A few weeks ago, Paris Hilton got into a spot of trubs in South Africa when she and her friend Jennifer Rovero were taken into custody at the 2010 World Cup on suspicion of marijuana possession. The ladies were brought up on drug charges but Paris managed to get released with apologies … it was reported that Paris‘s run-in with authorities was a case of “mistaken identity” because Rovero plead guilty to the marijuana possession while Paris walked free). Yesterday, Hilton again got herself into a spot of trubs upon arrival in Corsica, France. Drug-sniffing dogs zeroed in on Paris as she was trying to enter the country … again, she was taken into custody for questioning:

Paris Hilton was held by police last night after flying into Corsica with cannabis in her handbag, according to reports. The socialite landed at Figari airport on the French island in a private jet and was due to board a yacht to Sardinia nearby. But she was stopped by police after she was picked out by their sniffer dogs and taken into their offices for questioning. Officers found less than a gram of the drug in her handbag and she was released without charge after less than half an hour, according to newspaper Corse-Matin. Police told the local paper: ‘Hilton was taken aside as she landed at Figari. She was searched in a secure area of the airport police station and an amount of cannabis that weighed less than a gram, was found in her handbag. Due to the small amount of the substance, she was cautioned to not travel with drugs then released within an hour with no criminal charges. The drug was confiscated and destroyed.’ The incident comes less than two weeks after the hotel heiress was arrested for drugs at a World Cup match in South Africa … Today, she appeared to rebuff the latest run-in with the police on the micro-blogging site Twitter. She wrote: ‘So sick of people making up rumors about me. The latest one about me is completely false too. Don’t believe what you read. Silly nonsense.’ Clearly undisturbed by the incident, she added: ‘Another beautiful day, about to go jump in the ocean and do some jet skiing! Loves it! Life is beautiful!’

Wait, I’m confused … which “rumors” is Paris referring to? Does she mean the official report that she was questioned by authorities at Figari airport because she was found in possession of less than a gram of weed? I wouldn’t call that a “rumor”. I suppose it was lucky for Paris‘s travel companions that she was found in possession of so little marijuana. Had she been found with enough mj to warrant an arrest, I’m certain one of her traveling companions would have had to take the fall for her again (and now you know why she must travel with an entourage). See, it may sound like luxurious fun to travel the world with Paris Hilton on her dime but doing so comes with a price. As you can see, nothing in this world comes for free.

Yesterday we learned that Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil was arrested in Las Vegas, NV on charges of drunk driving (for the third time … first back in 1984 which resulted in the death of a bandmate, then in 2007 … but that arrest was purged from his record because of a savvy plea bargain deal and then early Monday morning) but it turns out that he wasn’t the only one who got popped for DUI this week. The Gary & Dino Show reports that Amy Locane (who starred in the first season of the original Melrose Place back in the 1990′s) was also arrested for drunk driving … but in her case, she is accused of killing someone due to her intoxicated state!

Authorities say actress Amy Locane-Bovenizer, charged in a fatal drunk-driving crash that killed a Montgomery woman Sunday night, was also involved in minor hit-and-run collision in Princeton just prior. Around 9 p.m., the former “Melrose Place” actress was driving a 2007 Chevy Tahoe north on Cherry Hill Road in Montgomery when she struck the passenger side of a 2010 Mercury Milan as it was turning into a driveway, court papers said. Helene Seeman was pronounced dead the scene. Fred Seeman, who was driving, was flown to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he is listed in critical condition this afternoon. Earlier, Locane-Bovenizer crashed into another car as she was driving in Princeton, Somerset County Acting Prosecutor A. Peter DeMarco, Jr. said in a statement. Locane-Bovenizer, 38, whose films include “Airheads” and “Crybaby,” rear-ended a car at an intersection in Princeton several miles from the second crash, DeMarco said. When the driver of the other car tried to phone police, Locane-Bovenizer got back in her SUV and drove off, the prosecutor said. The other driver followed her, telling police she was “swerving and knocking down several mailboxes.” Later Sunday evening, after the fatal crash, the actress admitted to police that she had consumed several glasses of wine prior to driving, according to court papers. She is charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and third-degree assault by auto.
Officers allegedly smelled alcohol and reported the actress’ eyes were bloodshot and glassy, and her speech was slurred. She was arrested and transferred to University Medical Center in Princeton, where her blood was tested. The actress was in tears as she arrived in Superior Court in Somerville this afternoon, where she was arraigned before Superior Court Judge Robert Reed. Bail was set today at $50,000, cash or bond. If convicted, the woman would face five to 10 years in state prison. She would have to serve 85 percent of the term without parole.

UNBELIEVABLE! Not only was this idiot involved in two separate incidents but her reckless and ILLEGAL actions resulted in a death! This is exactly the worst case scenario … the actions of a moronic drunk driver results in the death of an innocent driver … it’s absolutely disgusting! Should Amy Locane be found guilty of her crimes, she should deffo be thrown in jail. Drunk Driving is such a senseless crime … when it results in death, IMHO it is tantamount to murder. Vince Neil, the frontman for the hair metal band Mötley Crüe, was arrested in the wee hours earlier today on charges of driving under the influence in Las Vegas, NV making him the latest celeb to allegedly put the lives of other drivers in danger by getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. TMZ is reporting that Neil was busted shortly after he was spotted at his LV restaurant Tres Rios Cantina:

Gross. It seems like not a week goes by that we learn of another celeb getting busted for drunk driving. What’s even more gross is there are countless other arrests for drunk driving that occur every single day and we just don’t hear about them. In many cases, those arrests stem from accidents where people are injured or killed. Neil has a long record of arrest and has been jailed before (for various crimes including assault and Pink reader Pixie reminds me that Vince Neil previously killed a bandmate by drunk driving back in 1984) … so it remains to be seen if he will suffer any real consequences for this latest arrest should he be proved guilty of DUI. Neil only served 30 days in jail for his ’84 DUI conviction … 30 days for an incident that killed a man! Another day, another DUI arrest … just sad.

Chris Klein, American Pie star and possible secret Suri Holmes Cruise daddy, got himself arrested here in SoCal in the wee hours this morning on suspicion of drunk driving … joining the long and growing list of morons who allegedly think it’s OK to get hammered and then put other people’s lives in danger by getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. Klein was previously arrested back in 2005 for DUI (his old mugshot is featured below because his newest mugshot has yet to be made available) but read on for the deets of this new arrest:

TMZ has learned Chris Klein — who played Oz in “American Pie” — was arrested early this morning on suspicion of DUI. Law enforcement sources tell us a CHP officer stopped Klein on the 101 freeway in Los Angeles at 3:13AM. 31-year-old Klein was arrested after failing a field sobriety test, we’re told. According to the police report, Klein was “observed weaving from the #3 lane into the #2 and #4 lane westbound US 101 at Woodman Ave.” The report notes that Klein did not resist the resist.

Now, it IS entirely possible that Klein was just tired or whatever and it IS easy for some people to fail field sobriety tests. But, based on the fact that the police felt it necessary to arrest him AND he was arrested for DUI previously, I’m gonna guess that Klein was prolly more than just tired when he was weaving across traffic lanes this morning. In a world where celebrities who are proven drunk do not see the inside of jail cells, I find it hard to believe that Chris Klein will get any real punishment from this infraction … tho, the fact that he has a DUI bust record could actually lead to jailtime. Ugh. Another day, another DUI arrest :(

UPDATE: TMZ has updated their report to clarify that Chris Klein‘s blood alcohol level was THREE TIMES the legal limit! That coupled with the fact that this is his second DUI arrest in about 5 years is making it sound more likely that homeboy might actually get punished … like, for reals.

Last weekend we learned that Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford got busted for pot possession in his homestate of Texas and today TMZ reports that homeboy is being officially charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession. It looks like the authorities in Texas are interested in making an example of dear, sweet Chace:

TMZ has learned “Gossip Girl” star Chace Crawford has now been charged with one misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. TMZ broke the story … Crawford was arrested in Plano, Texas last Friday after cops found an unlit joint in a car he was sitting in with a friend. If convicted, Crawford faces a maximum of six months behind bars.

Whether Texas wants to make an example of Chace Crawford or not, I cannot for the life of me see the boy going to jail for 6 months. If convicted, he may see the inside of a jail cell but even that seems highly unlikely to me. That being said, I do know that Texas is not playing around when it comes to law enforcement … I understand they have the highest execution rate in the country. So … yeah … Chace might be seriously bummin’ if this misdemeanor charge turns into a conviction.

Spotted … Chace Crawford, one of the principal stars of the hit TV series Gossip Girl, lookin’ supercute yet super sad in a mug shot photo after he was arrested early Friday morning in the parking lot of Ringo’s Pub in Plano, TX for marijuana possession. Altho Chace was busted with less than 2 ounces of the illegal substance, which is a misdemeanor in the great State of Texas, he still had to be arrested and booked for his crime. He got busted, y’all!

Chace Crawford was arrested early Friday morning for possession of marijuana, according to a police report. The 24-year-old Gossip Girl star was arrested in a pub parking lot in Plano, Texas, after police discovered one marijuana joint in the car he was in. The charge is a misdemeanor, for having two ounces or less of marijuana. Calls for comment have not been returned.

Aww … just look at the poor little lamb’s face. You’d think the arresting officer would’ve had pity on the lad after getting a load of his super sad, frowny face. Sonja Morgan, one of the new castmembers of the current 3rd season of Bravo TV‘s The Real Housewives of NYC, was busted for driving while intoxicated in the ritzy NYC ‘burb of Southampton Village, NY. Here is Sonja‘s mug shot and some deets of her arrest:

A cast member of the hit Bravo reality show “Real Housewives of New York City” was busted for DWI early Monday morning in Southampton Village. Sonja Morgan, 46, failed to halt at a stop sign on First Neck Lane at 2:16 a.m. and was pulled over by a Southampton Village officer, according to cops. Sources said she had been partying on the East End over the course of the Memorial Day weekend. After failing a series of field sobriety tests, the ex-wife of J.P. Morgan’s great-grandson John Adams Morgan refused to take a Breathalyzer test and was taken to local police headquarters and slapped with a DWI rap, according to cops. Morgan, who is in her first season on the show, will appear in court to face the charge at a later date.

While I love Sonja on Housewives and find her a welcome and refreshing addition to the series, I cannot help but be totally disgusted by her arrest for drunk driving. It’s just outrageous to me that folks still think they can get away with driving while drunk. It’s completely irresponsible to put other people’s lives in danger and I just wish people would use better judgment when they decide to drink. Trust me, I know that we are all flawed and no one is perfect … but busts like this can really remind us all that drinking and driving is no small matter. Sonja was very lucky that she didn’t injure herself or others due to her reckless behavior. Hopefully one DUI arrest will be enough for her to learn the lesson.

As you may recall, Two and a Half Men actor Charlie Sheen was arrested in Aspen, CO on Xmas day last December on charges that he assaulted his wife Brooke Mueller. Today we learn that Sheen has agreed to a plea bargain where he will plead guilty to a misdemeanor offense on June 7 and will immediately begin serving a 30 day jail sentence … which will, very likely, be a much shorter sentence for “good behavior” while incarcerated. No matter how long Sheen actually serves behind bars, he will be out in plenty of time to start production on the next season of his hit CBS TV show. Like it or not, Charlie is going to jail, y’all:

“Charlie intends to go to court on June 7 [to] plead to a misdemeanor and immediately begin serving his 30 days in jail,” says the source. “With good behavior, he could end up doing 15 or so days.” While Sheen, 44, had been charged with felony menacing, misdemeanor third-degree assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief following a Christmas Day fight with his wife, Brooke Mueller, 32, in Aspen, Colo., the source adds that Sheen would not be placed on probation once he completes his jail sentence … Earlier this month, Sheen agreed to return to his CBS hit Two and a Half Men for two more years. The plea deal would allow Sheen to serve out his jail sentence with time to spare before the new season starts shooting at the beginning of August.

Um … well, I’m shocked! I honestly never thought that Sheen‘s arrest for assault would result in actual jailtime. I mean, it’s very rare that celebs get locked up at all … to be honest, I thought this messy and embarrassing Xmas day arrest would just get swept under the rug. If Sheen is willing to go to jail, it sure sounds like he must be guilty of at least some of the assault allegations against him. There is NO way homeboy will do a full 30 days in jail … to be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if he got sprung in under a week. Nonetheless, jail is jail … and whether it’s for a short stretch or an even shorter stretch, that’s where Charlie is going.

Megan Hauserman, VH1 reality TV star who has appeared on shows like Rock of Love, Charm School, I Love Money and the canceled-before-it-aired series Megan Wants a Millionaire, was arrested in Miami Beach, FL on the charge of drunk driving. Hauserman was arrested on her way to work … at a strip club. OY! Here is Megan‘s lovely mug shot and the deets of her bust:

Former VH1 reality star Megan Hauserman was arrested for DUI yesterday — after cops pulled her over around 3:15 AM in Miami Beach. Hauserman — whose dating show “Megan Wants a Millionaire” was canceled after one of the contestants, Ryan Jenkins, allegedly killed his wife and then himself — was busted as she made her way to a strip club where she is currently employed. Law enforcement tells TMZ cops observed Hauserman in a black 2008 BMW, weaving between lanes. She then accelerated to 75MPH (in a 55MPH zone) so cops pulled her over. Cops say she had bloodshot, watery eyes, a strong odor of alcohol, and slurred speech. She told cops she had been “filming a TV show and was tired.” She blew a .102 on her Breathalyzer test and was taken into custody. Hauserman was released early this morning — after nearly 24 hours behind bars.

You may recall that Megan accused Charm School host Sharon Osbourne of physically attacking her while filming the show back in December of 2008 … so none of this surprises me in the least. Drunk driving is so irresponsible and, unfortch, doesn’t always result in any real lasting punishment that might deter the behavior in the future. I’m glad to know that Hauserman was pulled off the public streets for almost 24 hours after her arrest but I doubt sincerely that she has learned any lesson. Blah!

Just this past Thursday we learned that Jason Wahler, former star of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and The Hills, was arrested for the 6th time in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and today we learn that — having just been released from a Mexican jail and returned to the US — Wahler was arrested AGAIN last night for drunk driving! People, this is his 7th arrest overall, his 6th in the US and his second arrest in a week! Jason got busted AGAIN!!!

Jason Wahler was arrested last night — in the United States for a change — for allegedly driving under the influence. Newport Beach PD tells us Wahler was popped last night around 10:54 PM. He was driving a 2008 Chevy Tahoe and described himself to police as “an actor.” He was released this morning under his own recognizance. As you may recall, Wahler was arrested in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico earlier this month after a bar fight.

Wow. I don’t even know what to say … J. Wahl must love jail cells. When I blogged about his arrest in Mexico on Thursday I predicted that he would very likely get busted again … I just didn’t know it would happen a day later. You know, if he loves been arrested so much … I say let him keep getting arrested until he is forced to stay behind bars for good. At the rate that he is going, permanent incarceration doesn’t seem that far off.
