Heidi Klum Launches ‘Very Sexy Make-up’

Heidi Klum made an in-store appearance at the Victoria’s Secret shop at The Grove here in LA Thursday for the launch of her new line of Very Sexy Make-up that is being sold for a limited time exclusively at VS stores (and online) around the country. Heidi donned a cute pair of fairy wings for the event … here are a few pics:

Anyone who knows anything about Heidi Klum knows that she is a big fan of Halloween so I’m not at all surprised that she wanted to play a little dress-up for this event. Now, I have no idea whether folks may be interested in procuring her line of make-up products merely because her name is attached to them but I am well aware that celebrity-branded fragrances tend to sell well so … why not? I’m not sure if wearing Very Sexy Make-up will make you look as hawt as Heidi Klum but for a reasonable price you can find out … if you dare.

One year is enough
Heidi Montag’s Fashion Line Is Dunzo!

Sad news for fans of Heidi Montag‘s line of clothing called Heidiwood … it turns out that Anchor Blue, the design house/discount clothing chain that created/carried Heidi‘s collection, has pulled the plug on the line and opted out of extending their contract to produce and carry the clothes. That’s it, y’all … time to pour one out and send a hearty Peace the Spork Out to Heidiwood:

Heidi Montag’s clothing line, Heidiwood, is no more. Anchor Blue spokeswoman Marla White tells us the label will not renew its contract with Heidi. She said contrary to reports that the line had been discontinued, the contract was only one year long and they were happy to leave it at that. “We just felt that the one year was a great year for both of us, and we’re looking into other options,” she explained. “We really found that we want to explore … what style really means to our girl … and that doesn’t necessarily mean a celebrity brand. It really means fashion and comfort, and we can really accomplish that with our own brand … We’re taking a completely new style direction and we’re very, very excited about it.”

No word yet from Ms. Montag on this development but I suspect she and her partner in crime Spencer Pratt have already plotted a new course of world domination. This news has to sting just a little, especially in light of the fact that her nemesis Lauren LC Conrad just showed her second clothing collection at LA Fashion Week just last week. Ouch! I, for one, will never forget the first time I laid my eyes on the Heidiwood line … it doesn’t seem like it was that long ago … er, mebbe cuz it was just this past April. And WHO could forget the Heidiwood: Club Collection?! And now … it is all … no more. This is very sad news, y’all. Where are young women to turn if they ever need to procure zebra print tube tops and micro short shorts? Back to the racks at Forever 21 for those poor souls. Devastating news.

Becks takes his product endorsement in a different direction
David Beckham’s Latest Fish Schtick

David Beckham, who has endorsed products as varied as Emporio Armani Underwear and Sharpie markers, has added a new product line to his endorsement empire — fish sticks. You may recall that a report came out in July that claimed that Becks‘s paid use of GO3 fish oil vitamins was causing a bit of a stink in his romantic life with wife Vicki B. It would seem that Becks‘s affiliation with the GO3 company has moved on to a new phase … they are the creators of this new “health food” product line that Becks was on hand to launch at Wembley Stadium in London this week:

Another day, another product launch for David Beckham. Fresh from helping England to victory in Belarus, the soccer star was performing at Wembley Stadium, where he launched a new healthy food range. Clutching a plate full of fish fingers, the LA Galaxy player waxed lyrical about the importance of healthy eating as he launched the GO3 range. The sports ace was joined by 250 children, who had been let out of school for a few hours, for the high-profile launch at the north west London stadium. Beckham has lent his face and signature to the brand, which has been made by Findus – who have a partnership deal with the English FA – and includes pasta, wraps and omelettes. Beckham has been blamed in the past for the rise in child obesity in the UK after appearing in ads for brands like Pepsi and Walkers crisps. He said: “As a Dad I know how hard it is to get kids to eat the right things. I also know as a footballer, how important it is to eat the right things to perform well, so I think the GO3 range is a great way to help families take some small steps to be fit and healthy at affordable prices.”

Er … I know that I’ve said previously that David Beckham could sell me anything … but I think that even *I* would have to draw the line at fish sticks. I was never really on board with those fish oil vitamins and this kinda just seals the deal for me. While I can appreciate that the fine folks at GO3 have prolly dumped a whole lotta cash in Becks‘s lap to endorse their products, I think I would have to take a total pass on any of these fishy products. Get the man back in a pair of those skimpy Armani undies and then put a fish stick in his hand and then mebbe we can talk. Until then … no thanks.

Vicki B. Takes dVb To Germany

Vicki B., who was lookin’ very puritanical as she made her way thru LAX Airport earlier this week, showed up in Dusseldorf, Germany earlier today to do an in-store appearance at Jades boutique for her dVb Denim line. On this occasion, Posh ditched the pilgrim look and decided to go for something more … masculine:

She is one of Britain’s most influential clothes horses, but Victoria Beckham’s latest ensemble may not prove a runaway success on the High Street. The former Spice Girl arrived for the launch of her new A/W dVb 08 denim collection wearing a satin-fitted, collarless tuxedo jacket with a matching waistcoat and a black tie … but no shirt. She paraded the bizarre look in front of bemused onlookers at Jades boutique in Dusseldorf, Germany. Victoria is currently on a European sojourn from Los Angeles, where she’s based with husband David and their three sons.

See, now this look looks Posh to me. With her short pixie haircut and her angular frame, she looks really amazing in this pants suit outfit. Granted, I really think her dVb Denim line is too overhyped (especially for poorly it has sold in the past) but I gotta give it up to the robotic one … she looks smokin’ in these photos. I’m really feelin’ this look on her … what do y’all think?

The leggings just won't die
Lindsay Lohan Launches 6126

Lindsay Lohan was on hand for an in-store launch appearance at the Henri Bendel boutique in NYC last night for the launch of her line of leggings called 6126 (named after the birth date of Marilyn Monroe). Other celebrity luminaries were also on hand for last night’s leggings launch … including Dina Lohan and Ali Lohan … er, that’s it. Here are a few pics from the 6126 launch event last night:

L. Lo got herself a whole new messa hair for the launch event last night. It looks like she decided to wear two weaves just for the occasion. In any event, this leggings line is an endeavor near and dear to Lindsay‘s heart. She arguably single-handedly is responsible for making leggings a very successful fashion trend in Hollywood (much to my chagrin) and never wavered from her intense championing of the look. Now that she is able to design and market her own line of leggings, I’m sure she will remain steadfast in her lurve for the trend. Whether or not ladies will choose to pay top dollar for Lindsay‘s leggings is yet unknown (especially when they can just as easily pick up a pair of almost identical leggings at Target, Marshalls, TJ Max, etc.) but I suppose congrats are in order for Lindsay‘s entrepreneurial spirit. Oh yeah and someone might want to let Linds know that the leggings that she’s wearing seem to have a little hole in them.

Mel B. Becomes Sporty Spice

Melanie Brown, the artist formerly known as Scary Spice, is venturing into Sporty Spice territory with the release of her new work-out video titled Totally Fit: Mel B. Due to hit stores on Boxing Day in the UK (December 26), Mel‘s new work-out video is her latest attempt to stay relevant in the minds of those who may be losing interest in her since the end of the Spice Girls Reunion Tour early this year and her stint on Dancing with the Stars before that. The former Spice Girl is launching a new and exciting fitness DVD called Totally Fit: Mel B. The three-disc workout, a 23-day slim plan, will help others get a super bod like hers for the new year. And as well as showing others how to look gorgeous, the mum-of-two looks pretty special herself in the DVD. Check out the super star in action … crunching and stretching her way to slim-success. Out on Boxing Day, the plan includes a 60 minute do-at-home fitness class and four 10 minute workouts plus a nutritional guide to get you healthy snacking – perfect for a post-Christmas detox!

No question, Mel B. looks sensational in these screencaps. It would appear that if you want to look as good as Mel B. does, all you have to do is follow her 23-day work-out plan to get “totally fit”. I’m not sure how well this work-out DVD will fare in the UK but I don’t suppose it has the same chance of success (if any) here in the US. At best, folks on this side of the pond remember her most recently from Dancing with the Stars but I don’t really think that she has enough recognition to sell these sorts of DVDs here in the States. Her most recent attempt to capture the hearts of Americans came in the form of the very short-lived series The Singing Office which aired briefly on TLC early in the Summer. Even still, I must applaud the Scary one for her zealous attempts to keep workin’ as best she can. Are any of y’all interested in working out with Mel B. and her DVD?

Britney Spears To Release ‘Hidden Fantasy’ Fragrance

Last night we learned that MTV will be presenting a 90-minute documentary on Britney Spears titled Britney Spears: For the Record which will air on the network on November 30 … and there is more good news to be had from our dear Britney today as well. Fans of her fragrances have reason to celebrate as the first promo photos of Britney‘s latest fragrance, Hidden Fantasy, have made their way to the Interweb. Here is look at one of the promo photos for the new scent as well as a description of the fragrance from BreatheHeavy.com:

The perfume is a cherry-themed spinoff fragrance of the original perfume simply titled “Fantasy,” and insider reveals exclusively to BreatheHeavy.com. According to the source, “The bottle of Hidden Fantasy is the same as the previous two, only difference is the color red on it. The perfume has a cherry scent with a hint of vanilla.” BreatheHeavy.com can also exclusively confirm that Britney shot new promos for the new fragrance during her stay in New York City last week! The photo [featuring Britney] is an outtake from Britney’s 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour shoot by photographers Markus Klinko & Indrani. Our source continues to say that the fragrance is scheduled for a December release, which will coincide with Britney’s album launch for “Circus,” her 6th studio album. Britney has released several other perfumes with Elizabeth Arden before, including Curious, Fantasy, In Control Curious, Midnight Fantasy, Curious Heart, Believe, and now Hidden Fantasy.

Now, I’m not particularly a fan of Britney‘s fragrances but I can appreciate that the girl needs to make some of the money she’s been bleeding over the past few years back so I wholly support any new endeavor she takes on to make money again. Jennifer Lopez Wants Dudes To Smell Like Her

Last Friday afternoon, David and Victoria Beckham descended upon Macy’s Department Store in NYC to do some in-store promo work for their new male and female fragrances called Signature. Now it’s Jennifer Lopez‘s turn … but while Les Beckhams managed to whip up a massive crowd of fans, J. Lo … well … didn’t. Here are a few pics of J. Lo at Macy’s in Herald Square promoting her new men’s fragrance Deseo Men:

OY … all these celebrity fragrances, it’s really becoming a bit much, don’t y’all think? I mean, I dunno who the target market is for a J. Lo fragrance for men. I, for one, would rather choose a fragrance from a known designer rather than a concoction whipped up by a celeb (which is really giving the celeb too much credit, all they really do is offer suggestions, then approve the final product) … but I suppose there are all types of people. I can’t imagine that revealing that one is wearing a J. Lo fragrance (especially a dude) will do much to curry favor for that person (especially if he is mackin’ on someone else — female or male) but … what do I know. Do any of y’all think you’d like your men smellin’ like Jennifer Lopez?

‘Do You Believe In Fairy Tales?’

Paris Hilton is at it again … here is the first promo ad for her 5th, that’s right 5th, celebrity fragrance called Fairy Dust. Now, I dunno why any one person needs to have 5 smells on the market but … here you have it, Fairy Dust by Paris Hilton:

Paris Hilton’s fifth addition to her fragrance empire, Fairy Dust, won’t be hitting stores until the middle of next month, but the reality star is giving PEOPLE an exclusive first look at the new images from her print campaign. The ads for the pink peony, orange blossom, gardenia and vanilla creme scent feature a winged, wand-wielding Paris playing a real-life fairy, and ask, “Do you believe in fairy tales?”

Not that I’ve actually smelled any of them but of Paris‘s now numerous smells, I quite like the ad campaign for this one. I must admit, I do vastly prefer the promo ad campaign for Britney Spears‘s fragrance Fantasy (which looks similar to this ad campaign), I think this is a good way for Paris to go. That Can Can thing she tried with her last fragrance didn’t do it for me. Still … can Paris Hilton pull off the innocent fairy thing? Does this ad campaign resonate with any of y’all?

Les Beckhams Launch ‘Signature’ Scents In NYC

David and Victoria Beckham descended upon Manhattan yesterday to make an in-store appearance at Macy’s Department Store here in NYC in order to officially launch their new male & female fragrances called Signature here in the US. You may recall that Vicki B. made an in-store appearance at Harvey Nichols in Manchester, UK at the end of August to launch her fragrance there. Here are a few pics of Les Beckhams making their grand arrival at Macy’s here in NYC yesterday afternoon from afar:

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of seeing Becks in a suit … the man just looks so good when he’s all dolled up like this. The only thing I like better is Becks wearing pretty much nothing at all — but, if he’s gonna wear clothes, I really like the suits. I must admit, VB looks pretty good here as well. I kinda dig the dress … it’s got an interesting design (tho, I doubt it’s one of her designs) … and I really like the rubber tights. They look like the shiny, rubber tights that Tori Amos wore some nights of her American Doll Posse World Tour last year. Of course, she still looks like a robot … but I like what the tin lady is wearing at least ;)

After their in-store appearance, the couple made their way to the trendy Waverly Inn for a late night bite to eat, here are pics of Les Beckhams making their grand exit from the eatery:

While it would’ve been nice to have an up-close and personal encounter with these two, it was just as I suspected … a full-on madhouse frenzy from start to finish. With all the rain here in NY yesterday, well, I just didn’t want to deal with the hassle. I’m sure the folks that made their way out to Macy’s to see DB and VB had fun … I’m totally content with just the pics.

Incidentally, I’m curious as to what Signature Male smells like … I’m not too keen on Becks‘s previous male fragrance, Instinct, but this one … I might have to give it a sniff … I still have this hope that they are able to bottle what Becks really smells like and sell it. MMMM, doesn’t that sound nice?
