Dina Lohan Pleads Guilty To DUI

Sentencing comes in June

Dina Lohan proves that the old adage, Like Mother, Like Daughter is as true as ever after she sauntered into a Long Island, NY courtroom earlier today to plead guilty to charges of driving under the influence and speeding. As you may recall, Mama Lohan got busted in September of last year when she was found to have a blood alcohol limit that was over twice the legal limit. TMZ reports that she will be sentenced in June to serve 1000 hours of community service, which is something that her daughter Lindsay Lohan knows all about. And so, today marks another benchmark in the Lohan family. More »

For the past few years, ever since Michael Jackson passed away in 2009, Debbie Rowe (the biological mother of MJ‘s two eldest children Prince Michael Joseph and Paris Michael Katherine) has followed the late King of Pop‘s wishes to let his mother Katherine Jackson have legal guardianship custody of their children. In the wake of Paris‘s suicide attempt last Summer, Debbie has reportedly been keeping a more watchful eye on the way her children are cared for in the Jackson home. Chris Brown Has Been Taken Into Custody By US Marshals For Trial In Washington DC

Con Air

A few weeks ago we learned that Chris Brown was taken into police custody and jailed where he was set to remain for the following 30 days. Today we learn that Brown was, just a short time ago, taken into custody by US Marshals so that he could be transferred to a holding facility in San Bernadino, CA where he will remain until he is flown to Washington DC to go on trial for assault charges leveled against him stemming from a bar fight he was involved in last October. As I understand it, Brown‘s flight to DC will take some time as he will be flying on an airplane that transports prisoners (like in the movie Con Air) and his flight will be making stops all over the country picking up other prisoners along the way. Doesn’t that sound fun? More »

20 Years Later

Several rolls of undeveloped film have been found among evidence collected from the Kurt Cobain death investigation that took place 20 years ago way back in 1994. Seattle Police have decided to release two previously unseen photos from the Cobain death scene but they are making it very clear that the investigation into his death has NOT been reopened. Click below to see the photos from Kurt Cobain‘s death investigation, which remains case closed. More »

Justin Bieber Is Lookin’ To Settle His Egg-Throwing Case

No Contest, No Jail, Big Pay Out

Back in January, Justin Bieber was reportedly caught on video throwing eggs at one of his Calabasas, CA neighbor’s homes which caused several thousand dollars worth of damage. As a result, the victim of the egg-throwing incident decided to press charges. You will recall that when police showed up to Bieber‘s home to look for evidence of the incident, they arrested JB‘s BFF Lil’ Za on unrelated drug possession charges. Today we learn that Bieber is now very interested in settling this case with his neighbor so that he can avoid criminal prosecution. Yesterday, we saw moving trucks at Casa Bieber which means that The Biebs appears VERY INTERESTED in settling all of his biz in Calabasas before he moves across the country to Atlanta, GA. More »

The NFL Wants M.I.A. To Pay $16+ Million For Flipping The Bird During The Super Bowl Halftime Show

WTF?!

So, um, remember back in February of 2012 when M.I.A. performed with Madonna during the halftime show of Super Bowl XLVI when she flipped her middle finger on camera for all the world to see? Well, last Fall, the NFL tried to get M.I.A. to pay $1.5 million dollars for the offense. The matter went into arbitration and today we learn that the NFL now wants an additional $15.1 million in “restitution”. LOL. In the long history of “offensive gestures” to come from the Super Bowl halftime shows (from artists like Michael Jackson [crotch grabbing], Prince [simulated phallic stroking] and Madonna [lewd pelvic thrusts]), the NFL feels that M.I.A.‘s middle finger was SO OFFENSIVE that she should pay over $16 million dollars in fines. Again, I say, LOL! More »

Kanye West Sentenced To Probation, Anger Management Classes & Community Service For Assaulting A Photog

No Contest

Last July, Kanye West ALLEGEDLY assaulted a paparazzi photographer (in an incident that was widely photographed) and it looked like he was going to walk away from the incident without punishment. Yesterday, the long arm of the law reached out and tapped Kanye on the shoulder and let him know, Yeah, you’re gonna get punished. Kanye decided to enter a plea of no contest on the assault charges which basically means he will accept punishment for the crime without admitting guilt for the crime. His sentence? Two years of probation, 24 installments of anger management classes and 250 hours of community service. Whether you plead guilty or not, you’re going to have to pay for the crime of physically assaulting another person. More »

Chris Brown Will Remain In Jail For The Next 30 Days

The judge has "concerns about his inability to stay out of trouble"

On Friday Chris Brown was taken into police custody and jailed for violating the terms of his probation, stemming from his conviction for physically assaulting Rihanna back in 2009. As you may recall, Brown was ejected from a rehab treatment facility on Friday, which triggered his violation probation, and was immediately arrested. In court yesterday, Brown went before his ruling judge and was ordered to spend the next month in jail until his OTHER assault case in Washington is settled (if he is convicted in that case, he will likely spend more time in jail for violating his probation). When he sentenced Brown to spend the next month in jail, the judge made it clear that he had “concerns about [Brown's] ability to stay out of trouble”. Had Brown been sentenced all those years ago, he might’ve stayed out of trouble sooner. Hmmm. More »

Chris Pine Pleads Guilty To DUI In New Zealand

He was fined $79

Last week we learned that actor Chris Pine was arrested earlier this month in New Zealand on charges that he was driving under the influence after he left a wrap party for a movie he was filming there. Earlier today, in Ashburton District Court, Pine made an in-person appearance in court to formally plead guilty to his DUI charge. The whole matter took only moments and Pine walked away from court with a minuscule fine and the suspension of his New Zealand drivers license. All in all, not really a serious punishment at all.
