Yesterday we learned that our dear Britney Spears celebrated the end of her Femme Fatale Tour (along with her belated 30th birthday) with a little soirée in Puerto Rico on the eve of her last tour stop there. Today we learn that Brit Brit delivered another stunning concert performance last night, bringing a final end to the Femme Fatale Tour. Our dear Britney Spears may have turned 30 years old last week but she saved her bday celebrations for this week. Britney will perform the final show of her hugely successful Femme Fatale Tour tonight in Puerto Rico but last night she was the guest of honor at an end of tour / belated birthday party bash. Britney shared a photo from last night’s festivities on her official Twitter profile. Check out the fun photo below.

Because of a really tight schedule yesterday, I didn’t have much time to get much work done … and absolutely no time to write up a TV Guide post … so today’s post will be a bit of a wrap up post. As you may recall, Sarah and I got to see Tori Amos live in concert for her second NYC show on Saturday night … then afterward, we met up with David’s sister Eden and her friends for some late night birthday drinks. Yesterday morning, we made our way down to China Town for a Dim Sum birthday brunch and then … it was time for David and me to fly home.

Yesterday we saw video of our dear Britney Spears delivering an introduction to kick off Teleton México 2011 on the night before she was due to perform a FREE concert in Mexico City on Sunday. Today we get to check out a cool photo that Britney shared with her legion of followers on Twitter that was snapped just before she took the stage. Britney‘s outdoor concert, which was staged in conjunction with the Mexican government, was attended by a massive audience that came out to see the FREE show … click below to see just how massive the audience in Mexico City turned out to be.

Yesterday was a pretty amazing, very powerful day for me. Sarah and I, first, paid a visit to The National September 11 Memorial in lower Manhattan and then we met up with friends Halli and Johanna at the Beacon Theater to see Tori Amos perform her first of two concerts here in NYC. The memorial visit was kind of last minute but it was well worth our time. The Tori concert was glorious, as ever. It was a really special day for all of us.

So … OMG … after I got to see The Cure live in concert last Monday on the first night of the US leg of their Reflections Tour, I thought for sure I had seen the best Cure concert of all time. It turns out that I was wrong. Because after I got to see The Cure live in concert again last night, I know for a fact that last night’s show as a wee bit better than the one I saw last week. To be honest, I did not plan on seeing The Cure here in NYC because the shows sold out in minutes. But David’s sister Eden is a big Cure fan with a birthday coming up and I decided to see what aftermarket ticket options were available. Long story short, we found 4th row seats for a very reasonable price! And let me tell you, being that close to the stage really makes for a much more enjoyable concert experience.

So … last night I was able to see Morrissey in concert … for which I am VERY grateful. You see, Moz is scheduled to play 3 LA area concerts in the coming days but I will not be able to attend any of them because I will be flying back east to Connecticut to spend Thanksgiving with David’s entire family. Fortunately, Moz scheduled a show 2 hours South of LA in Escondido, CA last night … and that was the show I got to see. Now, a 4 hour round trip drive prolly sounds like a lot but back in the day, I used to make the 4 hour drive EACH WAY from Detroit to Toronto AND Detroit to Chicago to see my fave bands in concert. Last night’s trek was nothing … and let me tell you, it was well worth the drive.

So … let me tell you about my night last night. My dear friend Angie and I decided to celebrate her birthday at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, CA at a special concert performance by none other than The Cure. The band is performing a 3 night stint here in LA on their Reflections Tour where each night they perform their first 3 albums in full — Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds and Faith. Last night was night 1 of the 3 night residency and without being too hyperbolic, it was one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen in my life.

Last night I was among the lucky few folks here in LA that was able to attend the Pixies concert at The Music Box in Hollywood, CA. As you may know, The Pixies are currently on the Lost Cities Tour where they are performing in cities they’ve never played in before. Thankfully for us Los Angelinos, they decided to add an LA show along the way. Now, I’ve seen The Music Box full to sold out capacity but last night’s Pixies show was EVEN MORE FULL than I had ever seen it before. Yes, folks, it was one of those epically amazing nights.

I’M SEEING THE PIXIES TONIGHT !!!!!! Yeah, I’m not sure what you are doing tonight but I will be among the lucky few here in LA who will be at the Pixies show at the Music Box in Hollywood, CA. I am really excited … and glad I snapped up tix as soon as they went on sale. The next few days will be full of great shows for me … Pixies tonight, The Cure on Monday and Morrissey on Tuesday … couldn’t you just die? But … first up, THE PIXIES !!! Weee!!!
