Cher & Costume Designer Bob Mackie Are Dunzo!

"Telling you something that has broken my heart"

Very, very sad news to pass along today … legendary BFFs Cher and Bob Mackie, who have been collaborating on fabulous costumes and fashions since 1972, are dunzo. Finit. Caput. Cher, as you may know, is heading out on a new concert tour this year called the Dressed to Kill Tour which she says will be her last, ever. She tells us that she reached out to Mackie as she has for the past 42 years to have him design the costumes for her tour and he flat out refused to work with her due to, he says, other obligations. Cher shared the sad news on her official Twitter profile yesterday and Bob Mackie issued a statement in response. Click below to read what she said/he said about the pair’s professional split. Watch: Miley Cyrus Goes On An Expletive-Laden Rant On The Concert Stage

But she did so for a good cause

Miley Cyrus has been doing some controversial (and very gross) things on stage during her BANGERZ Tour as it rolls across the country but today we learn that she actually did something kinda cool during her stop in Dallas, TX this week. Apparently, Miley noticed that security at the concert venue laid the smackdown on a fan who was taking photos during her show. Seeing her fan get harassed by the popo did not sit well with her so she launched into a rant from the stage that was recorded by a different fan in the audience who wasn’t getting harassed by security for taking photos. Click below to watch video of Miley boldly standing up for fans’ concert rights. More »

Skinny Puppy Invades LA

The TV Guide

Yesterday evening I got to hang out with Tamar for a showing of The LEGO Movie even tho I had already seen it with my friend Courtney a few weeks ago. Tam had yet to see it and I wanted to spend time with Tam so it was win/win for both of us. I loved the movie just as much as I did when I originally saw it so I can attest that the movie is worth multiple viewings. After the movie, I made my way to The Mayan Theater in downtown LA to see the industrial band Skinny Puppy live in concert. I’ve been a fan of SP for many, many years and it’s been quite a few years since I last saw them in concert so … yeah, I was really excited to see them live again. More »

Watch: Bruce Springsteen Performs ‘Royals’ By Lorde In New Zealand

"I rule in my fantasy"
You can call him 'Queen Bee'

The legendary Bruce Springsteen performed a concert at the Mt. Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand last night (well tonight there, last night here) and he decided to pay homage to one of New Zealand’s own by performing a cover of Lorde‘s world-wide smash hit single Royals. Yes, Bruce covered Lorde … as only Bruce can do. Naturally, he amended the lyrics a little bit to suit his needs but for the most part, he did his best to pay tribute to Lorde‘s Grammy award-winning song … much to her glee, I’m sure. Click the embed above to watch Bruce‘s cover of Royals and see what you think of his take on Lorde‘s song. As far as compliments go, this seems like a pretty significant one … I’m quite certain that Lorde is pretty pleased with herself right now :)

Watch: Drake Brings Kanye West On Stage In Germany For A Performance Of ‘Black Skinhead’

"This is the mentor, this is the God, this is the genius of all geniuses"
"This is the man that is Kanye motherfucking West”

Earlier this week we learned that Drake brought out on stage his ladyfriend/possible love interest Rihanna for a duet performance of their song Take Care in Paris, France. Last night, Drake brought out another BFF for a special surprise performance during his Would You Like A Tour? Tour, this time in Berlin, Germany. None other than BFF Kanye West came out for a special performance of his song Black Skinhead, much to the audience’s ecstatic glee. As you can hear in the video embedded above, Drake had a lot of really great things to say about Kanye before Yeezy launched into his performance. Check out the performance and see what you think. It’s clear to me that these two guys have a pretty ride or die friendship … which is really nice to see among men, don’t you think?

These Two
Quelle Surprise

Fans in attendance at Drake‘s concert at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris, France last night got a special surprise treat when Rihanna came out on stage to perform her duet Take Care with Drizzy. The pair (who have long been rumored to be romantically linked and were just spotted at a nightclub together in Paris Monday night) just so happened to both be in Paris at the same time so they thought it might be neat to perform together in order to drive the crowd wild. Check out the video above to watch Drake and Ri Ri do the damn thing together last night. Do you think these two are together together or is it more likely they’ve got a friends with benefits situation going on? Friends or more than friends?

Cibo Matto Returns, Thoroughly Slays LA

The TV Guide

Last night I made my way to the El Rey Theater to see the amazing band Cibo Matto live on stage for the first time since 1998. I heard a few weeks ago that Cibo Matto was releasing a new album and when I found out that they would be playing LA on tour, I knew I had to see them live. Honestly, I had forgotten how great their music was but last night’s show, chock full of their greatest hits and select new songs, not only took me back but reminded me how much I’ve missed them! Click below to see a few photos and a couple of short Instagram videos from the show last night and get a tiny taste of what their live experience is like. More »
