Last week we got to see the first photos and first video from Banksy‘s ambitious new art exhibit/installation Dismaland Bemusement Park currently on display in the UK and today we get to see a just-released “commercial” for the dystopian theme park. Banksy himself has put together an official “promo video” for Dismaland that is embedded above. The narrative is pretty dismally straightforward and the accompanying music is disturbingly saccharine, perfect for this promo video of the theme park art exhibit. Fast food giant Burger King took out a full page ad in The New York Times and the Chicago Tribune today in an effort to solicit fast food GOD McDonald’s with a proposal that the two companies join forces to create a joint burger called the McWhopper in honor of Peace One Day. In what would absolutely constitute a major advertising coup for Burger King, the proposal suggests that the two companies collaborate on a special burger that would bring the fast food rivals together in “peace” … and commerce. Burger King‘s thirst for this proposal is so huge that they even offered up mock packaging for the McWhopper. Unfortunately for BK, McDonald’s isn’t at all interested in this proposal. The CEO of McD’s posted a response to BK on their official Facebook profile that basically says Thaaaaaaanks … but no thanks, don’t bother us publicly in this manner, go away, bye. First David Beckham did it, then Cristiano Ronaldo … more recently, Justin Bieber and Calvin Harris did it … today we learn that tennis champion Rafael Nadal has become the latest celeb to become an underwear spokesmodel. Nadal is the new “face” of Tommy Hilfiger Underwear and today, we get our first look at his first promo video for the brand. As you can see above, Rafa uses all of his assets to promote the sale of Tommy Hilfiger Underwear … and he does so quite well, if I do say so myself. There is a lot of teasing going on in this video so, it might be wise to take care when you watch this video … but trust me, it’s a clip you’re gonna wanna see. Rafael Nadal is the newest underwear spoksemodel on the block, y’all … do we approve?
Remember back in February when superstar DJ Calvin Harris was revealed as the new celebrity spokesmodel for Emporio Armani and those super HAWT photos of the man and his bulge squeezed into Armani Underwear were released? Well, I have some good news for you. Armani has released a new batch of promo photos that feature Calvin Harris modeling the offerings from their Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collections … including the new line of Armani Underwear (see above). Curiously, the new collection of Armani Underwear doesn’t look dissimilar from previous collections of Armani Underwear — and it doesn’t matter in the slightest :D Calvin models other pieces of Armani clothing and accessories in the promo photos featured below so if you’d like see more of Calvin wearing Emporio Armani Underwear etc., you might want to take a gander. Back in 1989, the pop group Roxette (made of of singer/songwriters Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson) took the world by storm with the release of their debut single The Look. Next month, 26 years after the release of the song, Roxette will release an updated 2015 version of the song as a single … in the hopes that The Look will find success again. The release of this new version of the song is done in partnership with Swedish fashion brand KappAhl, who approached the group for an ad campaign … and the idea to remake The Look was born. Last month, Selena Gomez was playing second fiddle to Taylor Swift in Swift‘s music video for Bad Blood. This month we learn that Selena has been named the new celebrity ambassador for Pantene haircare products. Celebrity endorsement deals like this are a pretty big deal because they can work out very well for both parties. Pantene will likely benefit from Gomez‘s army of fans and Selena will definitely benefit from the nice chunk of change that the haircare company will pay her to front their products. Both Selena and Pantene posted photos on their respective Instagram accounts and a promo video announcement was released as well. For a few years now, Target has produced Gay Pride products in celebration of marriage-equality and Pride Month overall that have come with really remarkable promo ad campaigns. This year, the company has truly outdone itself. The gallery presented here features a few of the Pride Products that will be available for sale from Target and while many of these items are really fun, I am most taken with the stunning video promo that Target has released for Pride Month. The images and sentiment are so powerful, I have a feeling that watching the video will inspire a strong emotional response. Last week Dior released their short film Secret Garden IV that features Rihanna as their new celebrity spokesmodel. At the time, I thought the clip was pretty short to be considered a short film … and I was right. The full length version of Secret Garden has just released and can be watched in full above. The clip, as you can see, is pretty fabulous … dark, mysterious. Rihanna will make a great spokesmodel for Dior, I mean, she’s already killing the game. Watch this longer version of Secret Garden by Dior and see if it makes you want to run outside in a ball gown to dance in the bright moonlight.
Yesterday we got to see promo images of Rihanna as the new celebrity spokesmodel for Dior‘s new Secret Garden ad campaign and today we get to see the short film that has been released to accompany the print campaign. The photos and video were shot/was filmed at Palace Versailles in France and are, IMHO, really beautiful. The Secret Garden IV film features a portion of a new Rihanna song titled A Night which samples the Florence + the Machine song If Only For a Night.
