Ryan Gosling Casts Rumored Boo Eva Mendes In His Upcoming Movie

Eva Will Play 'Cat'
The Place Beyond The Pines" Premiere, Toronto

A little while back we learned that Ryan Gosling would be making his directorial debut with How To Catch A Monster, and I’m definitely psyched. Although actor-turned-director stories don’t always have a happy ending, I think Ryan Gosling‘s been in enough good, quality stuff to know how to make his own good, quality film. We’d also heard that Ryan had cast Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks in the flick, but it sounds like we’ve got another talented actress to look forward to in this cast; Eva Mendes, boo extraordinaire of Ryan Gosling, will be in her boyfriend’s first film ever! As many of you know, the Boy Meets World sequel is officially in the works. A little while back Ben Savage (AKA Cory) spoke out about Girl Meets World, in attempt to assuage some of our concerns about the re-vamping of a 90s favorite. Today we’re getting a few more deets about the show and some casting news! Little Rowan Blanchard has officially been cast as Cory and Topanga‘s daughter, and I personally think she looks the part! J.J. Abrams Signs On To Direct The New ‘Star Wars’ Movie

Um ... OK

Back in October we first learned that the Walt Disney Company purchased the Lucasfilm Company (and all of its properties, including the Star Wars franchise) for $4 billion dollars and that a new Star Wars film was going into pre-production. At the time, folks started wondering which big name Hollywood directors would be courted to helm the new Star Wars: Episode VII. In November, J.J. Abrams‘s name came up but he denied that he would be involved with the film at all … which I thought was a good idea since he is now in charge of the new Star Trek film franchise. Earlier this month, we heard that director Zack Snyder might be up for the directing job … until late yesterday when it was officially announced that, yes, J.J. Abrams has been signed on as the new director of Star Wars … to which I respond, really??? More »

Kate Winslet In Talks To Join The Cast Of ‘Divergent’

Shailene Woodley Is Confirmed For The Lead

Sigh. Kate Winslet. Where art thou?! Oh yeah, that’s right. Probably off enjoying your honeymoon with Ned Rocknroll. But it sounds like she’s getting ready to return to the big screen, and she’s taken interest in a movie that will surprise some of her fans. A little while back we learned that Shailene Woodley (of The Descendants and The Secret Life of the American Teenager) had been offered the lead in the movie adaptation of the young adult novel Divergent (she was also pegged for the role of Mary Jane in the next Amazing Spider-Man flick). It looks like Woodley might get to work with one of the best (and my absolute favorite actress of all time), if Kate Winslet does join the cast. Click inside to learn more!

Lindsay Lohan Turns Down An Offer To Appear On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Finally, Some Sense?!

So, Lindsay Lohan may be struggling with some financial difficulties these days but that doesn’t mean that she’s entirely desperate for money … yet. Word has it that Dancing with the Stars offered Lindsay a sizeable sum to appear and compete on the upcoming new season of their show and Lindsay decided NOT to take them up on their offer. While I find it very difficult to believe that Lindsay has better offers coming in, I have to say, I’m a bit surprised that she decided to say no to DWTS. Either the girl still has some pride left OR she’s finally reached a point where she’s making intelligent decisions … I mean, right? More »

The Writer Of 'Shame' And 'The Iron Lady' Will Adapt The Script
2013 Golden Globe Awards - Press Room

It’s been a while since I saw a good Shakespearean adaptation on the big screen, but it sounds like one is in the works! Anne Hathaway has had a pretty huge year. She got hitched, covered Vogue, and starred in a little movie called Les Misérables. Having won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress (for Les Miz), there’s a good chance that she’s gearing up for her first Oscar win as well. Fans of the talented star will be happy to know that she’s just been cast in the latest adaptation of William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Screw. Click inside to learn more!
