While we wait to hear about any movement on an official Friends reunion, Entertainment Weekly brings us the great news that Lisa Kudrow has officially signed on to do a guest stint on Courteney Cox-Arquette’s new hit sitcom Cougar Town!

It’s not an actual Friends reunion, but I’ll take it: Lisa Kudrow has signed on to guest star opposite ex-Friend Courteney Cox on Cougar Town, an ABC spokesperson confirms. “She’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though [she's] mean to me,” Cox told tvguidemagazine.com. The Cox-Kudrow reunion episode will shoot next month and air in early 2010.

And this is how Cox described Kudow’s character to TV Guide:

“If it all works out, she’ll play a dermatologist that my character can’t stop going to even though the doctor is mean to me.” Is it a Botox thing? The show’s writers are not exactly sure yet, says Cox, who’s also producing the show, “but whatever it is, she’s the best in town at what she does and I become addicted.”

It turns out that both Matthew Perry and Jennifer Aniston have been considered as future guest stars … this is what Courteney had to say about the prospect of having other former Friends castmates appear on the show:

“I did ask Matthew [Perry] if he’d play my boyfriend on the show,” she says, “but he thought it was a little too much after Chandler and Monica.” Then there’s Jennifer Aniston, whom Cox has remained closest with among the Friends stars. “I’d love for her to be on the show, too,” Cox says. “Obviously we can’t cast her so close to Lisa’s appearance but if there’s a great part for her, I’d send it right away. She’s younger than me so she can’t play my contemporary even though she did on Friends, but I think we can find something great for her to play.”

This is all very exciting stuff to mebbe look forward to … but for now, I’m perfectly content with having Phoebe and Monica together again … er, Lisa and Courteney, that is ;) The Friends reunion may never actually take place but in the meantime, we have Cougar Town to enjoy!

Well, well, WELL now … what have we here??? It turns out that young singer Taylor Swift and young actor Taylor Lautner got together last night to attend the LA Kings vs. Columbus Blue Jackets hockey game at the Staples Center here in LA … could this be a sign that the Taylors are hooking up to become Young Hollywood’s hottest new couple???

This photo of Taylor² was posted on Twitter by the official NHL Twitter profile but I was given the head’s up of this hook-up by Pink reader Melissa on Twitter. HMMM. At this point, it’s impossible to know if these two are “just friends” or if they are something more. You may recall that Taylor Lautner was hanging out with Selena Gomez earlier this year and nothing really came from their fraternization … but where Taylena failed, perhaps Taylor² will succeed? How disgustingly cute would it be if the Taylors really did start dating? Ugh. Are y’all ready for that?

Earlier this week, Bravo TV aired the second season finale of The Real Housewives of Atlanta (which, to be honest, I found wholly and entirely boring) and announced that the Atlanta Housewives reunion would be aired in two parts starting next week. Clearly some fence-mending took place at the reunion (or shortly thereafter) because once-friends, then bitter enemies and costars NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak were spotted all chummy as BFFs again at Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA last night:

You may recall that earlier this year Kim alleged that NeNe tried to “choke her out” while the two were in production of the second season of The Real Housewives but that incident (whether it really happened or not) seems now to be water under the bridge. I suppose it’s nice that the ladies have kissed and made up (well, hugged) but with this good news … comes bad news … very, very bad news.

I have it on good authority that Kim Zolciak does NOT like to wear underwear … and now YOU are going to have it on the very same HORRIFYING authority. Kim managed to flash her naughty nasty bits as she get out of her car to meet up with NeNe at Mr. Chow last night … and horror or horrors … it is NOT a pretty sight:

Here are a few fun photos of Michael Jackson’s eldest children Prince Michael Joseph and Paris Michael Katherine along with their nanny Grace Rwaramba, the illustrious Elizabeth Taylor and various Jackson cousins enjoying a night of fun at Universal Studios Horror Nights in Studio City, CA last night. I presume that Prince Michael Joseph, II aka Blanket was there last night as well but he is not featured in any of the photos … behold:

Not only is it great to see the kids spending time with Liz Taylor (who MJ loved dearly in life) but it’s pretty fantastic to see Liz out and about so soon after her recent hospitalization. That woman is amazing … so wonderful to see her out and about. Obvs, she did not ride any of the rides with the kiddies but she was there to share the night with them … something I’m sure MJ appreciated very much wherever in the ethos he is right now. MJ’s kids may enjoy a happy Hallowe’en after all, despite their painful loss. It really looks like they have a great support system taking care of them … let’s just hope the exploitative people who have access to them are kept at bay. Don’t they all look great?

John Mayer, Twitter aficionado extraordinaire, gave an interview to MTV and talked at some length about how he can totally understand why popstar Miley Cyrus would feel the need to delete her Twitter account. While Mayer makes it very clear that he would never let anyone force him to quit Twitter (saying he would rather tell the world to “eat [his] asshole” before he’d delete his account) he also says he can identify and can understand why she would choose to. Nearly two weeks after Miley Cyrus quit Twitter, John Mayer sounds off what he has in mind about her abrupt departure from the micro-blogging site. To MTV News the rock singer shares, “I think she’s smart enough to realize there is some interference of the brain that she doesn’t want to deal with. Artists have enough to deal with.” “She’s a child, she’s a fantastic artist – I think there’s enough mental real estate being taken up by dealing with all of that stuff,” John continues stating. “For whatever reason, I am old enough and smart enough to tell someone to go fuck themselves if they tell me to go fuck myself. I think if you’re in Miley’s situation, it might take a little too much time to play goalie for your own heart and mind. So I totally get it.” “Miley is somebody who’s made a bunch of money doing something she loves. Most people do things they hate, for less money. If somebody can re-purpose something that somebody loves doing for a lot of money, in order to make a little bit of that money, they’re gonna do it,” John goes on explaining. “So nobody hates Miley Cyrus; they’re just picking up on her brand, re-purposing it, to try to make a little bit of Miley cash. It’s damaging people’s minds. Imagine Shannen Doherty with a Twitter account, back in the ‘90210′ days. That would’ve just flat-out killed her.” Asked if he has ever thought of deleting his Twitter account, John jokingly tells MTV News, “I would rather tell the world to eat my asshole before I would delete my Twitter account.” Miley Cyrus deleted her Twitter account in a sudden on Wednesday, October 7 and provided no single explanation for fans. She later on released a YouTube video in which she rapped her reason for quitting the popular social networking site, citing the need for privacy.

HMMM … when Mayer says that Miley is a child, he is absolutely correct … I don’t know that I agree with much more, tho. It’s very clear that he is a big Twitter lover (in fact, it is reported that his fervent tweeting is what killed his relationship with Jennifer Aniston earlier this year) and it’s obvs that he loves talking about it as much as possible. I love that John is sticking up for Miley Cyrus tho … in the grand scheme of life it’s such a non-issue but to have John Mayer chime in with his $0.02 makes all the difference in the world.

David Beckham, who is in the UK these days doing his duty for the English football team, spent a night out on the town partying with his footballer cohorts after Team England won their soccer match against Belarus last night. The England team were in high spirits last night after beating Belarus 3-0 at Wembley. None more so than David Beckham, who hit up a series of London bars until 3am this morning with football agent and best friend Dave Gardner. The 35-year-old sportsman enjoyed a marathon night on the tiles while Victoria was thousands of miles away on the other side of the Atlantic in Los Angeles. It came as rare opportunity for Becks to let his hair down as he is usually accompanied by his wife on social occasions since his alleged affair with Rebecca Loos in 2004. The father-of-three started his night at upmarket restaurant Nobu, before going on to exclusive club Bungalow 8. He finally left at 3.15am. And he certainly didn’t get much sleep because hours later at 7.45am he was seen arriving at Heathrow. He was making his trip back to Los Angeles to join his wife Victoria and their three children.

What a party animal!! Yes, as we already know … wifey Victoria Beckham is here in SoCal tending to the kiddies (you may remember we saw her all decked out in a ridiculous leather outfit at a school fair this week) but good ol’ Becks is already winging his way back home. As I mentioned before, I’m likin’ this new facial hair on Becks … he looks good all scruffy. I’m also very glad he got to chill out with his hot footballer friends … it looks like it was a fun night out.

Celebs of varying stature and fame made their way to Avery Fisher Hall in Lincoln Center in NYC, NY last night to attend the 2009 American Ballet Theatre Gala. Musician Rufus Wainwright, who tends to have more of an affinity for opera, was in attendance as well as Gossip Girl newbie Joanna Garcia and BFFs Natalie Portman & Mila Kunis. The newly single Emmy Rossum (who filed for divorce from her hubby a couple of weeks ago) showed up on the arm of Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons:

Oh wait, I’m sorry … Emmy showed up with Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz, not Sideshow Bob … sorry about that. But, c’mon, you can see how I got confused. It’s nice to see young celebs taking an interest in the arts … why, David and I attended a ballet performance of Romeo and Juliet here in LA just this last July for my birthday. I sincerely hope the celebs who attended last night’s gala affair did so out of an honest appreciation for dance rather than an available opportunity to dress up and pose in their finery for a photo op.
