So … have you wondered what it took for Henry Cavill to sculpt his body to muscular perfection so that he could portray Superman in the new blockbuster film Man of Steel? Well, it took a lot of hard work … work that was done with some help from the US National Guard military unit. Cavill, as part of a promotional campaign for the film, worked out with members of the National Guard and filmed those work outs for us to watch and enjoy. Check out the embed above to watch Henry and the National Guard in action. It’s quite a sight to behold … over and over and over again :D Lordy, is it hot in here? Whew!

This week we learned a very important lesson in pop culture: you simply cannot touch the Beyoncé (as Trent hilariously dubbed it). The Queen Bey was performing in Copenhagen when a fan got outta line and slapped her booty– and Bey was not having it. And apparently, she’s not interested in anyone touching– or touching up– her image. Remember those steaming hawt photos from H&M summer campaign? We’re now learning that there was a little beef betwixt Bey and the H&M team that tried to photoshop her friggen already-flawless body, because it was a little too curvy for their liking. AKA she looks like she eats occasionally and they weren’t sure if they liked that. Madness. Click inside for more! More »

One of my absolute favorite albums of 2012 was Solange‘s EP True. There are so few artists who I can listen to all day, every day, from the beginning of an album to the end, but my girl Solange has got it! Last year she released a brilliant video for her single Losing You and now she’s teaming up with Refinery 29 & Absolut for a new mini-video for her song Locked In Closets. I sooo wanted this to be a full-blown, official video, but it’s still a really fun and funky visual and Solange is now officially apart of their Free Spirits campaign. Peep the video for more and click inside for a recent photo shoot Solange did with Vogue Magazine. They covered her preparation for the 2013 MET Ball, and she looks, typically, fab. More »
Back in 1995, Guinness produced a television commercial that featured a same-sex male couple in a loving (if somewhat messy) relationship. At the time, the company decided that the image of a male couple in an ad campaign was not suitable for airing on TV (largely due to the British tabloid press that deemed the ad “controversial and wrong”). Late last year, the commercial found its way to the Internets and it’s been making the rounds ever since. I am in love with this commercial … which I find clever, cute and extremely progressive … especially for the time in which it was produced. Guinness has long been one of my favorite beers so I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see that a company that I love to support has been a long supporter of gay rights. Even tho the commercial was never officially released, it’s clear the company intent was to showcase same-sex love in a very positive light AND associate that love with the Guinness brand. Amazing. My Goodness, indeed.
Audi has just released the absolute best commercial that YOU will ever see in your entire lifetime. The clip features Leonard Nimoy, the actor who played Spock in the original Star Trek TV series and films, and Zachary Quinto, the actor who plays Spock in the new Star Trek films. Do yourself a favor and and spend the next 2 minutes and 44 seconds of your life watching this commercial. I promise, you’ll be a better and much happier person for it.
