The fabulous Betty White will celebrate her 90th birthday next Tuesday January 17 but on Monday the 16th, NBC will pay homage to the enduring Golden Girl with a TV special called Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl. This birthday special will feature a host of celebrity stars that will share their Birthday Lurve for our dear Betty. Additionally, the Betty Crocker company is also celebrating their 90th birthday this year … and they graciously provided a massively festive birthday cake for Betty White‘s NBC birthday celebration. Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, got themselves all dolled up for the London premiere of the new Steven Spielberg film War Horse over the weekend and as good Brits, they were well prepared to deal with the rain. Wills and Kate, dressed to the nines, arrived on the red carpet this weekend armed with an umbrella that Wills carried to protect Kate. David Beckham and family are currently in London, England where they celebrated the recent Xmas holiday and will, presumably, remain until the New Year next week. Last night, Becks and wife Victoria Beckham were on hand to help his little sister Joanne Beckham celebrate her 30th birthday … a bit early. Jo doesn’t turn 30 until February but she decided to take advantage of having her brother Becks in town to get the celebration started early. Last night my friend Jen and I went out for an early birthday dinner date to get the jump on celebrating her birthday today :) I haven’t been able to hang out with Jen for a few weeks because she’s been bizzy with work all over Europe so it was nice that we were able to get together and hang for a bit to catch up … and celebrate. Jen wanted to try Night + Market so that’s where we went for our birthday dinner date.

A couple of weeks ago, our dear Britney Spears celebrated her 30th birthday. This week, Britney‘s loverman Jason Trawick celebrated his 40th birthday … and in honor of his turning the big 4-0, Britney presented him with a pretty kick-ass gift. As you may know, Jason rode a pretty sweet motorcycle in Britney‘s music video for Criminal. He looked so good on the bike that Britney decided to buy him one of his own. Madonna‘s manager Guy Oseary updated her official Facebook profile with a fun little piece of music today. No, the song is not from Madonna‘s upcoming new album … no, it’s a rendition of Happy Birthday that was sung by Madonna and M.I.A. to Nicki Minaj on the set of the music video for Give Me All Your Love. Our dear Britney Spears may have turned 30 years old last week but she saved her bday celebrations for this week. Britney will perform the final show of her hugely successful Femme Fatale Tour tonight in Puerto Rico but last night she was the guest of honor at an end of tour / belated birthday party bash. Ian Somerhalder, one of the principle stars of The Vampire Diaries, is celebrating his 33rd birthday today and in celebration he has released a personal video on You Tube that is addressed to, well, YOU. In the video, Ian explains that year after year he has been the lucky recipient of birthday gifts from fans but this year, he is asking for something else. Ian is hoping that YOU will make a donation to his charitable foundation in lieu of sending him a birthday gift and in return, he is planning to personally and individually thank every single person who donates. Yesterday was a superfun day for me … altho my plans to go to Disneyland fell thru, I was able to enjoy a really fun day with my dear friend Kirsten and a really fun night with my dear friend Jordan. Kirsten is visiting LA for the week after she moved back to Australia for medical school a couple of years ago and yesterday was my first chance to hang out with her. We spent the day in Santa Monica before meeting up with Jordan and his friends for a belated birthday dinner at Lucques. All in all, it was a really great way to spend a day and night.

Because of a really tight schedule yesterday, I didn’t have much time to get much work done … and absolutely no time to write up a TV Guide post … so today’s post will be a bit of a wrap up post. As you may recall, Sarah and I got to see Tori Amos live in concert for her second NYC show on Saturday night … then afterward, we met up with David’s sister Eden and her friends for some late night birthday drinks. Yesterday morning, we made our way down to China Town for a Dim Sum birthday brunch and then … it was time for David and me to fly home.
