Coupled with some clever stats, this new escort ad features a few sexy cameraphone photos of Mr. Shears in almost all his glory … behold:

How’s this for the power of Rentboy? The site has become so popular that major label artists are now promoting their album releases on the site! Scissor Sister’s front man Jake Shears placed his own escort ad on Rentboy.com at www.rentboy.com/nightwork today. The ad promotes his new album NIGHTWORK (coming out June 28th on Polydor/Universal) and includes erotic photos snapped by bandmate Baby Daddy from his cell phone. Jake lists his talents as “go-go dancing and stripping” and his “out rate” as $11.99, or the price of the new album on i-Tunes. The band launched their 26-city world tour this week. At concerts, they’re distributing Scissor Sisters “cash money” from confetti guns, with the slogan “Make Some Cash, Fuck the Rich.” When held up to the light the money reads www.scissorsisters.com/xxx. That site leads fans to Jake Shears’ rentboy profile.

Jennifer Lopez, Ms. Jenny from the Block herself, was on hand to make an in-person appearance in Times Square, NY today to unveil her new billboard as part of the Be Extraordinary campaign for The Boys and Girls Club of America. Because J. Lo benefited from the Bronx chapter of The Boys and Girls Club when she was just a young’n, she was happy to be part of this new campaign … check it out:

Jennifer Lopez had some help getting into the entertainment industry. An alum of the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx, Lopez credits the club’s “K company” performing arts program with teaching her to sing and dance. “When I started going there, it was the first time I sang, danced and performed in front of an audience. I wanted to be there every day,” Lopez said Thursday at the Times Square unveiling of a Boys and Girls Club billboard featuring a throwback picture of her as a child. “They taught me how to be disciplined and be perseverant and to believe in my God-given talents. They encouraged me to be great in whatever I decided to do. And they taught me that I could do whatever I wanted.” Her billboard message says it all: “Be Extraordinary.” And, she told PEOPLE, she may even bring her twins back to the Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx. “I think it’s really, really important to work hard … Being able to accomplish something with dedication and hard work and commitment. That is something I would like them to learn as well,” she said. Lopez is among 25 celebrities, including Denzel Washington, Ashanti, and Mario Lopez, participating in the BGCA’s youth advocacy campaign. “When Denzel asked me to participate, I had to say yes. I am honored and delighted to be part of the campaign,” she said. “Please join us in helping all kids be great.”

Back in January we saw a few photos of a very glammed-up Lance Bass that were posted to photographer Mike Ruiz‘s official Facebook profile … and today we learn that the pair have teamed up for a new photoshoot. Because Ruiz shot photos of last year’s American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert back in February, some people are saying that Lance is “trying to look like” Glambert in these new photos. I disagree, I think the look of these new photos, posted to Lance‘s official Facebook page, hearken back to TRUE glam rock icons like David Bowie and Gary Numan:

I, personally, am not a fan of so much make-up but it is a striking look for Mr. Bass. Considering how squeaky clean he was back in the hey day of *NSync, I’m loving the departures he is taking these days with his image. These photoshoots seem like a lot of fun for both Lance and Mike … which is why they both seem to love sharing the fruits of their labor with their Facebook friends. After going to great lengths to keep her new court-ordered SCRAM alcohol-monitoring bracelet hidden from view by wearing baggy bell bottom jeans, beige suede knee-high boots AND tan leather knee-high boots (which she wore to the beach), Lindsay Lohan is finally ready to show off the new accessory she is legally obliged to wear. Lindsay posed for photographer friend Tyler Shields in a series of photos in her home where she appears to be casually showing off her SCRAM bracelet; photos that have been sold to photo agencies allegedly so the proceeds from their sale can be donated to an “undisclosed alcohol education program”. Lindsay Lohan seems to be looking a little more comfortable with her alcohol monitoring bracelet as she poses for top celebrity photographer Tyler Shields. The troubled Mean Girls actress reclines on a white sofa in rolled up jeans which clearly show the court imposed SCRAM ankle tag. She is pictured writing in an A4 notepad with her laptop by her side showing the Top Shop website. A table in front is crammed full of empty cans of soft drinks including her favourite new tipple, energy drink Red Bull. A Parliament cigarette butt has been stubbed out in a can of Pepsi showing she is keeping some of her vices. The shots taken on Friday will appear in Shields’ new book ‘The Dirty Side of Glamour.’ LiLo said she agreed to the photo shoot in a bid to halt the frenzy surrounding the tag. In a statement the actress, said:‘To alleviate the chase to get the first shot of the scram bracelet, it was a good decision to supply one to the public.’ Proceeds from the sale of the photos are being donated to an undisclosed alcohol education charity. Shields tells People magazine, said: ‘Lindsay is amazing to work with, we have done it a few times and each time it gets better!’

While I find this notion that proceeds from the sale of these photos will be donated to an “undisclosed alcohol education program”, I think it’s a good move on Lindsay‘s part IF this donation will actually be made. I knew she wouldn’t keep the bracelet hidden from view for long … the last time she was court-ordered to wear a SCRAM bracelet back in 2007, she happily showed it off at every chance possible (remember THESE photos and THIS photo?). 50 Cent (nee Curtis James Jackson III) is taking his burgeoning acting career very seriously … as is plainly evident in new photos that show that Fitty dropped 54 pounds in just about 9 weeks for an upcoming film project. 50 Cent has been cast to play a cancer-stricken football player in the film Things Fall Apart … and this is what he looks like these days:

These shocking pictures look like a homeless man who has not eaten for weeks. But they are actually photos of multi-millionaire rapper 50 Cent, who lost a staggering 54lbs in just nine weeks for a film role. The hip-hop star went on a liquid-only diet and worked out for three hours a day to achieve the staggering weight loss. He is due to play a cancer-stricken American football player in a forthcoming film and wanted to look authentic for the part. In the past 50 cent has made much of his muscular body, often appearing topless in videos and showing off his huge frame. The 34-year-old is starring and co-producing ‘Things Fall Apart’, which will also feature Ray Liotta and is directed by Mario van Peebles. Soon after the dramatic weight loss pictures were posted on his website, 50cent.com, rumours swept the internet they were a hoax. But in a statement the star, real name Curtis Jackson, confirmed the pictures were authentic. ‘I was starving,’ he said, adding that now he is back on tour, ‘I’ve been eating. I’ll be back in shape in no time!’ In the film which is set for release in 2011, 50 Cent plays a football player diagnosed with cancer. He dropped from 214 pounds to an astonishing 160 pounds with a liquid diet and three-hour-a-day treadmill walks for nine weeks.

Yeesh! Fitty looks terrible. Losing this much weight so quickly cannot be healthy … and it sure as hell does not look fun. It appears that Fitty has taken a page from the Christian Bale Method Acting playbook … you may recall that Christian recently dropped a lot of weight for his film The Fighter and previously dropped a dangerous and sickly amount of weight for his film The Machinist. Great news No Doubt fans … the band posted a message on their official Twitter profile yesterday along with a couple of new photos announcing that they have gotten together in the studio to record new music. At this early stage, there is no chance that they will formally announce the release of a new No Doubt album but … I think we can be pretty sure that’s where they are headed. This is greatly encouraging. I can’t imagine how No Doubt can record songs together and not want to release them to fans … this is really great news. Even tho the band got together to tour last year, I was pretty bummed that they didn’t put out an album to coincide with the tour … I think the time has finally come for some new No Doubt tunes. You might want to follow the band on Twitter to stay up-to-date on their progress in the recording studio. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that new No Doubt music will be coming our way very soon!

Joel Madden, frontman for his band Good Charlotte and avid Twitter user, is pretty fond of sharing his personal photos on his official Twitter account and this weekend some of those photos have been culled together by People magazine. While in Philadelphia, the couple took daughter Harlow to the city’s 135-year-old zoo, the first in America. “Harlow really enjoyed the Hippos. Nicole somehow found a way convince Harlow that I am a gorilla,” Madden lamented.

Madden’s twin Benji finds himself the subject of Richie’s teasing, like when she posted THIS photo of the Good Charlotte guitarist. “Just walked in on @benjaminmadden posing like this in front of my 2 dogs. Ummmmmmmm…..”

Aww … love these photos! Joel Madden (as well as his brothers Josh and Benji) are the realest guys you will ever meet. I love that they are all so willing to share so much of themselves with fans. Twitter is such a great way to “get to know” the celebs that you may be a fan of and I can assure you, what you see/read from the Maddens is what you get in real life. It’s very clear that these guys are so thankful and grateful for their lives and they seem happy to share that bliss with the world.
