with Laverne Cox‘s look… and very concerned about Tyra Banks‘ situation. Um. How do I get my boobs to do this???
Friggen, this chic. That’s all I have to say. This. Chic. Okay, no, I have more to say. Naomi Campbell reminds me that there is a whole new world waiting for me beyond my thirties. People don’t get it when I say I’m looking forward to getting older, but I get the sense that if you are as awesome and fierce as I sometimes think I am in my head, ish only gets better. Enter 44 year-old Naomi Campbell, who scored two big covers recently—one for Harper’s Bazaar Latin America, and the other for Interview Magazine. I always love the Interview shoots, and this time they really went above and beyond. Click inside for what may be the greatest NSFW Naomi Campbell photo ever.
LOOK at her!
For those of us who first experienced the magic of Betty White on The Golden Girls, it’s interesting to think that we’d already missed out on forty years of her career. I can’t even wrap my brain around how much work this person done over the years/generations—it’s astounding. And it really gets put into perspective with stories like this. People asked White about her first time at the Emmy Awards, in 1951, and her response was amazing. Click inside for more—and for a better look at that photo!
It was... um... big. Very big.
Listen, I am not about hating on wedding dresses (except for this one). As an unwed mother of three, I’m really in no position to do that, so if you’ve figured out a way to make it down the aisle—mad props to you! LOL. I can’t wait to rock a big fluffy white gown one day, but in the mean time I’m going to post pictures of other people’s wedding gowns… and maybe judge them a teeny tiny bit. Now y’all know I love Amber Rose. And I think her fashion choices are always funky—in a good way. I’m just trying to figure out exactly what is going on with her wedding dress, which we are finally seeing, one year after her marriage to Wiz Khalifa. Click inside for more!
Nice try, Bey
Yesterday I wrote a little about coming to terms with the fact that Beyoncé may just be the type of celebrity who has her Instagram pictures photoshopped before she posts them. I can accept a certain amount of diva in the world’s biggest pop stars, but that whole movement just irks me a bit. And many of you agreed that her photos are most likely/definitely being altered. In what I’m assuming is a direct response to our conversation, Beyoncé has taken to Instagram to post a new photo that gives us a glimpse at Blue Ivy. Click inside for more!
Plus, these shoessss!
Jessica Alba hit up the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and looked amazing. I don’t know what it is about her style, but I always love the way she looks. I think she’s just the visual definition of sexy and classy at the same time, always and forever. This time around she rocked a gorgeous blue Zac Posen dress, these silver strappy mules, and yeah. Slayage. Peep the gallery for more!

What say YOU?
So, a lot of celebrities have been accused of photoshopping their Instagram photos recently and there’s a big part of me that just really did not want to believe that. I feel like the whole point of Instagram is that “in the moment” vibe. And with celebrity Instagram accounts, I feel like it’s such a cool opportunity for them to give us a glimpse into their real lives, sans photoshop. But alas, I’m starting to think the rumors—specifically the ones about Beyoncé are totally true. Two recent photos of hers look a little strange to me. Click inside for more.
