Last week we learned that Academy Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o was named the new brand ambassadress of skin care company Lancôme and today we learn that Lupita has already begun work on the forthcoming ad campaign for the beauty brand. Lupita shared a selfie that was shot on the set of her Lancôme photoshoot, sandwiched between photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, on her official Instagram profile last night and, guess what? #ThrowbackThursday: Who Remembers Wearing Underoos Underwear As A Kid?

In the not-so distant future on a planet called Earth ...

While I wasted some time on Facebook today I came up on a really fantastic 80s commercial for Star Wars Underoos (thanks Tony) and loved it so much, I thought it would be fun to share for Throwback Thursday today. I used to LOVE wearing Underoos as a kid. In fact, it was my life’s mission from the ages of 8-10 to ONLY wear Underoos underwear. For those of you unfamiliar, Underoos were underwear sets (t-shirts and matching underwear) that were themed to look like super hero costumes (like Superman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman) or movie character outfits (like any character from Star Wars). Up until the invention of Underoos (and in all the years since, I might add), underwear used to be so boring. I used to wear my Batman Underoos around the house, pretending I was the caped crusader (with a towel tied around my neck since Underoos didn’t come with capes, unfortunately). Listen: Janelle Monaé Puts Her Spin On The David Bowie Song ‘Heroes’

The utterly and completely amazing Janelle Monaé has teamed up with Pepsi to record her own unique cover of David Bowie‘s classic song Heroes for use in the cola company’s #FUTBOLNOW campaign. The idea is to celebrate music and futbol (ie. soccer) with an ad campaign that features musicians and global futbol stars. Honestly, I’m not at a all a fan of professional soccer so I’m really only here for Janelle and her inventive take on Bowie‘s song. First Look: Kristen Stewart Is The Face Of Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Paris Dallas Collection

Late last year it was officially confirmed that actress Kristen Stewart was selected as the new face of Chanel‘s Métiers d’Art Paris Dallas collection. Today, we get our first look at K. Stew in the new Chanel ad campaign … which hasn’t been officially released just yet. Click thru the gallery here to see the photos that have, thus far, made their way to the Internets by way of one industrious Chanel fan on Instagram. As you can see, the ad campaign promo photos have a vintage Western vibe which is quite representative of Karl Lagerfeld‘s Métiers d’Art Paris Dallas haute couture cowgirl-inspired collection. Does this new Chanel campaign have you screaming Yee Haw or Hell Naw?

Watch: X-Men Character Mystique Teams Up With Carl’s Jr. For A Brilliant New Hamburger Commercial

So, with the big blockbuster movie season nearly upon us, it’s about time that we start to see this year’s batch of commercial movie tie-ins. Thus far, we’ve seen movie tie-ins for cosmetics and kid’s clothing but today we get to see a new commercial for fast food chain Carl’s Jr. When I first learned that Mystique from X-Men would be featured in a Carl’s Jr. commercial for hamburgers, I scoffed at the seemingly terrible idea … and then I saw the commercial and now I love it. Haha. Even tho you probably think that the last thing Mystique would do is appear in a hamburger commercial, check out the video embedded above and you may have a change of heart. Who’s hungry?

‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Kit Harington Is The New Face Of ‘Jimmy Choo Man’ Cologne

Kit Harington, the actor who plays Jon Snow on HBO‘s Game of Thrones, has just been unveiled as the new face of Jimmy Choo Man, a new men’s fragrance due out in September. Citing his masculinity and sense of style, the creative director for Jimmy Choo explains why Harington has been selected as the celebrity spokesmodel for this men’s fragrance. The ad campaign for Jimmy Choo Man, starring Kit, won’t be unveiled until later this year but that should give his GoT fans something to look forward to as 2014 unfolds. More »

Watch: Beyoncé Is The New Face Of Toyota’s ‘Get Going’ Ad Campaign

Beyoncé is featured in a new ad campaign for Toyota and as you can see, she is heavily featured in the just leaked international TV commercial for the car maker’s Get Going campaign. As you can see in the video embedded above, footage from Bey‘s Mrs. Carter Show World Tour is used for the commercial … which likely means Bey had very little to do for this sponsorship deal other than lend her name and likeness and cash her fat check. Watch the video above and see if Beyoncé can sell you on buying a Toyota.

Back in February we learned that Madonna, ever the entrepreneur, decided to expand her business portfolio by launching her own line of skin care products. As you may recall, we learned that MDNA Skin would be launching exclusively in Japan before it becomes available in other parts of the world. Today we get to check out the just-released new video for MDNA Skin which features Madonna promoting MDNA Skin. Madonna says a few silly things as she poses in and out of a bathtub in an attempt to try and sell you on her new line of skin care products. Does it work? Revlon Releases An ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2′-Themed Line Of Cosmetics

Earlier this week we learned that singer Lorde has teamed up with MAC Cosmetics to release her own limited edition make-up line this Summer. Today we learn that Revlon Cosmetics has come up with a limited edition make-up line of their own, launched in conjunction with the release of the sequel film The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Amazing stars Emma Stone as Peter Parker‘s girlfriend Gwen Stacy and Emma, as you may know, is a celebrity spokesmodel for Revlon … so the Spider-Man/Gwen Stacy themed make-up line makes total sense.
