After Hollywood was rocked with news of Angelina Jolie filing for divorce from Brad Pitt over Brad’s parenting methods of their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8, TMZ reported earlier today that Brad was being investigated for alleged child abuse. Whoa.
However, just as Hollywood was beginning to reel from the shocking allegations, The LAPD has come forward, telling Us Weekly, “LAPD is not handling any report or allegations into child abuse for Mr. Brad Pitt.” While it’s a relief to hear these allegations haven’t been proven to warrant an official investigation, L.A.’s Department Of Children and Family Services officer Neil Zanville told Us, “We’re prohibited by law from disclosing case specific information or even identifying any involvement with any client.”
While rumors of child abuse have yet to be proven true, sources tell TMZ that Brad isn’t taking anything lightly. “He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” adding, “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”
While Angelina is seeking full physical custody of their brood, Brad plans to fight for joint physical custody. Ang’s rep told Us Weekly, “”This decision was made for the health of the family,” Jolie’s rep said in a statement to Us on Tuesday. “She will not be commenting at this time, and asks that the family be given their privacy during this difficult time.”
Let’s keep our fingers crossed these two can get through this difficult time swiftly and as discreetly as possible.0
