Yesterday we saw a few photos of Lindsay Lohan suffering thru her first days of house arrest in her luxurious beachfront condo in Venice, CA. Today we learn that Lindsay isn’t merely relaxing during her house arrest … she’s also making money. Lindsay posted for a few photos while smoking Blu Cigs electronic cigarettes (and reading scripts, apparently) in an effort to make a few extra advertising dollars while she pays back her debt to society. I mean … of course.
Remember back in March when Courtney Love settled a defamation lawsuit that was brought against her and the things she said on her official Twitter profile? Yeah, well … she’s at it again. After that legal matter was settled, Courtney got back on Twitter and started running her mouth again. Now she’s being sued by one of her attorneys that she’s allegedly been bad-mouthing on Twitter. Clearly, C. Love is not one to learn her lessons.
Earlier this week we learned that troubled trainwreck starlet Lindsay Lohan surrendered to the court to begin serving house arrest after being convicted of misdemeanor jewelry theft earlier this month. Today, courtesy of TMZ, we get to see just how much Lindsay is suffering thru her punishment. L. Lo must remain in her home with an electronic monitoring bracelet affixed to her ankle … which, judging by the photos below, looks like pure torture.
In the wake of Lindsay Lohan‘s latest brush with the law, that resulted in NO jailtime but 3 years of probation, L. Lo has reportedly vowed to turn over a new leaf and stay CLEAN and SOBER so that she will remain TOTALLY out of trouble with the law. In completely unrelated news, Lindsay spent part of her weekend partying with BFF Marilyn Manson (of all people) at the DeLeon Tequila Two Year Anniversary party at the Chateau Marmont last night … because that is the BEST way to stay completely clean and sober, apparently.
Late last month it was reported that Lindsay Lohan decided to plead no contest to misdemeanor theft and today she did just that. Lohan‘s attorney Shawn Chapman Holley entered Lindsay‘s no contest plea today and was happily met with a very light sentence for the crime. Judge Stephanie Sautner decided to punish Lohan by sentencing her to house arrest with an ankle bracelet. That’s right, despite the fact that Lindsay violated her probation and plead no contest to theft, she will NOT be forced to go back to jail to serve out her sentence.
A few weeks ago we learned that Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for violating the terms of her probation and while she is appealing the jail portion of her sentence, she seems anxious to get started on serving the community service portion of her sentence. The judge ruled that 320 of the 480 hours of community service MUST be served at the Downtown Women’s Center here in LA, CA. Lindsay got the call late yesterday that she could come in for orientation … and, surprisingly, she quickly got her buns downtown to start the process of serving out her community service hours.
S. Victor Whitmill, the Missouri-based tattoo artist who inked the infamous tribal tattoo on boxer Mike Tyson‘s face, is suing producers of The Hangover Part II for copyright infringement. As you may know, one of the characters in the sequel film sports an exact replica of Tyson‘s face tattoo in a majority of the film and Whitmill is demanding compensation. At first, I thought his claim was baseless … but it turns out that Whitmill actually copyrighted the tattoo design after he inked it on Tyson‘s face. He might actually have a very strong case … which would mean the Hangover folks may have to pay him a LOT of money in the long run.
Sometimes life is stranger than fiction and that is SO very much the case when it comes to the trainwreck of a life lived by Lindsay Lohan. Director Ben Rimalower and performer D’Arcy Drollinger have created an off-Broadway show called Project: Lohan that takes the found text of Lindsay‘s actual words and turns it into entertainment. Project: Lohan debuted in NYC last night and promises to give a fair but funny portrayal of the young girl’s very messy life. In real life, TMZ is reporting that Lindsay has decided to plead no contest to the misdemeanor charges of theft brought against her. If she does plead no contest, that would mean she would need to serve that 120 day jail sentence that she got slapped with a couple of weeks ago. Might Lindsay be ready to take responsibility for her actions? Is that even possible?
Day 1 of Lindsay Lohan‘s Felony Grand Theft drama is over and there is some good news and some bad news to report. Firstly, Lindsay‘s felony charge have been reduced to a misdemeanor charge … which means that even if she is found guilty of the theft, she cannot be sent to prison for the crime. BUT … here comes the bad news. The judge also ruled that Lindsay violated her probation when she was arrested for the necklace theft earlier this year … and IMMEDIATELY sentenced her to 120 days in jail! Lindsay was taken into custody after court adjourned so she could be booked, mug shot and then tossed behind bars.
Yesterday, Lindsay Lohan and her siblings enjoyed a fun day at Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park in SoCal … today, L. Lo is in court to begin her Felony Grand Theft trial. Lindsay showed up at court a short while ago wearing an outfit that completely covered her body from neck to toe … she even wore a scarf! Considering how scantily-clad she usually dresses when she goes to court, could it be that she is actually taking this trail seriously?
