A few days ago we heard the HAPPY news that Maggie Gyllenhaal gave birth to her second baby, a daughter for hubby Peter Sarsagaard on April 19th. Gloria Ray Gyllenhaal-Sarsgaard is only 2 weeks old and already she is out and about in New York City taking a stroll with her parents. Today we have the FIRST sighting of the blessed newborn, and her beautiful mom.

In March we heard that Nicole Kidman had replaced Rachel Weisz as Colin Firth’s wife in The Railway Man. Today we have the first pics from the movie set, and Nic is there with real life hubby, Keith Urban and their eldest daughter Sunday Rose. They are shooting in St Monans, in the UK. Nic looks every bit the war-time wife… check out her new look.

Earlier today, we learned that actress Scarlett Johansson was honored with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday … but homegirl has also been working hard being an actual star. Back in March we learned that ScarJo won the role of Janet Leigh in the upcoming biopic Hitchcock … today we get our first look at her on the set of the film. Now that Jessica Simpson has finally birthed her baby, some folks want to know who has the biggest baby bump in Hollywood. Actually, only one person is asking that question … and that person is Alyson herself. Aly tweeted this week about her growing bump and was snapped out and about on a shopping excursion for a breast pump. Dear sweet Aly is in the midst of a full on Bump Watch, y’all.

Scarlett Johansson, star of stage and screen, was honored here in SoCal yesterday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Scarlett was presented with the 2,470th star on the Walk of Fame in front of family, friends and fans. As you may know, ScarJo stars in the blockbuster superhero film The Avengers, which opens in theaters tomorrow, so her WoF ceremony yesterday was perfectly timed to promote. Drew Barrymore surfaced earlier this week at a photo shoot at The Huntington Library in San Marino, California. Dressed in a pretty floral dress, belted at the waist, it really accentuated her growing baby bump. Now, ever since we first saw that pic of her with a sonogram, we seem convinced that she is pregnant, BUT, it hasn’t actually been officially 100% confirmed yet. These pics seem obviously pointing to the fact that Drew is pregs IMHO, and she is glowing and gorgeous, but I guess we can’t say for sure because we haven’t heard it officially, right? There are numerous reasons to love Britney Spears, why, I could devote the rest of my life to listing them in full … but I shant … well, not all at once. Today we get to check out a fan shot photograph of our dear Britney picking up some fast food at a local McDonald’s restaurant here in SoCal. There aren’t many things that I love more than Britney … but my love for McD’s is close (whatever, sue me) … that is why the photo below of Britney AT McDonald’s is just my favorite thing about today.

After being pregnant for roughly 45 years, Jessica Simpson is FINALLY ready to bring forth the fruit of her loins and give birth to her baby. Members of Jessica‘s family, including mom Tina and sister Ashlee, were spotted at a hospital here in LA last night/this morning with members of babydaddy Eric Johnson‘s family. If they are at the hospital, Jessica is at the hospital … and you know what that means. Let’s just hope her labor doesn’t take another 45 years.

You’d think a big star like Josh Hutcherson, from The Hunger Games among other films, would be a big enough hot shot to buy his booze without having to resort to using a fake ID BUT, because the young actor is only 19, well, he does have to be more inventive when shopping here in the US for alcohol. A few days ago, Hutcherson was snapped by the paps walking out of a Ralph’s grocery store with a big ol’ bottle of booze and it was discovered that he used a fake ID to make the purchase! Naughty, naughty.

A few days ago we heard the gorgeous news that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renewed their wedding vows atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Today the newlywed Mr and Mrs Cannon have reappeared in Paris leaving their hotel, on their way to Austria, where Mariah is performing at the high profile ski resort of Ischgl, in the Austrian Tirol today. MC will be performing right about NOW on the top of the mountain in Ischgl to mark the closing concert of this winter season. The ski resort is known for bringing huge stars to this tradition, and today is no exception.
