Congratulations are OFFICIALLY in order for Heidi Klum and hubby Seal who did INDEED welcome the birth of their fourth child, a girl, last Friday. As you may recall, RadarOnline reported exclusively that Heidi gave birth to a baby girl named Lou in the wee hours of Friday the 9th but Klum’s publicist quickly denied the report. It turns out that Radar was wrong about the time of birth but they were right about the day of birth and, more importantly, the baby’s name … so points for them. Heidi and Seal are now officially confirming the birth of their baby daughter, Lou Sulola:

Heidi Klum gave birth to a girl, Lou Samuel, on Oct. 9 in Los Angeles, her rep confirms. She joins siblings Johan, 2 ½, Henry, 4, and Leni, 5. The supermodel’s husband, Seal, released the following statement Monday night:

“It’s difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children,” Seal writes. “Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another? On Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at 7:46 p.m., the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter,” he continues. “Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight. She is beautiful beyond words and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years.”

Yay!! At last, we can extend our love and congrats to the newly expanded family and send them the warmest wishes for little Lou. Seal’s statement is sooo cute … you can tell that he loves his family more than anything else on Earth. I’m very happy for the entire family … much love and congrats again!! I cannot wait to see what darling little Lou looks like :)

Congratulations goes out to President Barack Obama who has just been named the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize recipient at an announcement ceremony in Oslo, Norway by the Norwegian Nobel Committee Head Thorbjoern Jagland. Cited for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy, cooperation between peoples and vision for a world without nuclear weapons” in just the first few months of his presidency, President Obama becomes only the 3rd sitting president to win the Nobel Peace Prize (after Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson). Obama becomes the 4th president to win the Nobel Peace Prize overall (President Jimmy Carter won his award after he left office). US President Barack Obama sensationally won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday just nine months into his term, prompting world leaders to urge him to use the accolade to step up efforts for global peace. The jury hailed Obama’s “extraordinary” efforts in international diplomacy and to hasten nuclear disarmament, but criticism surged quickly over how the award could be given so soon. The US leader, 48, said he was “humbled” by the distinction. “Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world’s attention and given its people hope for a better future,” the Nobel jury said in making the stunning announcement. A gasp went through the Nobel Institute in Oslo as Obama’s name was read out. The committee attached “special importance to Obama’s vision and work for a world without nuclear weapons” and said he had created “a new climate in international politics.” Obama took office on January 20 and has sought to restore US standing after widespread criticism over the war in Iraq and the world superpower’s attitude to efforts to control global warming. The first black American president has brought the Israeli and Palestinian leaders together for a meeting, approved new diplomatic engagement with Iran, Myanmar and North Korea and signalled a new willingness to attack growing environmental problems. Obama went to Cairo to make a major speech on relations with the Muslim world, badly tarnished by President George W. Bush’s order to invade Iraq. At the United Nations, he has launched an initiative to reduce the number of nuclear weapons. The US president was awoken at 6:00 am at the White House by his spokesman to be told of the award. An administration official quoted Obama as saying he felt “humbled”. Obama was honored “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples,” the head of the Norwegian Nobel Committee Thorbjoern Jagland said, adding that it was “a unanimous decision.” The jury said: “Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations,” it said. “Thanks to Obama’s initiative, the US is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic changes the world is confronting.” The committee said it was seeking to encourage Obama’s ideals rather than recognise concrete results. Speaking to AFP, Jagland said: “It was unavoidable to give the prize to the man who has improved the international climate and emphasised negotiations and dialogue. Before he took office the situation was so dangerous. Step by step he has given the message to the world that he wants to negotiate on all conflicts, strengthen the United Nations and work for a world without any nuclear arms.” German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed the award, calling it an “incentive to the president and to us all” to do more for peace.

This is quite an achievement and much congratulations goes out to our President today. Obama seems to instill a vision of hope that resonates beyond our US borders and was clearly recognized by the jury of the Nobel Prize. I fully expect this honor to inspire President Obama to do even more to work towards “strengthening international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples” not only for the duration of his time in office as president but for the rest of his life. Altho the couple have yet to publicly confirm that they are even dating, intimate friends of the couple are divulging that the couple have recently gotten engaged to be married (tho no wedding date is being discussed). In recent weeks, Penélope has been dogged by persistent rumors that she is pregs but her blabby friends insist that the couple are not expecting a baby … they’re just planning to get hitched!

Honestly, I’d hold off any rushing out to get any wedding gifts for these two … considering how fiercely private they have been about their dating life, I’m not sure I believe the couple’s so-called “friends” who insist the couple are engaged. That being said, I really do love these two together … they make a beautiful couple and I would love nothing more than for them to get hitched and start makin’ beautiful Spanish babies ;) Even if the couple are engaged, don’t count on hearing any confirmation at all … I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see if a wedding comes to fruition. Engagements can last years so … don’t hold y’all’s breath just yet.

This past February we learned that longtime paramours Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy got engaged to be wed … today we learn from Life & Style magazine that Clancy went and got married in a private (and apparently unannounced) ceremony earlier this month. I guess congratulations are in order … Claire and Hugh got hitched!

Claire, 30, and Hugh, 34, met over two years ago on the set of Evening in Newport, R.I. The pair announced their engagement in February. “He’s such a cutie patootie,” Claire told BlackBook magazine for its September issue. “While relationships are work, this just didn’t feel like it. It’s the kind of work that feels energizing rather than enervating. I find it very freeing to know that, okay, it takes constant nurturing and attention, but I can also stop looking for the one.”

Yay!! We knew the couple were on the wedding track and considering how private they are in their everyday lives, news of this secret wedding in France comes as no surprise whatsoever. Amazing news to pass along … People magazine is reporting that Sarah Michelle Gellar gave birth to her baby LAST Saturday! As you may recall, I posted photos last Saturday of a heavily pregs SMG making her way to pilates class last Friday and I mentioned that she looked ready to pop at any moment … little did I know how right I was because she actually did pop last Saturday (one day after the most recent pics of SMG out and about in SoCal). SMG and hubby Freddie Prinze, Jr. welcomed the birth of a baby girl named Charlotte Grace!!!

Sarah Michelle Prinze and husband Freddie Prinze Jr. are parents, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. The couple “welcomed their daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze on Saturday, Sept. 19,” says a rep for the actress. “The family is over the moon.” This is the first child for the couple, who revealed that they were expecting back in April. Freddie Prinze Jr. will star on the upcoming season of 24. Sarah Michelle recently changed her last name from Gellar to Prinze.

OMG!!! A GIRL!!!! So many folks thought that SMG was carrying a baby boy but I kinda had a feeling in my gut that she was carrying a baby girl … a Chosen one … she who will RID THE WORLD OF THE SCOURGE OF VAMPIRES … okay, maybe notsomuch … but SMG and FPJ now have a baby girl of their own and I couldn’t be more ecstatic. Charlotte Grace is such a beautiful name. I cannot wait to see what the little darling looks like. It was very sneaky, sneaky of the proud new parents to go and have their baby without telling us right away … but I guess we can forgive them. Congratulations are in order for actress Zooey Deschanel and Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard go ran off and got married over the weekend! According to Deschanel’s rep, the couple decided to tie the knot outside Seattle, WA on Saturday … they went and done got hitched, y’all!!

Five hundred days of summer – plus one day of marriage. Zooey Deschanel, 29, and Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard, 33, tied the knot Saturday night near Seattle, her rep tells PEOPLE. The couple got engaged last year when Gibbard presented Deschanel with a three-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane ring, a source told PEOPLE at the time. Deschanel currently stars in (500) Days of Summer. Gibbard also is in the indie band the Postal Service.

Yes, the reports are very light on deets … all we know for sure is that the happy emo couple got hitched and are now husband and wife. I honestly don’t know much about their relationship other than the fact that after about a year of dating, Zooey and Ben got engaged last December. The seem like a great couple so I wish them nothing but love and many happy years of wedded bliss together!! Congrats!!

News broke the happy news that Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick are expecting twin baby girls this Summer … but SJP won’t be birthin’ the babies herself, the couple will leave that duty to a surrogate mother. The couple already have one child together, a 6 year old son named James Wilkie, so these twins will be adding to their happy family. Split, shmit! Instead of going their separate ways, as has been whispered and denied for weeks, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are pooling their assets yet again. The couple are expecting twin daughters via a surrogate mother. “Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are happily anticipating the birth of their twin daughters later this summer with the generous help of a surrogate,” the actors’ publicists said in a statement. “The entire family is overjoyed.” Parker, 44, and Broderick, 47, also have a son, 6-year-old James Wilkie. A source says that the already proud parents had been trying unsuccessfully to expand their brood for some time. “At a certain point, they were presented with an alternative,” the source says. “They could have kept trying on their own, but they’ve always wanted to have more children and felt this was the best way to go.” The insider says that Parker plans to take some time off after the twins’ arrival—but not much. If all goes according to plan, she intends to start shooting the Sex and the City sequel sometime this summer, as well.

Regarding the filming of the Sex and the City sequel, I understand that the movie will go into production in September … depending on when the babies are born, that should be plenty of time for her to spend time with the young’ns before getting back to work. I am overjoyed at this news. I really love SJP and Matthew together and I sincerely hope that this news will end all of that talk that the couple are splitting up.
