Easter By Disney

The TV Guide

Yesterday was Sarah’s last full day here in SoCal and we made it a doozy of a fun day! After she and I met up with Ollie for a fun brunch here in town, we met up with Adriana and made our way down to Anaheim, CA to spend the day at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure! Ever since Sarah has been visiting SoCal since the early 00′s, she’s somehow managed to NOT visit Disneyland so Adriana and I made sure to remedy that situation this trip. The fact that we got to spend Easter at Disneyland was just icing on the cake. As I’m sure you can imagine, we had a lot of fun and took a lot of photos … click below to share in our adventures. Disney Releases The First Mickey Mouse-ified ‘Star Wars’ Promo Image

May the Farce Be With You

Last October we learned the somewhat surprising news that the Walt Disney Company purchased the Lucasfilm Company (including all of its properties, like Star Wars and Indiana Jones) for a little over $4 billion dollars. Since that sale took place, we’ve been hearing a lot about the forthcoming release of new Star Wars films from the Disney Company. But it wasn’t until this week that Disney decided to release the first Star Wars promo image that shows the world that the Mouse is Boss of the Star Wars universe now. Click below to see the just released Mickey Mouse-ified Star Wars promo image and get your first taste of the new world order. More »

A Sunday Funday

The TV Guide

After a very emotional morning, I decided that yesterday was going to be a fun day for me … so I got out of the house and stayed bizzy. I made the trek down to Anaheim, CA to have some fun at Disney’s California Adventure and Disneyland before I met up with some friends for a fun dinner party together. I ended my night at the Echoplex dancing my buns off at the Part Time Punks danceparty that featured music by The Smiths & Morrissey. It was a long, active day … but it was really fun. More »

On Safari With Disney

The TV Guide

So yesterday was my last day in FL and because I had about 4 hours to play with before I had to leave for the airport, I decided to get as much done at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, the last Disney park at Walt Disney World that I had yet to visit properly. I’m so glad I found the time because I had a blast! There are a lot of fun rides at Animal Kingdom but there are actual animals as well. So fun!! More »

Hurray For ‘Hollywood Studios’

The TV Guide

Yesterday was my last full day here in Florida and I did my best to enjoy as much of it as I could … so that meant I got to hang out in 2 theme parks instead of just one. As you may recall, I shared some photos yesterday of my day at Universal’s Islands of Adventure park and below I share some photos from my evening/night at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. When I first visited Disney World back in 1991 (an ice age ago, I know) this theme park was called Disney’s MGM Studios … I liked it back then, I really love it now. More »

Wild About Harry

The TV Guide

So, today I cheated on Mickey Mouse for a bit so that I could leave the hallowed grounds of Walt Disney World so that I could FINALLY experience the fun stuff at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure … and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in particular. I got to the park pretty early but still found that there were a lot of people there. Thankfully, I upgraded for an Express Pass and since I’m a single rider, I didn’t have to wait in line for a single ride … not one wait longer than about 5 minutes! It was a great day for amusement parking today. I loved the world of Harry Potter as well as the Jurassic Park part of the park and the Marvel Comics part as well. Check out some fun photos below. 39.3 Miles Completed!

The TV Guide

OY! So, I’m STILL pretty much wiped the EFF out from running the 2013 Walt Disney World Marathon earlier today but I wanted to get this post online to share some photos and talk a bit about my day before I pass out for good for the rest of the night. As you may recall, I ran the 2013 Walt Disney World Half Marathon yesterday and today, with my completion of the full Marathon, I successfully completed the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge. Honestly, it sounded like a great idea when I signed up for both races last Summer but, man, I’m telling you … I spent a lot of time rethinking my decision earlier today while running the marathon. It was a tough run but I managed to find the strength to soldier thru and finish strong … thankfully. Click below to see some photos of my crazy ass day. More »

13.1 Down, 26.2 To Go

The TV Guide

So … I didn’t get a chance to post The TV Guide yesterday so I’m going to use this post to update all y’all on my adventures here in Orlando, FL over the past few days. I got in Thursday night and since then, made a new friend, met some great Pink readers, played in the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World and, oh yeah, ran a half marathon. I’ve been bizzy but I’ve been having an absolute BLAST thus far. I still have some work ahead of me (ahem, a FULL marathon tomorrow) but I’m excited!!! More »

Coney Island Getaway

The TV Guide

So, yesterday was prolly one of the funnest days I’ve ever had EVER here in NY. My good friend Halli suggested that we spend some time at Coney Island since I’ve never been there before and I jumped at the chance to take her up on the offer. I can’t imagine any scenario where David would ever want to visit Coney Island (actually, when we’re here, he never wants to leave Manhattan) so off Halli and I went. We had A BLAST! We ate Nathan’s Famous hot dogs, we rode all of the rides (more than once), strolled on the boardwalk, ate lots of candy, took lots of photos … it was just fun fun fun! Check out some of the photos I snapped yesterday. More »
