Victoria Beckham and her eldest son Brooklyn Joseph made their way to Clay County in Kentucky for a 2-day visit to spend time with the impoverished children there. Vicki B. and Brooklyn spent much time with the kids in class but they also spent some time playing as well … here are a few photos:

Victoria Beckham spoke out about childhood poverty today after taking her eldest son to visit some of the poorest children in America. The former Spice Girl and 10-year-old Brooklyn engaged in a number of activities run by the Save the Children charity during a two-day trip to Clay County, in the state of Kentucky. Mrs Beckham said the visit had shown her the need for all children to have an equal start in life and helped her son learn about the responsibilities of his generation. The mother-of-three and Brooklyn took part in a number of programmes last week, including teaching football, reading to toddlers and providing literacy and nutrition tools to parents on home visits. At Manchester Elementary School, in Manchester, Kentucky, they participated in an after-school programme involving reading and healthy snacks and handed out Adidas shoes and backpacks. And during a visit to Big Creek Elementary School, in Oneida, the pair took part in a book bag exchange, where toddlers were given bags filled with books, and read one of their favourite stories, Duck In The Truck. Beckham also met school principals and teachers to try to understand the challenges they face and the support provided by Save the Children’s programmes. Clay County, in the south-east of Kentucky, is one of the poorest counties in America, with a childhood poverty rate of 47.8 per cent and an average household income of $19,728 (around £12,000). Beckham said: ‘What I saw in Clay County was the hope and promise inherent in every child. That’s why we have to make sure every single child has a fair and equal start in life. ‘Seeing Save the Children’s innovative programmes in action, I know that we can begin to reverse the childhood poverty crisis. ‘I’m pleased Brooklyn is learning that, by helping and joining other children, he can play a role in making his generation the greatest yet.’ Mark Shriver, managing director of Save the Children’s US programmes, who accompanied Beckham and Brooklyn on the visits, said: ‘By advocating a fair start for all children, Victoria is setting a powerful example for learning about and understanding the challenges confronting too many children in America today. ‘Instilling in Brooklyn the value of generational responsibility, she knows that a better sense of unity among children will make a future America and global community even greater.’ Mr Shriver continued: ‘These trips create invaluable awareness- building and advocacy. We look forward to continuing to work with Victoria to ensure that every child in America gets a fair start in life.’ Save The Children’s US programmes serve 50,000 in nearly 200 of America’s poorest and most remote communities.

I have to say, I am very impressed that Victoria and Brooklyn gave so generously of their time to shed light on the state of poverty in this country. I had no idea that Vicki B. was at all interested in such matters and I can really appreciate that she wanted to bring her son with her to lend a hand. Britney Spears, who is currently on tour in Australia for the first time ever, is making the most of her time down under by packing in as much fun activity as she can when she is not hard at work on the performance stage. Britney has already conquered Perth and Melbourne and has finally arrived in Sydney. Yesterday we saw a few cute photos of Britney Spears and her agent/beau Jason Trawick carrying her sleeping sons — Sean Preston and Jayden James — from their hotel and today we get to see a couple more cute pics of Britwick carrying the boys. This time, tho, Britney’s sons are wide awake and lookin’ as adorable as ever:

Not only is Britney carrying on with her sons in loving arms but she, too, is carrying on with her tour The Circus starring Britney Spears which seems to have the entire country of Australia talking. I love that Britney causes a sensation wherever she goes … even if she doesn’t mean to. You just keep doin’ your thing, Britney. Britney is still in Melbourne but she heads to Sydney next … watch out, y’all!

Yesterday we learned that Britney Spears’s young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James make the long trek across the Pacific Ocean to join their mother in Australia where she is currently on tour for her first ever Oz tour. We also got to see a few adorable photos of Britney, her sons and Brit’s agent/beau Jason Trawick enjoying a day at their hotel pool. Today we get to see pics of Britwick carrying the boys out of their hotel as they made their way to the next concert stop on Britney’s tour … behold the cuteness:

So cute … so precious. Now that Jason Trawick and her sons have joined our dear Britney down under, her happy family can carry on with her Aussie tour as a complete unit. I kinda like that Jason combed down his usually wild hair for this outing with the family … he really does make a fitting father figure, don’t you think?

Levi Johnston, who arrived in NYC, NY earlier week to prepare for his nekkid photoshoot for Playgirl magazine, has decided that he is going to fight for shared custody of his only begotten son Tripp Easton Mitchell (borne of Bristol Palin, eldest daughter of the former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin). According to Johnston, the Palin family don’t want to let him anywhere near his son … so his only recourse is to take them to court:

In his custody fight for son Tripp, Levi Johnston says he’s up against a powerful foe: Sarah Palin. Johnston, 19, claims the former vice presidential candidate has been part of an effort to keep Tripp away from Johnston by exerting influence on 19-year-old daughter Bristol, who is Tripp’s mother. “She has a big impact on what Bristol does and thinks,” Johnston tells Entertainment Tonight. “Bristol looks up to Sarah. I don’t know why they just don’t want me in his life.” But Johnston insists he doesn’t fear Palin as he gets ready to sue for joint custody. “She ain’t nothing,” he says. “Just because she ran for vice president and was the governor of Alaska, doesn’t intimidate me. Sarah has no legal thing on Tripp, she’s just the grandmother.” He adds: “By the end of the year we’re gonna go to court for joint custody. I’m just done with it. When there’s a kid involved you ain’t walking away.” When Johnston announced his intention to sue for custody, Palin’s camp did not respond to requests for comment. But her lawyer, Thomas Van Flein, told Britain’s The Guardian on Oct. 30, “Other than noting that Tripp’s father is always welcome to visit his son, we are unable to respond to these allegations as it is inappropriate to discuss child custody matters publicly.”

Um … yeah, but before Levi Johnston goes to court to fight for custody rights, he’s going to pose nekkid for Playgirl magazine. I don’t know that that is the wisest course of actions if he is truly intent on proving to the court that he deserves custodial rights to his child but … I wish him the best of luck. And speaking of that Playgirl shoot … Levi spoke with Life & Style magazine about his readiness to drop trou for Playgirl. Earlier today we saw photos of Britney Spears’s young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, making their arrival in Australia where their mother is currently on tour for the first time ever! As soon as the boys landed, they were whisked away by Britney’s agent/beau Jason Trawick for a happy reunion at their hotel … behold:

Will you PLEASE look at that smile on Britney’s face? I don’t think anything on this Earth makes her as happy as her children do. I love these pics so much. It really looks like they were having a fantastic bonding reunion. Britney did some bonding with Jason Trawick as well. As we all know by now, Britney Spears has made her way down to Australia to perform her first set of Aussie concerts ever and altho she has been facing some bit of criticism for her performance style, she’s been playing to sold out houses since her Oz tour began. This week, Britney’s young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James have made their way to Oz to be with their mommy … and were delivered to her by her manager Larry Rudolph and her agent/beau Jason Trawick. Here are a few pics of the boys making their Aussie arrival:

Ain’t these little guys just the dickens? They are so cute … and the picture is even more adorable when one or the other of them is being carrying in Jason Trawick’s loving arms. I’m happy to see that the little guys made the flight over to Australia without incident … I bet they were very excited to see their mom and their mom to see them. There are a batch of SUPERCUTE pics of Britney’s reunion with her boys at her Aussie hotel shortly after these pics were snapped. I’ll have those pics to share a little later on today. Stay tuned!!
