One of my absolute favorite albums of 2012 was Solange‘s EP True. There are so few artists who I can listen to all day, every day, from the beginning of an album to the end, but my girl Solange has got it! Last year she released a brilliant video for her single Losing You and now she’s teaming up with Refinery 29 & Absolut for a new mini-video for her song Locked In Closets. I sooo wanted this to be a full-blown, official video, but it’s still a really fun and funky visual and Solange is now officially apart of their Free Spirits campaign. Back in 1995, Guinness produced a television commercial that featured a same-sex male couple in a loving (if somewhat messy) relationship. At the time, the company decided that the image of a male couple in an ad campaign was not suitable for airing on TV (largely due to the British tabloid press that deemed the ad “controversial and wrong”). Late last year, the commercial found its way to the Internets and it’s been making the rounds ever since. I am in love with this commercial … which I find clever, cute and extremely progressive … especially for the time in which it was produced. Guinness has long been one of my favorite beers so I cannot tell you how happy it makes me to see that a company that I love to support has been a long supporter of gay rights. Even tho the commercial was never officially released, it’s clear the company intent was to showcase same-sex love in a very positive light AND associate that love with the Guinness brand. Amazing. My Goodness, indeed.

Audi has just released the absolute best commercial that YOU will ever see in your entire lifetime. The clip features Leonard Nimoy, the actor who played Spock in the original Star Trek TV series and films, and Zachary Quinto, the actor who plays Spock in the new Star Trek films. Do yourself a favor and and spend the next 2 minutes and 44 seconds of your life watching this commercial. I promise, you’ll be a better and much happier person for it.

You know what I tell myself when I see Beyoncé in a bikini? I tell myself, ‘Self, if you got a campaign with H&M and they were giving you jabillions of dollars, you’d do be sure to have abs like that too.‘ And then I finish my bowl of Froot Loops and continue to enjoy my life (and my body) as I know it. So there… lol. We all know Beyoncé is the new face of H&M and her promo pics for their summer line have been pretty, insanely hawt. She just dropped a video ad and in it she debuts a new song titled Standing On The Sun; it sounds like a hit, y’all. Peep the video for more!

A little while back H&M formally announced their collaboration with Beyoncé. We got our first look at one of the campaign photos, and now the full set is here. I’m not gonna lie y’all. These photos are difficult to look at… I’d love to scream ‘airbrushed’ but the truth is, she looks so natural and so effing amazing, and she can seriously just go somewhere with those abs. It’s like the GQ shoot all over again, only worse because… seriously. No airbrushing, lol! Peep the gallery for more. It’s Bey!

Back in early March we learned that Taylor Swift was readying the release of her first commercial for Diet Coke. A few days later, Taylor released the music video for her single 22. Today we get to see the marriage of those two things in the just-released Diet Coke commercial starring Taylor Swift. As you can hear above, the commercial features Taylor‘s single 22 as well as, of course, prominent Diet Coke placement. Check out the commercial and see what you think.

Yesterday we learned that popstar Beyoncé was planning the release of something music-related and today we get our first look and first listen of that release. Last year we learned that Bey signed an endorsement deal with Pepsi Cola for a reported $50 million dollars and today we get to see Bey‘s first TV commercial for the brand. In a new ad titled Mirrors, Beyoncé takes a break from dance rehearsal to enjoy a can of Pepsi … and then she comes face to face with Beyoncés of the past. MM was revealed as the new face of Saint Laurent last week and C. Love was revealed as spokesmodel today. Dior has been busting out the ad campaigns recently, and their celebrity endorsements are really doing a body good. Recently we’ve seen Jennifer Lawrence looking all kinds of fabulous for Miss Dior, and Natalie Portman was directed by Sofia Coppola in a lovely ad for the Miss Dior fragrance.
