A Gender-Neutral Easy Bake Oven Is On The Way!

Last week we learned that a 13-year old girl named McKenna Pope started a petition in the hopes that Hasbro will manufacture a gender-neutral Easy Bake Oven, one that will be marketed to both girls and boys. Today we learn that McKenna was successful and that Hasbro has announced that they will, in fact, manufacture a gender-neutral Easy Bake Oven for both boys and girls. After McKenna met with the toy company, Hasbro issued a statement announcing the forthcoming release of a black and silver oven, perfect for children of both genders :) More »

A US Marine Proposes To His Boyfriend At The White House

Here’s a very happy story that will, hopefully, brighten up all y’all’s day today (especially in light of the horrible tragedies that we’ve been dealing with in the past few weeks and days). Over the weekend U.S. Marine Corps captain Matthew Phelps made a surprise marriage proposal to his boyfriend Ben Schock while they were touring the White House to become the first same-sex couple to get engaged inside the White House. That Phelps is also an active military serviceman just puts icing on the cake. Kate Middleton Makes Her First Public Appearance Since Pregnancy Announcement

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, made her first public appearance in London, England last night since it was announced a couple of weeks ago that she and husband Prince William are pregnant with their first child. The British Royal Family decided that the BBC‘s annual Sports Personality of the Year Awards would be the perfect event for Kate to make the first official appearance of her pregnancy. HMMM. Maybe the fact that David Beckham was also in attendance had something to do with that decision. Back in October we learned which musicians were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and today we learn who got in as the Class of 2013. Artists like Donna Summer, Albert King and Randy Newman are joined by groups like Rush, Public Enemy and Heart … who are joined by non-performing producers like Quincy Jones and Ahmet Ertegun as members of the Rock Hall Class of 2013. Hugh Hefner & Crystal Harris Are Engaged To Be Married . . . Again

Ruh-ro … here we go again. Remember back in June of 2011 when Playboy playmate Crystal Harris left Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner at the altar when she broke off their engagement just days before their wedding was to take place? You may recall that things got kinda nasty in the following days … Harris went on the record to say that she ended things with Hef because he was terrible at sex. The couple remained estranged until February of this year when they met up at a Playboy Mansion party and, apparently, had a change of heart. In June we learned that the couple were a couple again and just this October, they celebrated Hallowe’en together as happy as can be. Today we learn that Hef has asked Crys to marry him … again. She has said yes … again. Let’s see if the pair can make it to the altar, say their I Dos and seal the deal this time. More »

David Beckham & The LA Galaxy Win The 2012 MLS Championship

A couple of weeks ago we learned the bummer news that David Beckham is leaving the LA Galaxy soccer team. At the time, it was announced that the 2012 MLS Championship game — win or lose — would be his last game as a Galaxian. Over the weekend, the Galaxy took on the Houston Dynamo at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA and won by a score of 3-1. This year’s MLS Championship title is the second in a row for the Galaxy … and proved to be the perfect high note for Becks to end his time here in LA as a professional soccer player.
