Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To The Henry Fonda Theater, LA

The TV Guide
Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Last night was the 3rd of 4 Nine Inch Nails concerts performed here in SoCal on the Wave Goodbye Tour and by many accounts, NIN managed to outdo themselves yet again. Not only was I at last night’s show but I was front and center against the rail and managed to witness the almost 3 hour show from the best “seat” in the house:

The theme of the show was Guest Stars because not only did Gary Numan come out to perform with NIN again but so, too, did David Bowie’s pianist Mike Garson, Dillinger Escape Plan frontman Greg Puciato, Jane’s Addiction bandmember Eric Avery and former Nine Inch Nails bandmember Danny Lohner … AND, the show opening band Health even came out to perform on one of the songs (making it seem like there were 45 people on stage) — it was a truly fantastic sight to behold. After the jump, check out a bunch of photos that I took at last night’s show (my best yet), see the full 32 song (!!!) setlist and watch video of Gary Numan performing his song Down in the Park with NIN on stage …

Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To The EchoPlex, LA

The TV Guide

Last night Nine Inch Nails played the second of the 4 final dates of the Wave Goodbye Tour at The EchoPlex in Los Angeles, CA in front of a sold out house of about 700 fans. Last night’s venue was supposed to be the last one of the tour but due to illness and rescheduling, it became the 3rd to last show of the tour:

As you might expect, Trent Reznor brought not only a blistering set of songs but also brought out a special guest to perform with NIN on stage … providing a rock solid, raucous show for the audience. After the jump, check out a few of the photos I took at last night’s concert, see the full show setlist and watch video of NIN performing I Die: You Die with Gary Numan on vocals …

Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To The Hollywood Palladium, LA

The TV Guide
Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Last night Nine Inch Nails played the first of their final batch of shows on their Wave Goodbye Tour and ended up putting on one of the greatest shows they’ve ever performed. As you may recall, NIN performed the entirety of their epic album The Downward Spiral live at Webster Hall in NYC, NY last week … and they decided to do it again for the West Coast crowd. Because the Webster Hall show was not recorded professionally by the band, methinks Trent Reznor wanted to do it again for the record.

Last night’s show was, IMHO, superior to the Webster Hall performance primarily because not only did we get TDS in full but we also got a guest performance by Gary Numan, who TR brought on stage for a couple of songs. After the jump, check out a few of my photos from last night’s show, see the full setlist, watch video of some of the songs performed last night (including A Warm Place, which was performed live for only the second time ever) and find out which celeb were in the hiz to see NIN perform at the Hollywood Palladium last night …

Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To New York City

The TV Guide
Thursday, August 27th, 2009

And so … my NYC NINventure has come to a close. Last night, Nine Inch Nails played their second show at Terminal 5, which was their last in NYC for the foreseeable future. It’s hard to believe that all 4 NYC shows are over already but the band are already on their way to Chicago, IL for the 2 shows there before they make their way to Canada for their final festival performance there. Last night’s Terminal 5 show clocked in at about 2 hours and 45 minutes and provided a raucously fun send off for the NYC fans:

Peter Murphy was, once again, a special guest performer for last night’s show but he managed to out do his surprise appearance at Tuesday night’s show. After the jump, check out a few of my photos, check out the full 32 song setlist and watch video of NIN performing the amazing song Something I Can Never Have

Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To Terminal 5, NYC

Last night I attended the third NYC show of the final leg of the Nine Inch Nails tour Wave Goodbye. Last Saturday night’s performance took place at the Bowery Ballroom and Sunday night’s performance took place at Webster Hall … last night’s venue was Terminal 5:

In addition to an amazing setlist performed with intense precision by Nine Inch Nails, Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy was brought out on stage to duet with the band on 3 songs. It was an especially fun night for me as I was able to meet up with Trent Reznor, his adorable fiancée Mariqueen and the rest of the NIN crew before the show … where I even got to meet Peter Murphy as well. TR has agreed to give me another interview back in LA at the close of the Wave Goodbye Tour but I’ll get to that in a bit. After the jump, check out a few of the photos I snapped last night, see the full setlist performed and watch video of Nine Inch Nails featuring Peter Murphy on the NIN song Dead Souls

Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To Webster Hall, NYC

The TV Guide

I find that I am still trying to wrap my head around last night’s Nine Inch Nails show at Webster Hall here in NYC, NY where the band played the entirety of the masterpiece album The Downward Spiral LIVE for the first and only time. Of the 20+ NIN shows I’ve seen since 1994, I gotta say that last night’s has to be the best … if for sheer content alone. Little did I know when I was going inside the venue last night that I would be among the lucky few NIN fans to bear witness to a truly legendary concert experience:

I realize that this may sound like extreme hyperbolic nonsense, especially to non-NIN fans, but I can assure you, the epic nature of last night’s show will truly be remembered for all time by Nine Inch Nails fans the world over. Whether you were there last night or just heard about it online, it’s all any NIN fan can talk about today (and prolly will talk about for many years to come). After the jump, check out a few of the photos that I snapped last night along with the full setlist (yes, they played a bunch of amazing songs after they completed TDS: Live) and find out where you can watch video of some of the songs performed last night …

Nine Inch Nails ‘Wave Goodbye’ To The Bowery Ballroom, NYC

The TV Guide
Sunday, August 23rd, 2009

Last night was the first show of the FINAL leg of Nine Inch Nails’s Wave Goodbye Tour and, by pretty much all accounts, it was a fucking FANTASTIC performance. NIN played the intimate (ie. minuscule) Bowery Ballroom to a well-sold out house of ardent fans. The Horrors were the opening act but, in all honest, every single person in that venue was there for NIN:

The setlist for last night’s show was an excellent mixture of old and new and provided over 2 hours of kickass entertainment. Those of you seeing any of the future NIN shows on this leg of the Wave Goodbye Tour are in for a treat because I’ve been assured that the shows will all be different and Trent Reznor has got a bunch of really amazing surprises in store (if just *one* of the setlist scenarios I heard about turns out to be true, I will DIE). After the jump, check out some of the photos I snapped at last night’s concert, see the full setlist and watch video of NIN performing Discipline
