Play All Day, Dance All Night

The TV Guide

This week’s Sunday Funday was one for the ages. After I spent a full, fun day hanging out with my friends at Disneyland (as per usual when Sunday rolls around), I made my way to Echo Park to meet up with my friend Ashley to partake in the Part Time Punks danceparty where we danced the night away to the music of The Smiths and Morrissey. At Disney, I got to snap a photo with Santa Claus. At the Echoplex, I got to snap a photo with a Moz cutout. I’d say my day was pretty epic. More »

Channing Tatum Went To Disneyland Dressed As Santa Claus Yesterday

Hiding In Plain Sight

Channing Tatum and a group of friends spent the day at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure yesterday and managed to enjoy themselves without having to deal with hordes of fans swarming them for photos and/or autographs. And how was this Xmas miracle able to come to pass? Well, Channing was fully dressed in a Santa Claus costume (alongside his friends who were also wearing Xmas costumes) and went totally unrecognized … until he took a photo on the Hollywood Tower of Terror ride. Click below to see Channing and co’s fun photo from Disneyland yesterday. More »

For Whom The Drake Bell Tolls

The TV Guide

After more than 8 years as an Annual Passport holder for Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure theme parks here in SoCal and after about 8 months as part of the Disneyland social club Sons of Anakin, I finally reached the pinnacle achievement in any Disney regular’s life. I finally, at long last, got to meet and take a photo with Nickelodeon star Drake Bell. Now, for the uninitiated, this might sound like nonsense but I can assure you … among the community of locals who frequent the parks year round, it’s an achievement that doesn’t mark your status as a truly legit regular until it happens. You may think I go to Disneyland often but you don’t even know. Drake Bell is THE king of Disneyland and you ain’t shizz until you get a photo with the man himself. More »

Disneyland Is The Most Instagrammed Place On Earth

I am probably responsible for 80% of the photos taken there

According to new statistics (complied by something called All Facebook), it has been revealed today that the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA is the most Instagrammed place on earth … according to geolocation tags. I’m not entirely sure how the stats have been compiled but, apparently, Disneyland was the third most Instagrammed place last year so, clearly, the Happiest Place on Earth got more Instagram love this year. Considering how often I visited Disneyland this year (and, naturally, considering how many photos I snapped there), I can’t help but think that I am largely responsible for many of the Instagram photos that were taken there so … I consider this an achievement for me, too :) More »

Sipping The T

The TV Guide

Yesterday, tho very rainy, was a very fun day for me at my home away from home — Disneyland. My social group Sons of Anakin convened for our monthly meeting so we all had to brave the downpour to spend the day together in the parks. We handled some club biz by inviting 4 new prospective members to possibly join our ranks and we started prep for our holiday party in a couple of weeks. We also got together with all of the other social clubs to celebrate the last Mad T Party concert in Disney California Adventure (who, it’s rumored the show will return in May) … and we all got soaking wet, so, yeah … fun fun fun. Feast Of Friends

The TV Guide

Yesterday turned out to be a really fun Sunday Funday with the early party of my day spent with my friends at Disneyland and the latter part of my day spent with Darion and his mom Janai, who was passing through LA on her way home to Oregon. As per usual, Disney was fun because I got to spend time with my Sons of Anakin SC peeps in the Happiest Place on EarthTM. Dinner last night was great because any time I get to spend with Janai is truly special so … yeah, Sunday was a good one for the record books. More »

The Avengers Half Marathon: Age Of Ultrent

The TV Guide

Welp, I did it … another half marathon in the books. Earlier this morning (WAY earlier) I woke up to run the inaugural Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon at Disneyland and I had a really fun time … well, mostly a really fun time. The Santa Ana winds were so intense this morning tho that the race was much more challenging than I was expecting. I probably inhaled about 5 pounds of blowing dirt and I surely got wind debris in all of my exposed orifices but the wind did keep the temps very cool and that helped make the run not hot and miserable so … it all evened out. Guess what … I have photos to share below, if you’re interested ;) More »

Avengers Assemble . . . For The Inaugural Avengers 5K At Disneyland

The TV Guide

So, yeah, I had myself quite a busy past 24 hours … in that time, I made my way down to Anaheim, CA to pick up my race materials for the inaugural Avengers Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland, I checked into my cheapie hotel, I met up and hung out with my BFFs Darion and Courtney at Disneyland and I ran the inaugural Avengers Super Heroes 5K Race … and it ain’t even noon yet. All of these things were very fun — especially the 5K which was the funnest 5K race I’ve run to date. I have a lot of photos to share, I hope you like :D More »

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Xmas

The TV Guide

After a 3 week hiatus (which seemed like a 3 year exile), I was able to get back to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure to spend the day with my friends in our Sons of Anakin social club. The parks were really busy because ABC was filming holiday specials in both parks so the craziness that usually comes from Sundays was heightened by the filming crews all over the place … but lots of fun was had, nonetheless. Miler Mornings, Horror Nights

The TV Guide

With one week left to go before I run the New York Marathon next weekend, I had one last race to run here in SoCal ahead of my big race. I made my way down to Huntington Beach, CA for the Surf City 10 Miler race early yesterday morning for one last long run along the Pacific Ocean. The rest of my day was spent recovering on the couch … and it was glorious. Last night, I was invited by a group of friends to attend Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios and even tho I hate hate HATE haunted houses, I bit the bullet for last night’s event and had a super fun, thankfully not-too-scary night with some great friends.
