Superstar DJ Samantha Ronson was spotted out and about this week … on a playdate with a friend and the friend’s little daughter. Now, it’s not uncommon to see celebs playing with kids at the park but I don’t think that we’re used to seeing Sam lookin’ all cute in playdate mode. I am used to seeing Samantha rockin’ out behind the DJ decks, smirking for the camera … but with babe in arms? It’s a new look for her … and I really like it :D

Earlier this year, Twilight actor Taylor Lautner was spotted hanging out with Academy Award winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black and famed indie director Gus Van Sant (Taylor and Gus even attended a Cirque du Soleil performance together). At the time, rumors started to swirl that something was going on between the men … that they were planning a film collaboration of some sort. Today, we learn that those rumors have turned out to be true. The Hollywood Reporter has published an article claiming that Lautner and Van Sant are working on a film project together. HMMM … it sounds to me like someone is looking to distance himself from his tween star image in the hopes that he can enjoy a successful indie film career make-over.

Last night was a pretty fun Hallowe’en for David and me. We decided to dress up as Maverick and Goose from Top Gun and spend our night hanging with a few friends, both new and old. First, we went over to Gillian and Tim’s place to spend some time with 4 week old Gemma on her first Hallowe’en and then we made our way to the Burtka-Harris Halloween Spooktacular. Our good friends Emma and Josh are BFF with NPH and his fiancée David so we were invited to ring in the Pagan New Year at their place. It was a night of thrills, chills and good times. Last night was a fun night of playing dress-up for Hallowe’en so that means that today we get to see a bunch of really fun costumes worn by some of our fave celebs. First up, we have a pretty fantastic photo of Zac Efron (who was celebrating Hallowe’en with his BFFs Aly and AJ Michalka) dressed up as Lieutenant Jim Dangle from the TV series Reno 911. Those you familiar with the character of Lt. Dangle know that he is famous for his mirrored sunglasses, his porn’stache and his super short hot pants shorts. On Thomas Lennon (who plays Dangle on Reno 911) the shorts are a bit horrifying … on Zac, they are quite the opposite.

Last week Beyoncé graced us with a music video for her song Love On Top. In that clip, she performs the song with a group of male back-up singers in the spirit of acts like the Jackson 5. Today, she graces us again with another music video … this time for her song Party. This new clip was directed by Bey herself (with a little help from Alan Ferguson) and features guest appearances by her younger sister Solange and former Destiny’s Child member & BFF Kelly Rowland. As you can see below, Beyoncé‘s Party takes place in an uberfabulous trailer park … cuz, apparently, that’s how Beyoncé rolls. Check it out.

Yesterday we saw photos of Jake Gyllenhaal chillin’ with his family in NYC over the weekend but it would seem that he also found some time to hang out with one of his dear friends. Jake was in attendance to lend his support to his Brokeback Mountain co-star Michelle Williams at the New York Film Festival 2011 premiere of her new film My Week with Marilyn. The very beefy Hugh Jackman has made his way back to Australia for a bit of rest, relaxing and training ahead of his upcoming promo tour for his new film Real Steel. If you’re lucky, you get to spend your weekends doing relaxing stuff like sitting around or taking leisurely walks with your beloved ones … but if you’re a working actor, it may be difficult to enjoy such free time. Ryan Gosling has been so bizzy this year making movie after movie after movie that I am always very surprised to see him enjoy any free time at all. Just yesterday we saw photos of Ryan hard a work on his latest film Gangster Squad.
