McDreamy Patrick Dempsey And His Wife Are Dunzo!

by

For years and years, before watching Grey’s Anatomy, I’d heard the phrases McSteamy and McDreamy and McHottie all over the place, and never knew their true origin. For some reason, I spent the bulk of my last pregnancy binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy, and it was an amazing experience. Discovering Patrick Dempsey AKA McDreamy in 2014? It was incredible. So, it’s definitely sad to hear that this man is getting divorced! It’s kind of like when Halle Berry and Eric Benet got divorced a bajillion years ago—people who are, like, these pop culture icons of perfection getting divorced?! Madness. But these people are real, and real people sometimes go the way of DUNZO. So after 15 years, Jillian Fink has filed for divorce from Dempsey. Click inside for more.

Us Weekly has the story:

No longer wanting to be Mrs. McDreamy! Patrick Dempsey and his wife Jillian Fink have called it quits on their 15-year marriage, a rep for the couple confirms to Us Weekly.
“It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage,” the couple said in a joint statement to Us. “Our primary concern remains the wellbeing of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family’s privacy at this very sensitive time.”

According to TMZ, Fink was first to file for divorce from the Grey’s Anatomy actor.

According to the site, Fink filed citing irreconcilable differences and is seeking joint custody of their daughter Tallulah Fyfe, 12, and their 7-year-old twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen. Fink also reportedly wants spousal and child support.

The couple, who wed in 1999, reportedly do not have a prenup and Dempsey is estimated to be worth $40 million.

Dempsey was previously married to Rocky Parker from 1987 to 1994.

They’re so cute though!!!

The couple has three children together, so I’m wishing them a quiet, civil departure.
As far as the no prenup thing? Well, that could get complicated. Hopefully they can figure things out in a way that makes sense for everyone.

And yes, I know. Women and men the world over are celebrating this news. If you listen carefully, you can hear the sound of a million panties dropping. But, please, let’s respect the divorce proceedings y’all.

Really Shannon, you are comparing this marriage to Halle Berry and Eric Benet? A marriage that lasted less than 4 years, in which his “sexual addiction” had him cheating on her from the get? Hardly the “”pop culture icons of perfection” that you described.
