My Sunday turned out to be a very bizzy but extremely fun one. I had planned on taking it a bit easy but I received an invitation I couldn’t resist and I was reminded of an event I had purchased tickets for so … I had a full day. First, I made my way out to a friend’s home for a fun kid’s birthday party, then I met up with my friend Josh Rosebrook for a fantastic dinner. Once I was sated, I picked up Ollie and we made our way to the Aratani/ Japan America Theatre to attend an in-person appearance by David Byrne of Talking Heads and Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails for a conversation called Going it Solo: Music, Marketing and the Web. So, yeah, I’d say I had a really great Sunday. More »

Last night David and I were invited over to Tam and Rob’s home for an intimate birthday celebration for Rob with a small group of friends. Tam decided to host a whiskey tasting party for Rob and we all got to partake in the boozin’. She hired a very educated whiskey man to teach us more about whiskey then I knew was possible … but it was the eating and the drankin’ that was my favorite part of the night (oh yeah, and the camaraderie with my friends). Click below to see some fun photos from last night’s soirée. More »

Wow. What a bizzy day it’s been already around here in LA. After a few days of notsomuch to share in my TV Guide posts to OMG so much to share, I’m just really happy to have so much to talk about today. Last night was a fun night. David and I shared a quite birthday celebration together, which was very nice. I also got to hang out with Ollie in person and via Apple FaceTime as well. I also spent part of my night chatting with Emma and Darion on FaceTime, which was a lot of fun. Today, my iPhone 5 arrived just before the Space Shuttle Endeavor flew overhead here in LA on its arrival in SoCal where it will remain on display in a space museum. SO MUCH GOING ON and it’s only midday for me. OY! More »

After a quick 5K run here in Dearborn, MI yesterday, I made my way to the airport to pick up David who flew in from LA yesterday morning. He made it just in time for us all to head out to Downtown Plymouth, MI to celebrate Sarah’s birthday (which was last Tuesday). Because Plymouth is one of the poshier towns in MI, we were surrounded by candidates for the Bravo TV series The Real Housewives of Plymouth (should they ever decide to make such a show). We had so much fun on the town, it was a really fun way to celebrate Sarah’s birthday. More »

Paris, Prince, And Blanket Do Gary, Indiana
This summer has been a turbulent time for Paris, Prince, and Blanket (Prince), children of the late Michael Jackson. Between news of Paris‘s first movie and the custody situation (and alleged kidnapping of Katherine Jackson, their guardian) there’s been plenty of drama in the name of Jackson. Considering all of this, it was nice to see the kids out, wearing smiles and celebrating their father’s legacy on his birthday, August 29. The children visited their Dad’s hometown of Gary, Indiana and stopped to sign some photographs outside of the Jackson family home. Peep the gallery to see Paris, Prince, and Blanket getting their John Hancocks on. Since the city of Gary will celebrate Michael Jackson‘s birthday and memory over the next few days, I thought it was a nice gesture that the kids joined in. But some of us have also expressed concern over the children getting into the limelight too quickly. What do you guys think of the autograph signing? Was it a good idea for Paris, Prince, and Blanket to participate, or do the Jackson‘s need to keep the children out of the public eye for a while?

Last night in London, Ryan Lochte dried himself off, covered up his Speedo and made his way to Planet Hollywood to celebrate his 28th birthday with friends and fans. Now that Ryan‘s swimming events at the London 2012 Olympic Games are finished, he can get on with the partying. Even tho it’s much more fun to see photos of Ryan when he’s wet and wearing next to nothing, you might want to click below to see what homie looks like when he’s all dressed up in a spiffy suit. Oh, Will! You’ve brought us so much joy over the years, from your time at Saturday Night Live to your glorious performances in Old School and Anchorman. There are times in my life that I simply would not have made it through, were it not for the deleted scenes on the extended version of Step Brothers. We thank you for your contribution to the well-being of our society and we celebrate the legacy of Ron Burgundy and your many other unforgettable characters, inside.
