Yesterday afternoon David and I got to hang out with our dear friends Emma and Josh for lunch and arts & crafts … for real. We met up with the dynamic duo at Fred Segal for late lunch and then came back to our place to paint figurines that Josh picked out for us. Afterward, we made our way to The Abbey to celebrate Daron’s mom’s birthday with an impromptu costume fete. To say we had the best day ever would be an EXTREME understatement. Earlier this week we saw photos of a very slimmed down Aretha Franklin sitting courtside with some famous sports friends at a NY Knicks basketball game and today we get to see Aretha celebrating her recent 69th birthday with a few of her other famous friends. Aretha, who reportedly lost 85 lbs. over the course of just a few months, looked mostly happy to be in the close company of her famous BFFs. Check out some photos from her soirée earlier this week.

Birthday Lurve goes out to Alyson Hannigan and her beautiful daughter Satyana today as the mommy/daughter duo each celebrate another year of life. Aly turns 37 and Satyana, if you can believe it, turns 2!! As a precursor to today’s birthday celebrations, Aly and Sati ventured out for a walk yesterday and shared some early Birthday Lurve with one another … in the most adorable way.

Last week we heard a rumor that enfianced couple Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are planning to be married in Ojai, CA this Saturday March 26 but before that big day comes, Reese had the little matter of her 35th birthday to tend to. Reese, her fiancee Jim and her children Ava Elizabeth & Deacon Reese made their way out to dinner in Brentwood, CA last night to celebrate her birthday yesterday. Despite their annoyance at being photographed, I’m sure the entire family had a nice night out together.

Birthday Lurve goes out to the micro-blogging social media site Twitter today as it celebrates it’s 5th birthday. By far, Twitter is my favorite of the social networking options available to me (yes, even over Facebook) so it is with great pleasure that I celebrate Twitter‘s 5th birthday/anniversary today.

Yesterday was a really fun day for me because I got to participate in a perfectly orchestrated surprise party for our dear friend David Russell. I had to play coy on the blog yesterday about my plans for last night because David’s adorably sweet boyfriend put together a huge surprise party. It was really a fabulous little soiree … with lots of great people, amazing music and one special birthday boy.

Eva Longoria, who is rumored to be moving in with her younger toyboy Eduardo Cruz in the wake of her divorce from hubby Tony Parker, made her way to Las Vegas, NV to celebrate her recent 36th birthday. Eva packed up her bags, her BFF Mario Lopez and her camera-shy new boyfriend and held court at Eve Nightclub inside the Aria Hotel and Casino at CityCenter on the LV strip … and she partied without once ounce of regret.

Twin babies Bob and Max Mueller-Sheen — the sons of estranged couple Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen — celebrated their 2nd birthday this weekend at a lavish birthday party held at the Bel Air mansion of Rick and Kathy Hilton. Brooke is currently filming a new reality TV show with her BFF Paris Hilton so the site of the twins’ party shouldn’t really come as a surprise. Also unsurprising is the news that daddy Charlie Sheen was NOT invited to the party. I suppose his crazy antics weren’t desired at the birthday party of twin baby boys.

Twilight star Ashley Greene celebrated her 24th birthday at Pure Nightclub inside the Caesar’s Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV this weekend with her popstar boyriend Joe Jonas. Clearly, the couple enjoyed themselves immensely in the VIP area of the club but Ashley reveals that it was the gift from Chanel that Joe gave her that really made her birthday special.

Birthday Lurve goes out today to the aging Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton who, today, turns 30 years old. As you may recall, yesterday we saw photos from Paris‘s early birthday party that was held in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday night but today is her actual birthday. That’s right, folks … the celebutante who made a name for herself with sex tapes and crotch shots is now a grown woman of 30.
