Last week we got to see a Diet Coke commercial that stars Taylor Swift (and a horde of adorable kittens) and doubles as an ad for her new album 1989. Today we get to see a Target commercial that stars Taylor Swift and is an outright ad for her new album 1989. Target will be selling an exclusive version of Taylor‘s album and as you can hear above, this new commercial features a snippet of her new song Style. Click the embed above to watch the commercial and hear her new song … but be warned, Taylor does a lot of talking before the music kicks in at the :35 mark of the clip. Enjoy.
Taylor Swift has unleashed her new Diet Coke commercial on the world and as you can see above, she has utilized an army of the cutest kittens ever in her campaign to see you this beverage. The gist of the commercial is simple … every time Taylor takes a swig of Diet Coke, her kitten count doubles until she is buried under an ocean of adorable kittens. If that doesn’t make for the most successful cola commercial in the history of cola commercials, I don’t know what does. AND, because she has an insane amount of brand clout these days, Taylor is also able to shout-out and promote the release of her new album 1989 at the end of the clip. Ker-CHING! When compared to the Diet Coke commercial she released last year, I think this one is the real winner. What do you think?
Cheerios has released a new commercial (in Canada, I believe) that showcases a family of three talking about how they came to be a family. André and Jonathan explain how they met and fell in love and then share how the addition of their daughter Raphaëlle completely changed their lives for the better. The commercial shows a few Cheerios here and there but the actual selling of breakfast cereal does not appear to be the main goal of this commercial. You may recall that earlier this year, Cheerios released a more conventional commercial for Super Bowl Sunday that did a better job of advertising their product. This commercial, in contrast, is a terrible advertisement for Cheerios … and a beautiful showcase for loving family values.
Let me tell you. I’m starting to feel extremely superficial. I blame Trent, for posting all of those Nick Jonas galleries and articles… one of which taunted me until I finally had to look. Nick Jonas has to be the second to last celebrity on my list of celebrities to care about, so I’m feeling very superficial about that. Then I went to see Gone Girl last night, and I’m embarrassed at how many times I thought,”Okay, is THIS the scene where we see it?” Ridiculous. But not as ridiculous as these photos of Ciara‘s post-baby body. My superficial trend continues, so click inside for more!
Whoo! Shade, shade, everywhere, and not a drop to—well, yeah. You know. So, yesterday we got to experience the most shade ever thrown by a school administration in the form of that letter from Nicki Minaj‘s former high school. I thought that was the shadiest thing I’d read all week, but apparently not! Mayim Bialik (Blossom, The Big Bang Theory) blogs for a Jewish parenting website and, apparently, she has no effs to give about Ariana Grande‘s career. She wrote a piece about hypersexualized imagery, and how she feels her young sons are being bombarded with it—she specifically targets Ariana‘s billboard ad for her new album. Click inside for more. Our dear Britney Spears made her way to New York Fashion Week yesterday to formally release her new lingerie line The Intimate Collection at an event that was held at the New York Public Library. Ahead of the fashion show event, Britney released a first promo video for the line, which you can watch in full above. As you can see and hear, Britney recites a poem to promote the Ambrosia Collection — which is one of the collections available in her Intimate Collection. So many collections. Check out the video above then click below to see Britney at her NY Fashion Week launch of her new lingerie line yesterday. More »
So, what is the deal with Michelle Williams? I feel like I’m obsessed with her, and she needs to do more movies. I was on her IMDB page all like, “I am obsessed with all of these movies, but how is it possible that she’s only done three things since My Week with Marilyn?” All of that to say, Michelle Williams is awesome and so is her new Louis Vuitton campaign. Yes, I’m still into Kate Upton. I haven’t been checking up on the supermodel recently, but she’s still chugging along—rocking new campaigns, and being her usual, bombshell self. Mert & Marcus are the photographers who shot my favorite Naomi Campbell photo ever, and they’re also behind this new Sam Edelman shoe campaign with Upton. Click inside for more!
