Now, take this bit of info with a grain of salt but Star magazine is reporting that Lauren LC Conrad has accepted actor boyfriend Kyle Howard’s marriage proposal. The mag reports that now that LC is freed up from her responsibilities on The Hills, Howard jumped at the chance to ask for her hand in marriage … which she, reportedly, quickly accepted. Could LC and Kyle really be gettin’ hitched?

Now that Lauren Conrad is off “The Hills,” Star reports, her boyfriend, Kyle Howard, has proposed, and “Lauren barely let him get the words out before she said yes.” Not least because she wanted to get engaged at the very moment that Heidi Montag was vomiting in the Costa Rican jungle.

Aww … while this is a sweet story, I have huge doubts that there is any validity to it at all. LC strikes me as a very level-headed person and the notion that she would get married at this point in her life seems unlikely to me. And, let’s be real here … Star magazine is not really a bastion of reliable news reporting. Even still … I can only imagine what kind of lavish wedding that LC would have if she really were to get hitched. I’m fairly certain it would be the kind of wedding that would blow the Speidi ceremony out of the water. And I’d bet hard cash that LC would not be inviting the Pratts to her nuptials. But … alas … I fear this rumor is merely just that … a rumor. Let’s hold off on the wedding gifts for now.

Happy news to share today … Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon announced yesterday, at the Love, Peace and Marriage Equality Rally in NYC (which brought out folks like Kristin Davis, Cheyenne Jackson, David Hyde Pierce, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg and more), that she and longtime girlfriend Christine Marinoni have gotten engaged and are ready to finally say I Do! The couple, who have been together since 2003, share custody of a daughter and a son and are now ready to take their relationship to the next level. At yesterday’s rally, Cynthia announced that she and Christine got engaged last month … they’re gettin’ hitched, y’all:

While rallying for gay rights in New York this weekend, Cynthia Nixon announced her engagement to girlfriend Christine Marinoni, the Sex and the City star’s rep confirms to E! News. The couple has been together since late 2003, shortly after Nixon split from her longtime companion Danny Mozes. The exes share custody of their two children, Samantha, 14, and Charles, 7. Nixon shared the news with audiences during the Love, Peace and Marriage Equality rally in New York City.

The actress and Marinoni became engaged last month and are currently working to support the new gay-rights bill proposed by New York Gov. David Paterson. The goal is to achieve equality for same-sex unions. Access Hollywood first reported the engagement. Nixon and the rest of the Sex and the City gang are set to start filming the movie’s sequel this summer.

This is very happy news. I’m thrilled for Cynthia and Christine. The couple have been together for so long and have previously announced that they didn’t want to get “pretend married”. Now that there are 5 States in the US that have legalized same-sex marriage, with New Hampshire on the verge and NY working towards the same, I guess the time was finally right for the couple to start making plans for their nuptials. Much love and congrats to their entire family! I can’t wait until they’re finally able to get ‘er done.

Last month Nine Inch Nails frontman/creator Trent Reznor participated in an interview for DIGG.com where he answered the 10 most popular questions as voted on by DIGG visitors. Apparently, fans who frequent the forums at NIN.com and Echoing the Sound were not really happy with the questions that were asked and they began voicing their displeasure with the interview on those messageboards. Reznor decided to reach out to those fans and asked them to come up with their own questions for him to answer and agreed to participate in a new interview. The interview was conducted via webcam (a first for Reznor) last night and has been posted online for download (it hasn’t yet been encoded for streaming online). I’ve been able to watch the interview and will pass along some of what I think are the most interesting highlights … including TR’s first public acknowledgment of his recent engagement:

Trent was asked about the possibility of releasing any unreleased music and he revealed that there isn’t an archive of unreleased NIN tracks for him to release. He mentioned that if an artist does have a library of unreleased tracks like that then they should release them … he then suggested that Prince release some of his unreleased music because, according to TR, his last few albums “have sucked”. Reznor then laughed off his comment and said, “I may be happy and engaged but I can still be a prick.” This is the first public acknowledgment that Trent has made about his engagement to West Indian Girl singer Mariqueen Maandig. As a very private person, I know it’s a big deal for TR to talk about his private life like this … my guess is that he mentioned it before the question could be asked of him. I was lucky enough to meet the beautiful Mariqeen at the Star Trek premiere here in Hollywood, CA last week when Trent introduced her to me:

Believe me, nothing would’ve pleased me more than to share their good news with the world but it was not my place to make any announcement. It was only after Mariqueen herself made the announcement online that I offered my public congratulations :)

Trent clarified that “Nine Inch Nails is not done” and that the hiatus to come after this year’s NIN/JA 2009 Tour is just so that he can be “stationary” for a while. He wants to ensure that NIN is a “precious thing” and putting it aside for a while will keep it from getting beat down to death with endless touring. He revealed that he doesn’t want to become a “parody” of himself and that he needs “to take a breath and reconnect” with himself. He then talks a bit about the style of the NIN/JA Tour setlist-wise and promises that there will be a few surprises (including cover songs). The entire interview is long and really interesting to watch, mainly because of TR’s very thoughtful answers. As we should all know by now, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (who recently applied for a marriage license here in SoCal) are planning to be married this Saturday April 25 in a ceremony in Pasadena, CA and People magazine is reporting that the couple are also planning a rehearsal dinner for the night before. Speidi were a no-show at the PaleyFest panel of The Hills which was held in Hollywood, CA last night because they were reportedly too bizzy tending to this weekend’s big event. But at least one publication isn’t buying that this latest wedding will be the real deal. In Touch Weekly is reporting that this weekend’s Speidi wedding will be another fake one merely to drum up ratings for The Hills:

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt betrayed their fans when they staged a fake wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in November. Now they’re doing it again — but this time, they’re filming the new phony ceremony for the series finale of The Hills. “It’s all set up by the producers of MTV to get people to watch,” says a source. “It’s just a plot line. They’re not really getting married, of course.” The over-the-top wedding will take place on April 25 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Calif., on a closed set with the entire Hills cast in attendance. Though Heidi and Spencer’s nemesis Lauren Conrad will not be in the wedding, In Touch can confirm exclusively that she will make an appearance. “They want Lauren to do something dramatic,” the source says.

Altho the couple have cried wolf before, I tend to believe that they are serious about getting married this time around. I think they know that another fake wedding would prolly not go over well with the fans that they still have. It also makes sense that they would reserve their real wedding for the series finale of the show that made them stars. That way, they would steal the thunder and the show would end on their note and not anyone else’s. Speidi absolutely belong together … they are the perfect compliment to one another. I really think it’s gonna happen this weekend, y’all … heaven help us all.

A week ago today we learned that Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were planning to get hitched this month on Saturday April 25 … and it turns out that that report was at least half right. Speidi have taken the first important step of tying the knot … Wednesday afternoon, they went to the courthouse to obtain a marriage license. But, while the original report claimed that the couple would be saying I Do on April 25, it turns out that that date is incorrect … according to TMZ, the couple are actually planning to be wed tomorrow:

So now we know why Heidi and Spencer went to the Bev Hills Courthouse on Wednesday. They said they didn’t get a marriage license — pants on fire. We’ve learned that’s exactly what they did. It’s under seal, but it’s real. And they’re getting hitched on Saturday. All invited guests will receive 10 copies of Heidi’s latest single… this part we’re guessing, but it’s a safe bet.

So, yeah … despite the bullshizz they are trying to pass off on this season of MTV’s The Hills (you know, the part about how the couple are teetering on the brink of breaking-up because Spencer has been canoodling with a bartender named Stacie behind Heidi’s back and she ain’t gonna take it anymore?), in actual reality the couple are as happy together as they ever were and are planning to make their union official. While I contend that Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt are the perfect match for one another, they don’t hold a candle to how perfect Heidi and Spencer are for one another. These two absolutely deserve one another and I would bet lots of moolah that they will be together forever. Joined by their equal desire for infamy (which is fueled by their unity and is strongest when they are together), their marriage will withstand the test of time. Altho they ain’t quite hitched yet, I suppose early congrats are in order … right?

Last November we learned the shocking news that Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt had sneaked off to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico for a little vacay and decided to get married while there. For about a month after, we were led to believe that the couple were legally wed altho no marriage license could be found for the couple to confirm the legality of their nuptials. MTV aired the season finale of The Hills and featured the couple’s Mexican honeymoon and Spencer went on the record to contend that his marriage to Heidi was legal … in his mind. It turned out, because the couple failed to legally wed here in the US that their Mexican marriage was not valid and the couple were not married after all. But that was then … this is now. E! News is now reporting that Speidi are planning to be married — for real — here in the US at an undisclosed location in Pasadena, CA on Saturday April 25:

Mark your calendars. E! News has learned exclusively that Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag are set to tie the knot on Saturday, April 25, in an undisclosed location in Pasadena, Calif. “This will be the real wedding,” says a source close to the couple, who last November staged a fake wedding for cameras in Mexico. “It’s being filmed as the season finale for The Hills.”

A rep for the couple declined comment. E! News has learned that the controversial reality couple has already invited about 110 guests to the nuptials, but the list is expected to grow even larger as the wedding date nears. A source says the couple plans to wed in a sunset ceremony and is looking at a rooftop location for a reception. Montag has already picked out her dress and, in fact, at 3 p.m. on Thursday had her final fitting at the Monique Lhuillier boutique in Los Angeles.

Now, just because the couple says that they are going to be legally wed doesn’t necessarily mean that that will be the case. It remains to be seen if the nuptials will be videoed for airing on television but earlier this year Speidi vowed that they would televise their wedding the next time they get married. I suppose it’s possible that the couple are serious about getting married for real … but it is also equally possible that they are crying wolf again just for a little attention. In either case, we’ll know for sure in just about 2 weeks time .. can’t wait!!

After being led to believe that Marc Jacobs secretly married his boyfriend Lorenzo Martone last Summer, we learned just a few weeks ago that the couple have finally officially gotten engaged and are in the process of planning their nuptials (and mebbe adopting a baby girl??). It’s about time someone made an honest woman out of Marc Jacobs. His love life has been rocky and tumultuous (to say the least) in recent years but he has settled down considerably since he met Lorenzo. They make a fine couple and I’m glad to know that they are taking this big step together. Hopefully, after they say their I Dos, the couple really will adopt a little girl (as rumored) … don’t you think they’d make the best 2 days since Greg Evigan and Paul Reiser?
