‘Alice In Wonderland’ Releases A Mad Hatter Promo Poster

Earlier this month we learned that the folks promoting Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland released a movie poster on Facebook featuring the White Queen and then released a poster featuring Alice herself. Today, the official Alice In Wonderland Facebook page releases a third poster featuring the wily Mad Hatter, played by Johnny Depp:

The message posted with this Mad Hatter movie poster alludes to the fact that it will be the “last” promo photo shared on Facebook for a while. I suppose it makes sense that the folks promoting the show would put a halt on releasing goodies to fans so early before the film hits theaters. Of the three posters, I think I like this one the least … I don’t think they featured the Mad Hatter as expertly as they could’ve. That being said, we still have a lot of time to wait before the film opens in theaters next Spring … I’ll take any and everything they’ve got to give. I just hope they don’t make us wait too long before they release another fun goodie.

‘Alice In Wonderland’ Releases An Alice Promo Poster

Yesterday we got our first look at a movie poster from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland which was released on Facebook and features the White Queen character. Today we get our first look at another Wonderland poster newly released on Facebook … but this one features the main character in Wonderland, Alice herself:

It’s unclear if more posters will be released to fans on a daily basis like this but you can be sure that there will be more fun releases like this to come in the months leading up to the film’s release. I understand from a Pink reader (thanks Mr. Gyllenhaal) that a 3D trailer for Alice in Wonderland is showing in front of Disney’s A Christmas Carol in theaters right now. The fact that I hate the Christmas Carol story and am not very fond of Jim Carrey means that I will prolly not see the movie for myself … but I would LOVE to see the Wonderland trailer in 3D on the big screen. It might be worth going to see Carol and then just leaving before the movie even starts. In any event, I’ll continue to watch the official Alice in Wonderland Facebook page for any new goodies to come. I’m really looking forward to seeing future posters … which character would you like to see released next?

‘Alice In Wonderland’ Releases A White Queen Promo Poster

Great news Alice In Wonderland fans, the movie’s official Facebook profile has released a new promo poster for Tim Burton’s vision of the tale and today we get our first look of that new poster artwork. Here is the new White Queen-centric poster just released for the film:

This is an awesome poster and seems to be the first of many posters coming our way. According to the Alice In Wonderland Facebook profile, if the page gets 7,500 likes (ie. 7,5000 Facebook followers have to join the Alice Facebook page and then click the image) then another movie poster will be revealed on the site. My guess is that there will eventually be posters for each of the main characters in Wonderland. If you are interested in seeing these releases as soon as they become available, I suggest you add the Alice Facebook page to your roster of Facebook friends. I’m sure there will be many “games” like this for fans to play in order to unlock new releases (ie. photos, videos, etc.) from the film … considering the movie won’t be in theaters until next Spring, there is lots of time to play along. What do y’all think of this poster … do we like?

Filming Gets Underway On The Facebook Movie

Johns Hopkins University will fill in as Harvard University in the new Facebook movie titled The Social Network which has already started production. The film will tell the tale of how a Harvard student came up with a way for other students to interact with one another … a social network, if you will … and will star Jesse Eisenberg (the poor man’s Michael Cera) as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. It turns out that folks at Johns Hopkins aren’t too happy that their school is being portrayed as Harvard but hey, that’s showbiz. Here are a few pics from the set this week:

The Johns Hopkins University passed itself off as Harvard in a movie Monday without feeling the least bit flattered. “It feels degrading somehow,” said Diego Ardila, 19, as he watched workers remove the words “Latrobe Hall” from a stately brick building and replace them with “Kirkland House.” Hopkins’ Homewood campus is standing in for Harvard in “The Social Network,” a movie about the creation of Facebook by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg. The movie, like some Hopkins students, couldn’t get into Harvard, which has a longstanding policy against commercial filming on campus. So the production has opened some old college-admissions wounds. “The general consensus is, a lot of kids are not pleased,” said Lorre Atlan, 20, a junior majoring in biomedical engineering. “It’s obvious they [the filmmakers] could get Hopkins and not get Harvard.” That’s left Hopkins, one of the nation’s most selective colleges, feeling like a safety school. “It’s kind of like a blow to our pride,” said Ray Tsai, a 19-year-old sophomore studying biomedical engineering, an academic subject in which, he and others noted, Hopkins is rated more highly than Harvard. The sea of Hopkins hoodies and T-shirts on the campus’ quads Monday only looked like genuine school spirit. It was attempted sabotage. An anti-Harvard Facebook page urged students to “poke” into the movie by walking by the set in Hopkins wear. “Hopefully one slips in,” said Jack Chan, 19, a sophomore who pulled on a black Hopkins sweat shirt as he watched filming begin outside Shaffer Hall Monday afternoon. Not everyone thinks playing Harvard, which was tied for first with Princeton in U.S. News & World Report’s most recent college rankings, is beneath Hopkins, which came in a none-too-shabby 14th. “I think the people who have a problem with it are the same people who have latent self-loathing from the college admissions process,” said Sam Biddle, 22, a senior philosophy major. Jan Lee, 21, a junior in biomedical engineering, conceded, “A lot of people came here because they didn’t get into Harvard, Yale or Stanford.” Hopkins spokesman Dennis O’Shea put it in terms that might appeal to the competitive student body: “I prefer to think that we play Harvard better than Harvard can play Harvard.”

Yeah, I dunno know I feel about this idea of a Facebook movie. I understand they are trying to do something with Twitter as well … and I can only dread what they would turn out if they did a project on My Space. While I’m sure it’s somewhat interesting to see how the whole Facebook phenomenon got started, I can’t say that I’m all that impressed with the notion of a movie. It seems like just a way to capitalize on these new online ventures in order to make a quick buck. The fact that it is being directed by David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club) does speak to its merit but … I dunno. Are any of y’all interested in watching a movie about Facebook? I’m not sure that I am … I can barely be bothered to poke my friends on the social networking site itself. By the way … are we Facebook friends yet?

Pink reader Stephanie sends in a cute pic of Twilight star Taylor Lautner when he was but a wee lad in the 4th grade (which really wasn’t that long ago). This page from Taylor’s elementary school yearbook made its way to Facebook and, eventually, made its way to us … behold:

Aww … it looks like Taylor has finally grown into his ears. That smile is unmistakable. This pic looks like it was taken around the same time that Taylor first found fame as Sharkboy in his debut film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3D. My, my …

Ashton Kutcher Waxes His Chest

Ashton Kutcher, who is an avid user of Twitter, just posted a tweet that points to his Facebook profile which is featuring a new cameraphone video of him getting his chest waxed. According to Kutcher himself, because his stunt double from his new film Five Killers got a chest wax then so, too, did he have to get a chest wax as well … so of course, he had to share. Ashton, who just recently posted a photo of his wife Demi Moore’s ass on his Twitter profile, is clearly not very shy when it comes to sharing things on the Internet. Not that I’m a big Ashton Kutcher fan or anything but I wonder just how far he is willing to take his love of sharing … might there be more interesting goodies to come from Ashton’s Twitter profile? Perhaps we should follow him and find out.

Justin Gaston Guest Stars On ‘The Miley & Mandy Show’

Miley Cyrus has debuted the latest installment of her ongoing Internet show/program/whatever The Miley & Mandy Show which features a special guest appearance and performance by her 20-year old manfriend and underwear model (not to mention part time crooner) Justin Gaston. Miley and BFF Mandy Jiroux periodically film short You Tube clips and post them online for fans to enjoy and offer an extra special treat in their newest episode. Here are a few screencaps from this particular webisode:

The clip is a bit uncomfortable to watch at first since it kinda feels like Justin doesn’t really want to participate … he shyly looks away from the camera and mumbles his responses to Miley’s queries. It kinda feels like she forced him to appear in the clip. Justin warms up a bit when he performs an original song, which I think is called If She Makes Me Happy, that he wrote which seems to address his relationship with Miley — could it be that she also forced him to write and perform the song for her benefit? It’s pretty obvious that the line in the song that goes “If she makes me happy, why do you really care? You worry about things like what kind of shirts I wear” is in response to blogposts like THIS and THIS :) I was also taken by the line that goes, “I wonder when ‘being happy’ became ‘committin’ a crime’” to which I’d respond by saying, It’s not a crime to be happy … just be careful how “happy” you get with an underage girl … depending on your jurisdiction. The sweetest line of the song has to be “lookin’ in her eyes is like falling in love for the millionth time” — altogether now, AWWWWWWWW! Then the lyrics start talkin’ about Jesus … in fact, Jesus and Bible quotes get mentioned a few times thruout the clip by both Justin and Miley … I think Mandy throws out an Amen or two. Mandy, for her part, doesn’t do much but stand off to the side to play foil to Miley … which really makes the whole thing feel like The Miley Show. In Justin’s defense, I must say that homie can write a serious rhyme … his lyrics aren’t that bad and I’m impressed that he was able to craft a song so quickly after commentary about his dressing habits hit the Internets. The clip pimps out Justin’s official My Space music profile, which is prolly all the payment he got for appearing in the clip. At least, I hope that’s the only payment he received … we don’t want no felonies going down in the Cyrus family home, now do we? I don’t think Jesus would be down with that.

Lindsay Lohan Denies Break-Up With Samantha Ronson

Kelly Osbourne Is Gettin’ Hitched

According to the ever-reliable social networking site Facebook, it appears that congratulations are in order for Kelly Osbourne and her model fiancée Luke Worrall. According to Worrall’s Facebook profile page, the young couple have decided to tie the knot, y’all:

Kelly Osbourne is getting hitched. She is engaged to model Luke Worrall, he has revealed on his Facebook page. According to Britain’s The Daily Mail, he changed his online relationship status to “engaged to Kelly Osbourne.” Osbourne, 23, has been dating Worrall, 18, for about six months.

Now, before any of y’all run out to pick out wedding gifts for the happy couple, I’d caution y’all to wait and see if the couple actually makes it down the aisle. This Facebook announcement could just be a joke and even if it is true, Kelly O. has not been very lucky in love before. While tentative congrats may be in order, let’s keep the champagne on ice until we get more substantive confirmation. Brady Quinn Calls Personal Foul

For months now Cleveland Browns football stud Brady Quinn has been appearing shirtless in Facebook ads for an online “dating” site which promotes “M4M Cruising Online” … unfortch, his appearance has been totally unauthorized. At last, Quinn had his legal peeps bring action against the “dating” site and has moved to have his image removed from their advertisements. In case you missed it, here is what the M4M ads look like and the photo of Quinn that they used:

NFL baller Brady Quinn wants to make one thing clear: He’ll huddle up with sweaty, muscular men — he just won’t date ‘em. No matter what a gay dating website is leading people to believe. A topless — and really, really hot — photo of the Cleveland Browns quarterback has been used to promote a dating website for months. The only problem — nobody cleared it with Brady! A rep for the Cleveland Browns tells us Brady had no knowledge of the ad saying, “He was not involved in posting photos.” Brady’s lawyer has already taken action and has sent a cease and desist letter to the website today, demanding all photos of him be removed ASAP.

LOL! I’m actually surprised Brady Quinn waited this long to take action. I remember hearing about this M4M thing a couple of months ago. My guess is that the service found his photo online by Google search (much like I found the same photo for use here) and then used it in their ad, most likely unaware that he was anyone famous. No harm, no foul … oh wait, maybe just a little foul for poor Brady … hee hee ;)
