Earlier this month we learned of a ridiculous lawsuit that was leveled against popstar Justin Bieber that claimed he was father of a young woman’s baby. Right out of the gate, The Biebs refuted the allegation and even reportedly vowed to submit to a DNA test to prove that he was not the father of anyone’s baby. It would seem that the steam has run out of that ridic lawsuit because the case has been dismissed. After the woman’s lawyers decided not to work for her anymore, the decision was made to drop the paternity suit against Bieber.

Last week we learned that troubled trainwreck Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail for her latest criminal bout of probation violation and at the time we also learned that she would, very likely, be serving much less time in jail than the 30 days required of her. Today we learn that Lindsay surrendered to police custody last night to begin serving out her sentence … and she was released from jail 4 1/2 hours later due to overcrowding.

Back in September, the Conrad Murray trial to determine if he was criminally negligent in the death of Michael Jackson got underway and all these weeks later we are finally nearing the end … and are very close to a verdict of guilt or innocence. The prosecution and the defense both offered their closing arguments yesterday before the court went into recess for the day. Today is the first day that the jury begins to deliberate … very soon, we could have a verdict … it could even come today! It won’t be long now … the final countdown to a ruling in the Conrad Murray trial has begun.

A couple of weeks ago, Lindsay Lohan appeared in court to answer claims that she was in violation of satisfying her court-ordered probation requirements and at the time the ruling judge found enough proof that she was, indeed, in violation of her probation terms … resulting in another arrest and court date for trainwreck Lindsay. Today, Lindsay showed up for that court date in order to throw herself at the mercy of the court. She admitted that she violated probation in order to find out her new punishment. Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced her to 30 days in jail (NO house arrest) and laid down a series of court-ordered community service hours and therapy sessions. It’s a laundry list of requirements that MUST be satisfied to the letter … if she messes up just once, she will be sent immediately to jail. Will Lindsay FINALLY be able to do the right thing and serve out her punishment to the court’s satisfaction? I guess we shall see. Good news, y’all … Michael Lohan is still in jail! As you may recall, Lohan was arrested twice this week for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Kate Major and then for attempting to contact her after he was released from jail for that first arrest. Lohan went before the ruling judge in an attempt to be freed again but was brutally rebuffed. The judge was not impressed by Daddy Lohan‘s sob story so … she revoked his bond and sent his sorry ass back to jail. Hallelujah! The streets are safe from one Lohan right now.
