That didn’t take long! Lady Gaga surprised some London clubgoers early Saturday morning by coming on stage in next to nothing and performing her new ballad “Perfect Illusion,” which she dropped on Friday.
Rocking a pair of sequined silver short-shorts and a grey crop top that showed some serious underboob, the Grammy winner danced across the stage singing her heart out at London’s Moth Club. The performance was captured by a fan and posted their Instagram account.
Gaga also played an acoustic version of “Bad Romance,” joking with the audience, “I didn’t even remember the words” as they helped her sing the chorus.
Now that Mama Monster has returned to the world of pop, many are speculating “Perfect Illusion” is about her breakup with fiancé Taylor Kinney, even though Gaga said the lyrics refer to the non-reality of social media.
Does this mean Gaga and Kinney are never, ever getting back together? Not exactly. A source told E! News that despite what the lyrics suggest, there’s still hope for the former lovebirds. “It was a very intense, emotional relationship…Maybe she had some things she needed to get out of her system,” our insider explained. “But there’s still a chance they may find their way back to each other.”
The insider added, “They’ve been talking. Everyone around them has been saying,”‘Never say never.'”
Another couple we hope makes it because they just seem right together. Then again, that might be just an “illusion.”0
