Brace yourselves, y’all … cuz what I’m about to share with you is … unsettling … to say the least. Rumor Fix was in this hiz this week at Dina Lohan‘s 49th birthday party in NYC and they managed to snap photos of Dina and daughter Lindsay Lohan sharing a kiss for the special occasion. But it wasn’t your run-of-the-mill sweet kiss between mother and daughter … the open mouth smooch looked, well, less than sweet. What’s worse is that Dina‘s youngest son Dakota Cody Lohan was seating right next to Dina and Linds while they made out for the cameras. Ugh, as if the poor kid hasn’t suffered enough being a Lohan. Labor Day yesterday turned to be a very chill, very fun day. Tam and Rob hosted a Labor Day BBQ at their home and we decided to swing by for a bit … and ended up hanging all afternoon/evening/night. Tam will be celebrating her birthday on Friday but yesterday’s party was turned into an impromptu early birthday celebration for her … complete with TWO birthday cakes :) A grand time was had by all … absolutely. In honor of the late Freddie Mercury‘s 65th birthday today, Google is honoring the legendary rock singer with a Google Doodle that celebrates his September 5th birthday with a very cute video animation. BUT, because of a conflict with Labor Day, the Freddie Doodle won’t go online until tomorrow … but we get to check it out in full today right here. As you may know, Google routinely celebrates culturally significant events by changing their logo in tribute to those events. In recent months, Google has taken some of those tributes one step further by incorporating animation and/or user interactivity. The Google Doodle in honor of Freddie must be seen rather than explained … check it out below.

Birthday Lurve goes out to day to the absolute Queen of Pop — Madonna! Our Lady of Popular Music is turning a beautiful 53 years young today which is cause for much jubilant celebration. As you may know, Maddy‘s new film W.E. is due to premiere at film festivals soon and she is currently hard at work recording her next album. Just yesterday, we saw photos of her holidaying in the Hamptons with her youngest children — David Banda and Chifundo Mercy James — and much younger toyboy Brahim Zaibat. It sounds like Madonna is having herself a GREAT birthday this year!

It is with great love, great pride and a wee bit of sadness that I share with y’all the happy news that my beautiful goddaughter Princess Zakiya is celebrating her 6th birthday today. Love, pride and happiness because she is growing into a beautiful little lady … but wee sadness because she’s no longer my little baby. Princess Z will be staring the First Grade this Fall (!!!) and to celebrate her new maturity, she did a photoshoot with my friend Agnes Fischer of Bella Moon Photography in Dearborn, MI. At the stroke of midnight 30 years ago today — August 1, 1981 — MTV, known as Music Television, aired its first broadcast and its first music video for a song called Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles. At that moment, history was made and the face of pop culture was changed forever. Today, 30 years later, MTV (no longer referred to as “Music Television“) is completely unrecognizable as the channel it was when it debuted … but it’s influence on the modern world can still be felt (if, at the very least, in other ways). Last night David and I made our way out to Echo Park to celebrate our friend Margaret‘s birthday. The night started out with a pizza party at Masa of Echo Park and then finished out at Margaret and Chris’s place nearby. The food was to die … TO DIE. The afterparty was superfun. Margaret and Chris were locked in an epic battle of wills where only one would emerge victorious … it was quite the spirited game of Jenga, y’all.

After spending an amazing night with an amazing group of friends on Monday night, I spent my actual birthday yesterday with David at Disneyland. I had so much fun at Disney last year that I wanted to recreate that magic this year … and we did … in spades. I really had a fantastic birthday … mostly due to being able to spend it with David, my real life Prince Charming :)

Last night, one day before my actual birthday today, David organized a fun get together drinks thing at Saint Felix in Hollywood, CA with a few of my very close, beloved LA friends. As much as I’m not really all that excited about turning another year older (ugh), being able to hang out with all of my friends all in one place at the same time is deffo worth celebrating my birthday. Because we went crazy with the Polaroid camera, I totally failed to snap any photos with a digitial camera … or even my iPhone … but I can assure you, a great time was had by all :)

Late last week we learned the surprising news that Jersey Shore castmember Vinny Guardino packed his bags and moved OUT of the Jersey Shore house and left the show altogether just a few days after the cast convened in Seaside Heights, NJ to begin filming season 5 of the show. Today, in happier news, we learn that Vinny‘s departure has not put a damper on the JS festivities. Paul Pauly D Delvecchio was joined by family and friends yesterday to celebrate his birthday … which, undoubtedly, will be captured on film for the show.
