The Avengers won’t be in theaters until May but the movie tie-in products are already well in production. Very soon, we will be able to buy action figures, lunch boxes, t-shirts and Happy Meals with The Avengers on them. One of the coolest product tie-ins I’ve seen thus far is a 3D movie poster. A couple of weeks ago, we learned that promotion for the upcoming theatrical release of The Hunger Games would include a curious new website called Capitol Couture. Today we learn that Capitol Couture has officially opened for business and that the site is set up as a webzine for the stylish side of The Hunger Games. The fictional character Effie Trinket (played by Elizabeth Banks) is featured on the just launched site and if you click below, you’ll get a taste of what the site has in store for Hunger Games fans.

Yesterday it was reported that the babydaddy paternity suit leveled against popstar Justin Bieber had been dismissed after the the alleged babymama’s legal team quit her case. Today we learn that the paternity case against Bieber is back on … because the alleged babymama hired a new legal team and they vow to continue the crusade against The Biebs. BUT, according to TMZ, new information has come to light that could seriously jeopardize the claim that Bieber is a babydaddy. The drama is back on, y’all. Baby, Baby, Baby.

Last week we learned that our dear Britney Spears will be releasing a new music video for her single Criminal this week but yesterday she gifted us with a series of AMAZING animated gifs that give us our first taste of the final video. With the release of these animations, Britney reminds us that the video will be released “this week” but we still don’t know exactly when. Glee star Chord Overstreet paid a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show today to chat with Ellen a bit about his show and whatnot and got inspired mid-interview to take off his pants to show off his underwear. Chord wore Ellen underwear under his jeans and decided to show off what his butt looks like in that underwear. Check out the video below.

Last night was a pretty EPIC night for me … after all, not only was it my 5 year anniversary with David but it was also the WORLD PREMIERE debut of Britney Spears‘s new music video for Hold It Against Me (please don’t ask which is the more exciting of the two). For the most part, yesterday was filled with last minute preparations for our upcoming anniversary trip to NYC and then Berlin but we did manage to get down to a bit of celebrating last night.

It’s official! Last July we learned that animator Mike Judge was planning to revive his hit 90′s animated series Beavis & Butt-Head on MTV and today we learn that new eps of the show are officially a go. MTV announced this week its line-up of new shows for 2011 and Beavis & Butt-Head was at the top of the list.

I kept things pretty low key yesterday. After 5 straight nights out on the town last week and into the weekend, I decided I needed a day off. Waking up with a sore throat was not fun but I did manage to fend it off for the rest of the day (God Bless, Luden’s). Because I stayed home all day, I got caught up on some TV, watched a few movies and — of course — spun a few records.

So, I’ve made considerable progress in my attempt to finish Pokémon SoulSilver, the video game that is CONSUMING MY LIFE. I managed to catch the elusive Red Gyarados, earn all 8 Gym Badges AND add the legendary Pokémon Lugia to my collection:

I was under the assumption that all I needed to do was beat the Elite Four and the big boss Lance … but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Not only is there still a lot of work for me to do before I finish the last phases of the game … but after I finish, a WHOLE NEW WORLD of gameplay unlocks … meaning I’ll only be halfway done! I’m telling you, Pokémon games have gotten much more complicated in the past 10 years. You really get your money’s worth with these new video games. ONE MORE THING: Starting tomorrow October 15 until October 30 Nintendo is holding a Wifi Event where you can download a Level 5 Mew to your SoulSilver or HeartGold games … click HERE for all the deets. So, yeah, I’m pretty much looking at many many many more days ahead of video game play.

But … not tonight. Tonight, David and I will be heading out to the Mayan Theater downtown to see M.I.A. live in concert:

M.I.A. is touring with Rye Rye and they will be rockin’ LA tonight. I am so excited. It’s been a few years since I last saw M.I.A. in concert so I’m really looking forward to seeing her again. Woot!

Yesterday afternoon David and I met up with our good friend Josh at Dodger Stadium to take in an afternoon baseball game together … we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather or a better vantage point. For the first time, we decided to watch the game from the bleacher seats and we had the best time ever!

I am happy to report that after trailing for the ENTIRE game, the Dodgers came back late in the game to tie up the score with the Colorado Rockies to add extra innings to the game … then the Dodgers ended up pulling out a win in the 11th inning by a score of 7-6. It was a really fantastic day.

But today is an even MORE fantastic day because it is David’s 27th birthday today!!
