The most mysterious actors in Hollywood are always the most interesting, and when it comes to Kristen Stewart, she’s been consistent in keeping us puzzled over who she really is. We’ve watched her mature from the Twilight franchise and her relationship with costar Robert Pattinson, to award winning roles and a step into the female pool of dating.
While she’s been on and off with current girlfriend Alicia Cargile, K-stew got candid with Elle magazine for their November 2016 Women In Hollywood issue, addressing her sexuality and the stigma attached to dating a same sex partner. “I’m not ashamed, and I’m not confused. Things have changed,” she says. ” And not just with me—we’re really allowed to encourage this new acceptance to develop and be awesome.”
Back in July, Kristen spoke about her new found happiness with Elle UK, explaining the difference between dating guys and girls, and how she finally a place to be happy with her life in the spotlight. “When I was dating a guy, I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn’t like it,” she said. “But then it changed when I started dating a girl. I was like, ‘Actually, to hide this provides the implication that I’m not down with it or I’m ashamed of it,’ so I had to alter how I approached being in public. It opened my life up and I’m so much happier.”
These days, Kristen is residing in Honeymoon bliss, content with Alicia by her side. ““Right now, I’m just really in love with my girlfriend.”
