Now we all know Trent is usually the one getting everyone pumped up over new Britney news, but I had to cover this one. Saturday afternoon Britney Spears appeared as a guest host at 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango 2013 concert in Carson and she looked super-fab (which shouldn’t be a surprise, especially if you saw her recent Shape magazine cover). Britney rocked a sweet little black dress by Roberto Cavalli, these metallic-gold Saint Laurent pumps, and I just love it. She looked so comfortable on the red carpet, her hair was bangin’, and it just seemed like she was psyched to be there. Peep the gallery for more!

Sooo, we have some very good news for those of you who’ve been waiting on more deets about Britney Spears‘s forthcoming album. Recently we’ve gotten confirmation that the album is definitely going down, and we’ve learned that Brit-Brit will be all up in the studio with Hit Boy and (my girl!!!) Ester Dean– which means we can expect some very good things. With this new report, I think it’s fair to say that Britney is taking her return to music very (vurrry) seriously. A close source has confirmed that Britney Spears has quit her job as a judge on The X-Factor! Something tells me that everybody’s pretty much okay with that, lol. Click inside to learn more!

Taping for the season finale of The X-Factor has been going on for the last two days at CBS Television City in LA, and Britney Spears has been working a couple of all-black looks on the red carpet. The pop goddess (who’s got a new album in the works) looked really cute on the first day of the finale taping (in the black dress with the short sleeves), but I especially love this Bottega Veneta gown she rocked last night. I wish we had better shots of the dress, but you can totally see that it gives Britney this super-sleek, super-sexy look. And the cleavage ain’t lookin’ bad either, lol! Peep the gallery for more! Karma’s a slippery bag of groceries for Rupert Sanders‘s cheating ass faithfully-challenged self in this week’s edition of Best Celeb Photos. I also found another one of Richard Simmons… and it’s 1,000 times crazier than last week’s, lmao. It involved what I’m assuming is a giant leaf project, so there’s that to look forward to. Rihanna made yellow the new black in an ad for Barbados tourism and Lady Gaga was out, being Lady Gaga. Britwick, Christian Bale, and Justin Timberlake also made the gallery. OMG and the eye candy that is Matthew McConaughey (shout-out to PITNBr cowgirl) shirtless is up in there too. Some of you may not like Matty-boy, but everyone loves a good set of abs so, you’re welcome.

Britney, Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato and Antonio L.A. Reid are in Miami, FL for X Factor boot camp but they took time out of their bizzy schedule to promote the show for the TCA. The open auditions for the forthcoming second season of The X Factor have been completed. Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Antonio L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell completed their final round of judging for the open auditions in Greensboro, NC yesterday, bringing to a close many weeks of contestant performances. Now that the auditions phase has been completed, The X Factor has a new promo commercial ready for release. Britney Spears & Jason Trawick Take Her Sons To Maui, HI

Our dear Britney Spears has been bizzy over the past few weeks with her duties as judge on The X Factor. Just last week, she made her way to Rhode Island for another round of auditions. As I understand it, Britney is getting a bit of a reputation as a hard judge (tho, these reports are scattered and inconsistent, emanating from fans who hear bits and pieces of her judging style at these auditions) which, I have to say, seems very interesting to me. The assumption has been that Britney would be a push-over judge (a la Paula Abdul) so I’m charmed by the notion that she’s more of a hard ass. Nonetheless, softie or hard ass, Britney needs a bit of a vacay from all the hard work she’s been doing … so she bundled up her sons and her fiancée Jason Trawick and made her way to Maui, HI for a little holiday.
