News broke yesterday that Russell Brand’s attorney filed final divorce papers to end his marriage to Katy Perry on Tuesday. They were married for 14 months and they didn’t have a prenup agreement apparently. TMZ has reported that although Russell could be entitled to 50% of his ex-wife’s money, he will not be going after any of her savings or assets. Read below for more details about this divorce…

After the news yesterday about Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis and the rumors going around about them separating, I was devastated because there are some celeb couples I put on a pedestal, way above the others, because they somehow feel more real, above all celeb gossip and media mayhem. Today I had the same reaction to the rumors about Heidi Klum and Seal getting a divorce. These two are just the sweetest, most adorable, loved-up couple out there… say this isn’t true! It cant be true!?

The Katy Perry-Russell Brand story continues… we learned via Us Mag today that Russell is planning to publish a memoir which reveals all the details about his failed marriage to Katy Perry.

In the final days of 2011, we reported that Katy Perry and Russell Brand are divorcing. Now it seems the couple are actually moving on, physically at least. E-News has pics of moving vans out outside their LA home. How long will it take for the deeper kind of ‘moving on’ to happen?

Because there is no pre-nuptial agreement between Shriver and Schwarzenegger, there will likely be a 50/50 split of assets … which means Maria will likely walk away from her marriage to Arnold with about $200 million. Not a bad parting gift, I’d say.

In mid-October it was reported that Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman decided to split after about 5 years of marriage … a few days later, Xtina formally filed for divorce. Today we learn that the couple’s divorce is officially complete … Eva and Tony are officially dunzo!

Back in March we learned the sad news that Sandra Bullock and hubby Jesse James were dunzo after it came out that the scuzzbag cheated on her while she was away filming The Blind Side last year … in April, we learned that Sandra filed divorce papers so that she could make the break from James as quickly as possible. Today, we learn that the divorce has already been made final … Sandra Bullock and Jesse James are officially dunzo at last:

To be honest, I’m actually surprised that this divorce got finalized so quickly. But that being said, I couldn’t be happier for Sandra. Jesse James is just so vile, he treated her so horribly that she deserves to be detached from him as quickly and as fully as possible. Here’s hoping that she can now move forward and live her life happily and as contently as possible without having to deal with any of the garbage she’s been thru this year due to the actions of her ex-husband. I’m sure she still has much pain to work thru but hopefully this divorce can be a great way for her to move forward in her life.
