Sacha Baron Cohen Might Be Barred From Attending The Oscars For Walking The Red Carpet In Character

Sacha Baron Cohen is the mastermind behind film pranks and antics, but now it seems the conservative academy is not a fan. Sacha is due to be attending this year’s Oscars on Sunday night for Hugo, one of the films up for the best picture award. The creator of Borat is also currently promoting his new film, The Dictator which sees Sacha take on a new character, General Aladeen, a political strongman working to ensure that democracy never comes to his oppressed nation. In typical Sacha style, word got out that he was planning to walk the red carpet in character. The academy, anxious about an actor using the Oscars as a publicity stunt, have informed the studio distributing the new film that this would be a “very bad thing to do.” Could they prevent Sacha, the ultimate prankster and character-driven actor from attending the Oscars? Earlier this month we learned that former Home Improvement child star Taran Noah Smith got himself busted for marijuana possession … and today, we are hearing of another drug bust. Singer Robin Thicke got himself arrested in NYC for marijuana possession when police found him chillin’ in a parked car ALLEGEDLY smokin’ a doobie. According to the report, Robin was given a very friendly arrest … so friendly, that he happily gave autographs to his arresting officers. Celebrity justice in action, y’all. More »

Remember the littlest kid on the 90s TV series Home Improvement? Yeah, well, Taran Noah Smith is all grown up … and got himself arrested today for drug possession. It is being reported that he got busted in the wee hours this morning while under the suspected influence of marijuana … and upon his arrest, was found in possession of hash. Earlier this month we learned the (not at all shocking news) that rapper Snoop Dogg got himself arrested in the great State of Texas for possession of marijuana. Today we learn that actor Armie Hammer (who starred in The Social Network and J. Edgar) was also arrested for the same offense … back in November, also in Texas. Hammer was taking into custody by authorities after he was found in possession of marijuana cookies. Naughty Naughty. More »

Uh oh, looks like rapper Snoop Dogg (née Cordozar Calvin Boadus) got himself into some trouble with the law in Texas this weekend after drug-sniffing dogs gave his tour bus the once over. According to TMZ, the Texas border patrol arrested Snoop for marijuana possession after the NARC dogs discovered a cache of weed on his tour bus. To his benefit, Snoop admitted that the found marijuana belonged to him because he has a prescription for medical marijuana … in California. Last night in Helsinki, Finland former American Idol Adam Lambert and his boyfriend Sauli Koskinen were arrested after the couple became involved in an … altercation of some sort. Reports are sketchy about what exactly happened before the guys were arrested but Dr. Funkberry seems to have the most reasonable report on what allegedly went down. Justin Bieber, the 17 year old popstar who loves tooling around town in his fancy car, got himself busted by the cops here in LA for allegedly making an “unsafe left turn”. Surely, The Biebs found himself sweatin’ bullets when the police ordered him to pull over but, as is usually the case when celebrities are pulled over, JB got off with a warning. Just a couple days after he was arrested earlier this week for domestic violence and mere hours after his release from jail, trainwreck insane-o Michael Lohan was arrested AGAIN in Tampa, Florida. If you can believe it, Lohan decided to contact his ex-girlfriend Kate Major as soon as he was released from jail after being arrested for allegedly assaulting her. Major called the police and Lohan tried to escape when the police came to question him (by jumping out a window and landing in a tree) but he was foiled … then arrested and hauled back to jail … AGAIN. Early this morning, Lindsay‘s estranged father Michael Lohan was arrested in Tampa, FL on charges of domestic violence. According to the police report, Michael Lohan allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend Kate Major because she reportedly refused to perform oral sex on him. I mean … ugh.
