She's still not that innocent
It’s hard to believe but Britney Spears‘s music video for Oops!… I Did It Again was released 15 years ago today back in 2000. Oops!, as you may know, was the first single from Britney‘s second album of the same name and was world premiered on an episode of Making The Video on MTV (remember that show?). I distinctly remember watching the show with my BFF Sarah back home in Michigan and altho I was already a big Britney fan, the Oops! video won me over completely. Sarah and I saw our first Britney Spears concert (from the front row!) when she launched her Oops!… I Did It Again Tour and I’ve never looked back … well, until now. It’s crazy to think that 15 years has passed since Britney squeezed into her red rubber bodysuit and took us to Mars but watching the video again (for the umpteenth millionth time) today, it’s easy to see how our dear Britney Spears became one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. Happy Birthday, Oops!
Taylor Swift, the reigning pop star of the moment, has apparently grown tired of being photographed by paparazzi photographers because she has come up with a brilliant way to avoid being photographed by said photographers. While making her way out of the home of a friend here in LA to her waiting car, Taylor utilized her new method of avoid being photographed expertly. Check out the video above to see how she does it. Ingenious, no?

Taylor Swift LOVED Kanye's performance
Last year, a snippet of Kanye West‘s new song All Day made the rounds online but tonight at the 2015 BRIT Awards, he debuted the song in full with a fiery live performance. Like Madonna and Taylor Swift, Kanye was one of the featured performers on the BRITs tonight and as you can see above, he delivered a really fantastic performance. I have to admit, I like this performance a lot … and I really love the song. And it would appear that I am not alone. Taylor Swift, Kanye‘s new BFF, also enjoyed his performance at The BRIT Awards tonight … click below to see just how much she enjoyed Kanye‘s live performance of All Day. More »
"I'm not a homophobic but that gay couple just ruined The Walking Dead"
AMC introduced a pair of gay characters on The Walking Dead this past Sunday night who showed their love and affection for one another when they shared a kiss on screen. Aaron and his parter Eric are characters introduced in The Walking Dead comic book series years ago so it is really great that after 5 1/2 seasons, the TV series has finally introduced them to the show. But, while many people, like me, were happy to see these gay characters share a kiss on TV, a bunch of homophobic idiots took to Twitter to voice their displeasure. A collection of the more colorful, yet horribly offensive and NSFW Twitter comments are collected below in order to bring attention to the fact that homophobic hatred continues to thrive despite the huge strides our culture has taken toward the progression of equal treatment of all people. Our dear Britney Spears hosted a very special guest backstage at her Piece Of Me show at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV last night when her former BFF Melissa Joan Hart stopped by to see her show. Melissa was in Vegas yesterday to promote her new line of boys’ apparel King of Harts at the Magic trade show. Britney and Melissa, as you may recall, were practically inseparable way back in the late ’90s / early ’00s right around the time that Britney recorded the music video for (You Drive Me) Crazy, which was used as the theme song for Melissa‘s 1999 movie Drive Me Crazy. Melissa appeared in Britney‘s music video and a BFFship was born. Click below to see the photo that Britney and Melissa snapped last night in Vegas and then check out a few #ThrowbackThursday photos I scrounged up that showed just how close Brit and Mel were back in the day. Inspired, I think, by Missy Misdemeanor Elliott‘s return to the public eye with her performance a couple of weeks ago during the Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show, dancer Alyson Stoner released a killer dance tribute video to Missy Elliott today. Alyson Stoner, for those of you who may not know, is the little girl who danced her ass off in Missy‘s music videos in the early ’00s. Stoner is all grown up and is still a sick ass dancer … check out the Missy tribute video embedded above to see for yourself. NOW THIS is how you pay tribute to an amazing artist like Missy Elliott. OMG. I LOVE!
The 3 songs she performed last night are in HIGH demand
I think it’s pretty safe to say that Missy Misdemeanor Elliott totally stole the ENTIRE Super Bowl Halftime Show last night (sorry Katy, sorry Lenny) with her explosive medley performance of Get Ur Freak On, Work It and Lose Control … which is evidenced by the fact that all three songs are now in the Top 20 Singles Chart on iTunes. Missy‘s hits from the early ’00s are now selling alongside new singles by Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor and Mark Ronson. Missy has been teasing for some time now a return to the music scene with new music but she has proven that all she has to do is jump up on the concert stage to perform her classic old songs and she can turn them into hits all over again. Ummm ... what?
So here’s the weirdest thing you’re gonna hear all day … according to a new tabloid report going around, our dear Britney Spears is supposedly mourning the devastating death of an ex-boyfriend that she allegedly had back in 2007 (around the time she was enduring the darkest days of her life). John Sundahl, who has been referred to as her sober companion in Alcoholics Anonymous during that time, was killed by the Taliban in Afghanistan recently … which has, supposedly, left Britney devastated because the two allegedly dated. While it is very sad that this man was killed, I don’t recall Britney ever dating the guy … at all. More »
"Je suis Charlie"
Millions of people poured into the streets of Paris, France yesterday to march in unity against the terrorist attack that was launched in the Parisian offices of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo last week and last night, the animated series The Simpsons paid homage to the victims of the attack. Last night’s episode of the show garnered a lot of attention because it was written by Judd Apatow but at the very end of the episode, a solemn and very fitting tribute was made in support of Charlie Hebdo. Have a look below. More »
A real life superhero
Last night, at the People’s Choice Awards, actor Chris Evans came to the aid of actress Betty White when she was announced as the winner of the Favorite TV Icon award and had to climb the steps to reach the stage to collect her trophy. Evans, who himself won the award for Favorite Action Movie Actor, was seated near Betty and didn’t think twice when her name was called … she stood up and he jumped to her side to lend her a helping hand … and arm. As you can see below, it was a very sweet moment from a pretty forgettable awards show. More »
