Back in March we learned that Chris Brown would be spending at least 30 days in jail after he violated the terms of his probation punishment which stems from his conviction for the brutal assault of Rihanna back in 2009. Since that time, Brown was flown to Washington DC to face new assault charges that stem from an incident that took place back in October of last year. Today we learn that his DC case, which was due to start this week, has been pushed back to June. As a result, Brown asked the court to release him from jail until the trial can get underway and he was shut down … which means that his ass will remain behind bars until June, at the very least. The US Court of Appeals has thrown out all 3 lawsuits
Back in late 2012 we heard a lot of torrid sex abuse claims leveled against voice actor Kevin Clash, the man who provides the voice of Elmo on Sesame Street. A series of men accused Clash of sexually abusing them when they were minors which resulted in 3 formal lawsuits filed against him. Throughout it all, Clash denied any wrongdoing but ended up resigning as the voice of Elmo until the matter was settled. Last July, we learned that the cases against Clash were tossed out of court due to a statute of limitations technicality and today we learn that that decision to dismiss the cases has been upheld by the US Court of Appeals … which means that Kevin Clash has totally and finally been cleared of those sex abuse claims. For the past few years, ever since Michael Jackson passed away in 2009, Debbie Rowe (the biological mother of MJ‘s two eldest children Prince Michael Joseph and Paris Michael Katherine) has followed the late King of Pop‘s wishes to let his mother Katherine Jackson have legal guardianship custody of their children. In the wake of Paris‘s suicide attempt last Summer, Debbie has reportedly been keeping a more watchful eye on the way her children are cared for in the Jackson home. A few weeks ago we learned that Chris Brown was taken into police custody and jailed where he was set to remain for the following 30 days. Today we learn that Brown was, just a short time ago, taken into custody by US Marshals so that he could be transferred to a holding facility in San Bernadino, CA where he will remain until he is flown to Washington DC to go on trial for assault charges leveled against him stemming from a bar fight he was involved in last October. As I understand it, Brown‘s flight to DC will take some time as he will be flying on an airplane that transports prisoners (like in the movie Con Air) and his flight will be making stops all over the country picking up other prisoners along the way. Doesn’t that sound fun? More »
