Gross UGGs or not, she looks fantastic … well, mostly. Sure, her ratty weave looks like it’s never met a brush but I still love her to death. This is the Britney we know and love from the days of the reign of the Hollywood “It” Girl. As long as she keeps from going barefoot, I’m totally on board with her daily outings. She can step out with or without Jason … it’s all the same to me. I’m thinkin’ we may be seeing a lot of Britney Spears as the Spring and Summer progresses :)

She’s been by her injured husband’s side all week playing the doting wife. But today Victoria Beckham was headed back to Los Angeles, leaving stricken David at their British ‘Beckingham Palace’ mansion in Hertfordshire. David, currently on loan to A.C. Milan, is recuperating there after her tore his Achilles tendon on Sunday during the Italian team’s win over Chievo. His dreams of playing in the World Cup this summer are almost certainly over and his recovery will take months. Earlier today a downbeat Victoria was spotted stalking through Heathrow Airport to catch her flight back to LA where children Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are. Normally Victoria, 35, would probably be pleased to be getting back to her California life – but with her husband unable to accompany her, no doubt she was feeling a little torn.

Yes, VB sure looks glum in the photo … but it’s hard to tell if she’s really bummed to be leaving Becks or if she’s just wearing her usual sour puss face for the paparazzi. In any event … she’ll be back here in LA shortly while Becks rests in the motherland of England.

Incidentally, I wonder if either Posh or Becks have gotten around to reading that poem written about him by the UK’s poet laureate? I’m guessing they have … and have already had it framed for hanging in their home ;)

She’s been operating under the radar since her world tour came to an end last year, but Britney Spears has been spotted this week indulging in her favourite pastime…shopping. The pop star, 28, hit Sunset Boulevard to indulge in some new outfits – one of which she liked so much she decided to wear it out of the shop. Sadly for Miss Spears she neglected to remove the price tags on her newly purchased garments, making for an embarrassing faux pas. The Toxic singer was first seen wearing a tight-fitting pink dress with tights and black knee-length boots. She spent some time shopping in Sunset Plaza, where she picked up a new white vest top and a pair of short, patterned knickerbockers – which she left the price tag on. As she left the West Hollywood store Britney unclipped her bedraggled hair, looking distinctly unkempt. Obviously benefitting from her gym regime, Spears appeared to have bulked up in the months since her Circus tour ended last December. Her biceps and thighs in particular appearing muscular and toned … and, as per usual, she didn’t wear a bra. According to witnesses the singer held her stomach repeatedly during the trip, although it is not clear why she was doing this.

Of course now that there are reports that Britney Spears was touching her stomach the inevitable pregnancy rumors are bound to start going around. In any event, I can understand why Britney would choose to change outfits mid-shopping … it was hot here in SoCal yesterday, y’all. She was obvs too dressed for the heat so she needed something cooler. As for the price tags, well, she can always return her new purchases should she decide not to keep them … and don’t lie, you know YOU’VE done that at least once in your lives ;) Do your thang, Britney! I still lurve ya!

Sarah Jessica Parker has always claimed her real-life dress sense is nothing like her Sex And The City character Carrie Bradshaw. But as she arrived at an event in Las Vegas to promote the upcoming movie sequel yesterday, Parker opted for a dress her fashionista alter-ego would have loved. The 44-year-old actress showed off her toned legs in an asymmetrical yellow mini-dress and nude coloured heels as she joined co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon at Warner Bros. ShoWest Presentation at the Paris Hotel. Missing out on all the fun was Kim Cattrall, who is currently starring in the London production of the Noel Coward play Private Lives. Instead Parker was joined by Davis and Nixon, who opted for equally eye-catching dresses. Nixon, 43, wore a brown, purple and beige shift dress, while Davis, 45, went for a rose-print pleated number. Nixon said fans shouldn’t expect to see the foursome getting up to their old tricks from the TV series. She said: ‘One of the things that has kept it so strong is that (writer-director) Michael Patrick King doesn’t try to take us through the same thing because it worked so well the last time. If we stayed the same, going out and drinking and having sex, we would turn into Absolutely Fabulous, which is not what we are. He has allowed us to age, and the audience has allowed us to come along for the ride.’ Later the three actresses glammed up for the ShoWest Final Night Talent Awards event where they were presented with an award for Best Ensemble cast in a film.

Nu Image/Millennium Films has completed the cast for “Conan,” adding Rose McGowan, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Said Taghmaoui and Leo Howard to star alongside Jason Momoa. Marcus Nispel began lensing Monday at Nu Boyana Studios, Nu Image’s facility in Sofia, Bulgaria. The film will be released domestically by Lionsgate. Based on the Robert E. Howard books, the film is written by Thomas Dean Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer, Sean Hood and Andrew Lobel and centers on the mythical hero driven to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village. Lang will portray a sadistic warlord, and McGowan is to play an evil half-human/half-witch. Howard appears as young Conan, and Perlman portrays Conan’s father. The film’s produced by Avi Lerner, Boaz Davidson, Joe Gatta and Fredrik Malmberg. Exec producers are Danny Dimbort, Trevor Short, George Furla and Henry Winterstern. The project’s been in development for a decade; Paradox had set it up at Warner Bros. but decided against a new rights deal three years ago and went to Nu Image instead.

While I PERSONALLY think that Kellan Lutz would make a better Conan the Barbarian, I’m willing to give Jason Momoa a chance at winning me over. I’m so pleased that Rose is part of the cast that I will DEFFO be seeing this film when it gets released. Incidentally, Charmed season 4 has just begun re-running on TNT TV this week and I’ve started gettin’ my McGowan fix again. It’ll be really fun to see her in a new movie … I can’t wait!!

In an act of civil disobedience, Lt. Dan Choi and Jim Pietrangelo have been arrested at the White House gates on Thursday while protesting the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Following a Human Rights Campaign rally for DADT repeal in Washington earlier today, Choi and Pietrangelo led about 100 protesters to the White House, where the two then proceeded to handcuff themselves to the gates. Choi was speaking at the HRC rally at Freedom Plaza when he asked the group’s executive director, Joe Solmonese, if he would also march to the White House. Pietrangelo was discharged from the military under DADT, while Choi’s discharge is pending. Choi is the founder of Knights Out, a West Point alumni organization supporting LGBT soldiers. “You’ve been told that the White House has a plan,” Choi told rally attendees. “But we learned this week that the president is still not fully committed. … Following this rally, I will be leading [the protest] to the White House to say ‘enough talk.’ … I am still standing, I am still fighting, I am still speaking out, and I am still gay.” Police officers had blocked the gates of the White House with yellow tape and pushed back the protesters, who were chanting DADT repeal slogans and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Kathy Griffin, who was in Washington at the behest of HRC to meet with members of Congress about DADT repeal, was also at the rally. When asked by Choi if she would march with him to the White House, Griffin responded, “Of course!” Neither Griffin nor Solmonese was seen at the White House protest, however. The HRC has released the following statement on the rally: “Today more than 1,000 people showed up at a rally — 500 of which signed up to become more involved in the fight to repeal ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ Joe Solmonese along with [gay Iraq war veteran] Eric Alva and others felt it was important to stay and engage those at the rally in ways they can continue building the pressure needed for repeal. This does nothing to diminish the actions taken by Lt. Choi and others. This is the nature of social change and everyone has a role to play.” Gay rights activist Robin McGehee was also arrested after she had apparently helped the two discharged soldiers handcuff themselves to the fence. An officer who arrested McGehee said “I can’t say anything” on why she was taken into custody.

Clearly, Lt. Choi — who has been speaking out on the repeal of DADT for many months now — felt that this act of civil disobedience was the only way to make sure his message is heard. It’s acts of protest like this that make up much of the US history of civil rights and I can’t help but be impressed by the commitment it takes to take a stand like this for the greater good. It is far too soon to tell if today’s protest will have any effect on whether or not the DADT policy gets repealed but today’s protest will surely go down in the annals of the history of gay rights in this country. I sincerely hope that Choi’s efforts today will result in the eventual repeal of the DADT policy. We’ll just have to see if the powers that be will respond favorably. Rumours Britney Spears has split from her boyfriend Jason Trawick have been widely circulating on the internet in recent weeks. Trawick was said to have pledged to continue working as the pop star’s agent, following the breakdown of their year-long romance. But as the two went shopping yesterday their relationship appeared more than just business. They walked hand-in-hand, with Trawick keeping the 28-year-old protectively behind him. Despite the close body language Britney didn’t look happy, with a glum expression on her face. The mother-of-two’s outfit contrasted with her frown – she wore a playful crown on her head, before swapping this for a pair of Minnie Mouse ears as she shopped. The pair visited Barney’s Of New York in Beverly Hills, before then heading to Party World in Encino.

It seems like we hear about Britwick breaking up every other week … and yet, they still remain happily together. As always, I’m happy to see these two enjoying one another’s company and I hope they will continue to remain happily together. Long live Britwick!!

What do LA-ers do on a Saturday night when they get tired of bar hopping and searching for the Kogi taco truck? They throw a house party! This past Saturday my roommates (Serious ‘Stache contributors) and I decided to open our Beachwood Canyon abode to neighbors, friends, and apparently, Kiefer Sutherland. That’s the beauty of Los Angeles; you never know which inebriated movie star will totter through your door– even if it is 4am and you are the only one left standing, cleaning beer cans and cigarette butts off the floor. Kief walked in looking for a wild rager, only to find me in all my glory, knee deep in trash and clad in flannel pajama pants from 1997. Word travels fast in Hollywood, but not quite fast enough for Old Kief to make it to the party on time. He was kind enough to bring a bottle of Jameson with him (it’s always polite to bring some alcohol to the party.) I’ve gotta say, Kiefer turned out to be one hot fox and a very nice guy. He took time to chat with everyone (he’s sociable), complimented the house decor (he’s courteous), he offered me a swig from his bottle (he’s giving), and let me take a few iphone photos for my mom (she loves 24). He also has a way with words, because as he was leaving he told me (and I quote) that he would “like to maul me like a Russian bear. Like. From that one movie. About a Russian. And a bear.” I don’t know exactly what that means, but I will definitely take it from Jack Bauer.

LOL!! Oh Kiefer … you truly are quite the party animal, you cad. While I’m a bit bothered by the fact that Kiefer still seems to have control issues when it comes to consuming alcohol (a problem that has gotten him in trouble many times before), I’m glad to know that he is a kind party guest (even at 4AM). I don’t know what I would do if Kiefer Sutherland crashed a party at my house but I would hope that it would go down like this scenario here. Much love to the folks at Serious ‘Stache for the head’s up on this AWESOME tale! It sounds like YOUR parties are the kind that I’d love to attend ;)
