Man With Hat

The TV Guide

Last night, for the first time ever, I got to see the classic 80s band Men Without Hats live in concert. I found out about the show pretty last minute via email from The Viper Room and considering how much a fan of the 80s I am, I jumped at the chance to see the show. I was pretty surprised that the lead singer of Men Without Hats actually performs with a hat on but … other than that, it was a really fun show. I Saw The Sign-ing

The TV Guide

Last night I attended an in-store book signing event hosted by Marilyn Manson and his new BFF Shia LaBeouf here in Hollywood, CA where the pair were meeting fans who purchased their book Born Villain. As unlikely a pairing as they may seem, MM and Shia looked like the best of buds and honestly were about as cool as possible for every single person who came out to meet them. I managed to get in line kinda late but the wait wasn’t that bad at all. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Shia but having met MM before, I was hoping it would be another pleasant experience. I’m happy to say that it was. I snapped some photos, check ‘em out below. More »

I Wanna ‘Go-Gos’

The TV Guide

Last night David and I attended the Ladies Gone Wild Tour stop here in LA performed by the Queens of Rock The Go-Go’s. I managed to get us a pair of VIP meet and greet tickets which menat we got a pair of sweet seats as well as a meet and greet session with the band before the show. I cannot even tell you how much fun that meet and greet was. Not only were the ladies extremely generous and loving to each and every fan but they went out of their way to make the encounter truly special for each person. And as if that wasn’t enough, they hit the stage and put on a mothereffing FANTASTIC show. Click below to see some fun photos from last night’s show. More »

Rumor Has It That The Oprah Winfrey Show Will Feature A LONG List Of Final Guests

Madonna, Stevie Wonder, Maya Angelou and Many MORE!

On Friday we learned of a report that claims that Will and Jada Pinkett Smith will be the final guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show … today, a little bird tells me that Will and Jada will not only be the final guests but they will be a pair of MANY final guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show. A source dishes to me that The final ep will tape in Chicago, IL at the United Center in front of 15,000 people (the massive stage will be set up tonight as soon as the Bulls vs. Heat basketball game is finished). Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise will host the final episode and Oprah will be completely surprised by the parade of guests who will come out to honor her. Wanna know who is rumored to be in attendance? Read on below. More »

A Wonder-ful Night With Prince

The TV Guide

Last night I attended my 7th show of Prince‘s 21 Night Stand concert residency here in LA (not counting the 2 intimate shows I saw at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA last Wednesday) and I can only tell you that the shows keep getting better and better and BETTER! One of my fave new musicians, Janelle Monáe, opened for Prince last night and as if that wasn’t enough to make the night extra special … Detroit’s own legendary Stevie Wonder came out to perform with Prince and the New Power Generation to celebrate his birthday! Last night was truly a Wonderful night ;D More »

Prince Rocks The Troubadour ALL NIGHT LONG

The TV Guide

Yesterday afternoon, seemingly out of nowhere, The Troubadour announced that Prince would be playing two last minute shows in their tiny club Wednesday night. With almost no warning, tickets went immediately onsale for an early 7pm show and a late 11pm show. Because I am totally crazy, I jumped at the chance to get a ticket for the 11pm show … and then had enough time to get a ticket for the 7pm show as well. It turns out that my friend David Russell and his friend Chris were also attending the 7pm show so we met up at the Troubadour to begin what turned out to be one of the most amazing nights of live music I’ve ever seen. Salem Bring Their Spooky Sound To LA

The TV Guide

Ever since I fell in love with the Michigan band Salem last year (to the point that I named their debut album King Night as my #1 Album of 2010), I’ve been DYING to see the band live on stage. Last night, at long last, Salem finally brought their show to SoCal and my BFF Angie and I got to see them live for the first time. I was thrilled to see that Salem are able to bring the amazingness live in much the same way they do on their album. They put on one Hell of a show … literally. More »
