When last we saw Gerard Butler, he was leaving Mexico via private plane along with his vacation mate Jennifer Aniston (whom he had been sharing a nice few days with in Cabo San Lucas in the days before their departure) and it turns out that he since made his way to Rio de Janerio to participate in the Carnival celebrations going on there. A few weeks ago, before his holiday with Aniston, Gerard happily met and smooched a stranger on the streets of Venice, CA … while in Rio, it would seem that he was up for stranger smooching again:

Just a week ago, Gerard Butler was toasting his ‘close friend’ Jennifer Aniston’s 41st birthday by the pool in Mexico. But as he spent Valentine’s Day surrounded by a bevy of scantily-clad beauties in Brazil yesterday, it looked like the Hollywood actress was the last person on his mind … Dressed in white, which highlighted his Mexico tan, Butler got into the carnival spirit as he danced with local ladies. But Butler declined to join in the drinking of refreshing Caipirinha cocktails because he’s been teetotal for 13 years. After watching the parade at the Sambadrome earlier that day, Butler was seen partying until the early hours at the five-star Copacabana Palace Hotel last night. Having worn a white mask for Phantom Of The Opera several years ago, Butler opted for a more colourful gold mask this time. He was spotted enjoying the attentions of stunning Brazilian soap star and pin-up Rita Guedes, 38, who showed off her figure in a hot pink, low-cut satin dress. At one point, Guedes got out her mobile phone and started typing on it, suggesting she may have got Butler’s number.

He is such a cad. I hope Jen isn’t stayin’ up night waiting for Gerry to call cuz, well, he looks otherwise occupied these days. Gerard did spend some time down in Rio hanging out with a BFF from one of his old movies. Find out who, after the jump …

Madonna and Jesus Luz, newly reunited in Brazil this week after reports spread of the end of their romantic affiliation, spent some time together in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last night getting into the pre-Carnival spirit. Madonna & Child stepped out for a semi-quiet dinner together before they hit the streets of Rio to get their party on:

She’s been hitting the clubs since her Studio 54 days in New York in the Seventies. So Madonna could be forgiven for wanting to put her feet up these days with a cup of cocoa. But the mother of four obviously feels there is still enough petrol in the tank to party. And who better to hit the dance floor with in Rio De Janeiro last night than toyboy lover Jesus Luz? Unfortunately, the singer looked more like a reluctant mum dragged along to a frat party as she watched Jesus, 23, strip to the waist and dance in the sweaty venue with his friends. While Jesus got into the groove, Madge stuck to the sidelines, leaving the dancing to the much younger club-goers. That was hardly surprising. After all, she was more than double the age of the average clubgoer at the Circus Nightclub and at times appeared a little sleepy and withdrawn. After getting their music fix, the couple were escorted to a waiting car and driven back to their hotel.

Aww … poor Madge … trying to hang in there with the youngn’s. Bless her heart. Before Maddy had to be put down to bed, Jesus was photographed giving Madonna something to suck on right there on the streets, for anyone to see — after the jump, check out those photo to see what exactly was going on …

Unlike almost every other celeb on Earth, Jennifer Aniston is NOT in Miami, FL for the Super Bowl weekend … instead, she has made her way South of the Border to celebrate her 41st birthday (which is actually next Thursday February 11) with her rumored paramour Gerard Butler and couple of her BFFs. As you may recall, we last we saw Butler, he was mackin’ on a lovely female street performer here in SoCal while Jen was nowhere to be seen. I guess he is back to mackin’ on Jen these days. Here are a few pics and some deets from Jennifer Aniston’s Mexican holiday with her crew:

Jennifer Aniston headed to one of her favorite getaway spots, Los Cabos, Mexico, where the actress is getting a jump start celebrating her 41st birthday – Aniston’s big day is actually Feb. 11 – with a group of friends. But this year, she had a surprise birthday guest: Gerard Butler, her costar in the upcoming comedy, The Bounty Hunter. Last month, the two were spotted laughing and spending a lot of time together at the Golden Globes. Aniston flew a large group of pals including Butler, Courteney Cox, her husband David Arquette and Sheryl Crow, whose birthday is also Feb. 11, to the One & Only Palmilla resort Thursday evening where the group is staying in a beautiful waterfront villa. Friday, there was one thing on the agenda: fun in the sun! Aniston showed off her famously fabulous figure in a bikini as the pals lounged on the patio.

Back with Gerry, eh Jen? I guess we know what she really wants for her birthday … she wants some hot man lurve :) It looks like Jen’s birthday holiday is a lot of fun … it was nice of her to bring along Sheryl Crow, especially since it has just been announced that Crow will be guest starring in future eps of Courteney Cox-Arquette’s ABC show Cougar Town. I wonder if Jen will ever show up in Cougar Town? In any event, there is still a bit of time before Jen’s birthday actually arrives … I hope she and her crew stay in Mexico to celebrate. I’d love to see more pics of them celebratin’ her birthday together.

Celebrities of varying stature and caliber have made their way to Miami, FL this weekend to partake of the Super Bowl XLIV activities (like the Rock ‘N Soul party at the Hard Rock DJed by Pete Wentz last night) which means that the city is teeming with famous folk. Yesterday afternoon, Rihanna — who played a Pepsi Smash concert in Miami on Thursday night — ran into La Diva Latina herself, Jenifer Lopez, by the pool at the Fontainebleau Hotel and sparked up a fast friendship:

Now I’m not sure what Ri Ri and J. Lo might have in common to talk about but I’m sure that two pop divas might have a few things to chat about. Mebbe Rihanna asked J. Lo what it was like to be a huge megastar and J. Lo seethed with jealousy over the loss of her glory days. The Fontainebleau isn’t a new hotel but it already has a reputation for attracting a very famous clientele, which means that famous folks like this are always running into one another. I wonder who else might be running into one another by the pool this weekend. HMMM.

Things have been going very well for Betty White these days … not only did she just celebrate her 88th birthday but was she just honored at the Screen Actors Guild Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award AND she also has the honor of being in the first commercial shown during the SuperBowl this coming Sunday. Not too shabby, huh? Fellow Golden Girl Rue McClanahan is having a bit rougher of a time lately, as you may recall she is currently recovering from a recent stroke. But, don’t expect Betty to put on the kid gloves where Rue is concerned, Ms. White is adamant about becoming the last Golden Girl left standing and she wants Rue to know it:

Betty White is serious about being the final Golden Girl standing. After the deaths of Estelle Getty and Bea Arthur, Betty and actress Rue McClanahan are the last surviving stars of the beloved television sitcom The Golden Girls. Earlier this year, Rue, 75, suffered a stroke that has kept her hospitalized for weeks. Naturally, 88-year-old pal Betty was there to offer her well wishes for a speedy recovery; she sent Rue a heartfelt message which read: “Dear Rue, I hope you hurry up and die so I can be the last Golden Girl left. NOT KIDDING!” But don’t worry, Rue thought the card was hilarious! Apparently “Drop Dead” is a term of endearment between these two.

I love the Golden Girls ladies more than anything but this is sick and wrong. LOL! I suppose when good friends reach advanced age, they need to really go for the jugular when they razz one another. It pains me to think of Rue in recovery but it sounds like this “drop dead” joke between her and Betty is a dear joke that is very likely good for her soul. I’m hoping for the day, hopefully soon, when we learn of Rue’s full recovery so that she can dish the jokes back Betty’s way. It’s nice to know that these older gals still have the zest of life. I want them both to live forever.

Lance Bass and Joey Fatone go back a long way … the guys have been BFFs since their days in *NSync and, it turns out, they are still as close as ever. The boy band bros recently jetted off together to the Westin Dawn Beach Resort & Spa in St. Maarten to enjoy a little holiday together. As you can see from the following photo, the BFFs had themselves a great time:

While Victoria Beckham is gracing the cover of Glamour magazine this week, hubby David Beckham is off in Milan, Italy hangin’ with some friends including comedian James Corden lookin’ like he was having the time of his life … behold:

By the look on his face, James Corden may well be getting his hands on David Beckham to give him a massage. The Gavin & Stacey star was spotted dining with Becks in Milan yesterday where the pair talked about doing another charity sketch together, this time for Sport Relief. It could see the rotund comic’s character Smithy giving the sportsman a massage. The 31-year-old star has revealed he is working hard to get Beckham on board, following their Comic Relief effort last year. It saw Smithy give members of the England football team, including Beckham, a pep talk. Becks, 34, is keen to get involved this time round, but is only free on the day Corden is filming his new quiz show. Corden said: ‘I hope he’s going to be involved in the sketch. ‘Amazingly the one date he could do, I can’t do. So we’re trying to rearrange it.’ The scene, due to be aired on 19 March, will also feature F1 champion Andy Murray, Ashes hero Andrew Flintoff and 15-year-old diver Tom Daley.

I’m not sure I understand entirely what is going on but if it involves David Beckham and a televised massage, I’m totally for it. It’s really great seeing him look so happy … I’m sure he misses his family here in the US while he is so far away but at least we know he’s passing the time with good friends. A smiling Becks is an even hotter Becks, yes? Love him!!
