Back in October we learned that Disney is planning to release and re-release a selection of animated films, both original and classic films in 3D, in theaters starting this month. Just last weekend, I was able to attend an preview screening of the 3D version of the 1991 film Beauty and the Beast (which opens wide in theaters TOMORROW). In September, the 2003 Pixar animated film Finding Nemo will be released in theaters in 3D … and today we get our first look at the first teaser trailer for the upcoming 3D re-release.

Thus far, we’ve seen photos of Sky Ferreira (channeling Madonna) and Justin Bieber (channeling a Barbie doll) in the pages of the upcoming Music Issue of V magazine. Right now we get to see photos of our dear Britney Spears as featured in the same mag. Britney is featured alongside members of her Femme Fatale Tour team including her managers Larry Rudolph & Adam Lieber, her assistant Brett Miller and more. Along with the group photo, Britney answered some questions about the Femme Fatale Tour which shed some light on Britney‘s touring routine and philosophy. Click below to see/read it all.

Last week we got to check out the first movie poster release for next January’s 3D re-release of the Disney animated classic film Beauty and the Beast. Today we get to feast our eyes on the first video trailer released for the film. After Disney enjoyed much success with the 3D re-release of The Lion King this past Summer, they’ve decided to also re-release their most critically acclaimed animated film of all time. Last month we learned that Disney is planning the theatrical re-release of some of their most beloved animated films and among those re-releases will be the Academy Award-nominated film Beauty and the Beast. Beauty will be released in theaters in 3D next January and today we get to see the first poster artwork released to promote the film. Check it out below.

In September of 2010, we learned that the decision was made to re-release all 6 of the Star Wars saga films in theaters — in 3D. In March of this year, we learned that Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace would be released theatrically in 3D next year. Today we get to check out the first movie poster for the 3D version of Episode I. While some folks are not at all pleased with the decision to convert the films to 3D, I am actually very much looking forward to the theatrical rerelease of ALL of the Star Wars films, 3D or not.

Back in June, Disney announced that they would be rereleasing the animated film The Lion King in 3D in theaters and based on the enormous success of that endeavor, the film company has decided to rerelease more animated films in 3D in theaters. In 2012, we will get 3D versions of Beauty and the Beast and Finding Nemo In 2013, we’ll get Monster’s Inc. and The Little Mermaid. Back in June we learned that Disney was planning to re-release their animated classic film The Lion King in 3D this September and altho we are still a few weeks away from its release, I was lucky enough to attend an early screening of the film last night here in LA. The last time I saw The Lion King in a theater was over 10 years ago and the last time I saw it in 3D was on stage on Broadway. Needless to say, I was very excited to see the film last night. I am happy to report that all of the Disney magic is still intact … and the added 3D elements just make it all that much better. I loved it entirely.

Last weekend we learned that our dear Britney Spears filmed her recent Toronto, Ontario concerts for release on DVD and On Demand cable and today we learn when we will be able to SEE that live performance. EPIX has issued a press release announcing that The Femme Fatale Tour DVD will be made available in November on their On Demand cable service. It’s unclear if the DVD will be made available at the same time but my guess is that the DVD will be released after the show airs on EPIX to maximize viewership. Due to OVERWHELMING demand from pretty much every human being on Earth, a new Harold & Kumar film is on the way. This Xmas, the world will be blessed with A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas — YES, in 3D! Last week we got our first look at the video trailer for the upcoming live concert film Glee: The 3D Concert Movie and today we get to check out a very cheeky promo image from the film. As you Glee fans know, the villainous Sue Sylvester will stop at nothing to put an end to the glee club at the fictional William McKinley High School. In keeping with that spirit, Sue has released an open letter voicing her intent to get people to NOT support this Glee movie … which, in reality, is mean to actually get fans to watch the film.
