Yesterday we learned the AMAZING news that our dear Britney Spears and her loverman Jason Trawick got themselves ENGAGED to be married and last night, our dear Britwick make their way to Las Vegas, NV to celebrate their engagement (oh, and Jason‘s 40th birthday, too). Britney PROUDLY showed off her sparkly new engagement bling in almost every photo that was snapped of her last night and pretty much just BEAMED with happiness all night long. Jason looked pretty happy, too :) To make things official, Britney posted a message on her official Twitter profile officially confirming her engagement AND she changed her Facebook relationship status to “engaged”. Late last month we heard a rumor that Jason Trawick was planning to propose marriage to our dear Britney Spears on or around her 30th birthday on December 2. Well, Britney‘s birthday came and went and … no engagement. Yesterday, Jason celebrated his 40th birthday (and recieved a pretty kickass gift from Brit Brit) and reportedly proposed to Britney last night! Now, news of Britwick‘s engagement has NOT YET BEEN CONFIRMED but Britney posted a message on her official Twitter profile just minutes ago that seem to allude that the happy news is TRUE! Yesterday we learned the happy (albeit very quick) news that Rosie O’Donnell got herself engaged to be married to girlfriend-turned-fiancée Michelle Rounds. Today we get to check out the phat rock that Rosie gave to Michelle when she proposed to her. Rosie shared the engagement ring photo on her official Twitter profile mere moments after she broke the engagement news on her new talk show The Rosie Show. Comedienne/Actress/Talk Show host Rosie O’Donnell is getting married! After breaking up with her previous girlfriend Tracy Kachtick-Anders back in February, Rosie met and fell in love with a woman named Michelle Rounds. Today we learn that Rosie broke the happy news of the couple’s engagement on her new TV show The Rosie Show and announced that the pair will be married by Xmas. HMMM … she sure does move fast, don’t she? Met, engaged and married in under a year? Someone’s … in a hurry?

Last week Life & Style magazine reported that the formerly engaged Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler, who broke off their engagement back in June, got themselves re-engaged to be married. Today we learn that they were right! Kirstin was photographed with her fat engagement ring this week and just moments ago, Kristin confirmed the re-engagement on her official Twitter profile! It looks like congratulations are re-in order!!

2011 has been a pretty significantly stellar year for our dear Britney Spears and in just a couple of days, she will turn 30 years old. According to People magazine, her year is reportedly about to become even more significant … ‘cuz their sources tell them that Jason Trawick is planning to pop the question. For many many months now, rumors have been going around that Britney and Jason either have gotten or are about to get engaged to be married. I normally pay those rumors no mind … but People magazine tends to get these things right. Could wedding bells be in Britwick‘s very near future?

Back in April we learned the happy news that Kristin Cavallari and footballer Jay Cutler got themselves engaged to be wed. In the weeks that followed, we heard all about the couple’s plans for a lavish 2012 wedding. Those happy reports came to an abrupt end in July when it was reported that the engagement was off due to Jay‘s dumping of Kristin. Today I am happy to report that the couple are re-engaged to be married … at least according to Life & Style magazine. So, I suppose, congrats are re-in order for the re-happy couple.

In March of 2010, Ricky Martin officially came out as an openly gay man. A year later, in April of this year, it was reported that Ricky and his longtime partner Carlos Gonzalez Abella were planning on getting married in Abella’s home country of Spain (where same-sex marriage is legal). Today we learn that Ricky has successfully become a Spanish citizen, paving the way for the guys to say I Do.

According to some excellent sleuthing (or should I say, snooping), OC Weekly is reporting that Frances Bean Cobain may be engaged to be married to her boyfriend of just over a year Isaiah Silva, frontman of the band The Rambles. According to the information gathered from the couples’ secret Facebook pages, OC Weekly is suggesting that Frances and Isaiah may have bought a home to settle down in and have gotten themselves secretly engaged. Now, this assumption is based on shadowy here one minute, gone the next relationship status updates but I suppose it’s a feasible enough possibility.

As the rain started to pour in NYC yesterday, David and I packed up our bags on our way out of town bound for home. Anytime you are dealing with any sort of weather near JFK Airport, you run the risk not only of having your flight delayed … you also run the risk having your entire flight cancelled. Thankfully, despite the somewhat heavy rain, we not only managed to NOT be delayed … but we even left on time. The only unfortunate thing about our having to leave NYC yesterday was that we missed celebrating with our friends Shane and Jason … because they got engaged to be married last night!
